I don't want to burden my post with details, but please please pray for me.

Depression has sunk it's teeth into me once again because of a recent event. And its reminded me that I do have a very deep lonliness for relationships long lost.

Depression can be overcome! It is already defeated dt29. God has ordained you to be prosperous and you have a hope and future in him. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the Way Maker when there is no way.

I would like to share my story with you as he delivered me from depression if I may?

Well... I was home alone with my newborn son; my husband was working the midnight shift. I started to think of ways to end our lives and how my husband would be free of us. Mind you, my husband wanted us and cared for us with his life. I could not sleep since my son did not have a normal sleeping pattern then. I would be up for days and nights. Then, one night I said "I am tired of this! I will not live like this anymore!!!" I started to call the name of Jesus. I said in my head, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus." After a week of this, I was able to sleep at night. Then I read a book called "Power in Praise" by Merlin R. Carothers and that changed my life. The depression did not want to stay because I praised God all the time. Day and Night! He totally delivered me from depression and now I praise him all my days.

He can help you my brother. He can do all things. Nothing is impossible for God.

Here are some scriptures that help me when I am dealing with sadness, depression, fear and negative thoughts. I pray these scriptures over you in Jesus' name.

God is not a man that He should lie, therefore whatever He says about you is true (Num 23:19). You are a part of a chosen priesthood, a holy nation, and you belong to God (1 Peter 2:9). He has lavished His love on you and called you a child of God (1 John 3:1).

Christ is not ashamed to call you His brother/sister (Hebrews 2:11). Even while you were His enemy, Christ died for you (Romans 4:8). Nothing will ever be able to separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus my Lord (Romans 8:39).

According to God's Word you are strong, the Word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one (1 John 2:14)! You are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37)!

I pray that you would greatly rejoice in the midst of any grief because God, in His great mercy, has given you a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade- kept in Heaven for you. You are shielded by God's power through faith until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last days (1 peter 1:3-6). I pray that you would be filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy because You are receiving the goal of your faith: the salvation of your soul! (1 Peter 1:8-9)

Remember to praise the Lord with your personal all, and don't forget that He forgives all of your sins and heals all your diseases; that He redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion; that he satisfies your desires with good things so your youth is renewed like the eagles' (Psalm 103:2-5).

Dear Heavenly Father I ask you to help dt29 to get through this situation.
I pray Lord that you would help them work this out in a way that brings healing to this part of their life.
Lord I pray that you would bring closure in some way to remove the pain.
Thank You Lord that you are always there for us and through you we can find healing.
Help dt29 to let go of anything which would keep them from growing closer to you.
In Jesus name
Amen

Thank you for so quickly coming to my aid in prayer. I have based some major decisions in life out of fear and avoidance. I would avoid situations with potential emotional pain, as a result I pushed people away and hurt those I care deeply about. The fear would cause me to look at every relationship as potential harm and thus cause me to begin sabotaging it.

I lost a very dear friend to this destructive method, she was my first sister in Christ. My love for her was too much for me to manage without fear toppling it and causing me to make decisions opposite to what I truly desired.

God is working on me. I hope it's His will to bring a women into my life that will make me see that He always had a plan for me, even one that can result from my own misguided ways.

This has been a very painful realization for me.

I too suffer from depression. It has kept me from working these last few weeks, which only adds to the depression. Everything seems to pile up and overwhelm.

If there is one key to depression, it is prayer (or God). "Is any of you in trouble? He should pray" (James 5:13). Prayer is the hardest thing to do when depressed, yet all the more effective because of the sacrifice involved.

Lord, In praying for dt, I ask for him to have a praying heart. Help him to cooperate with your Holy Spirit to inspire prayer to rise up within him. Let those inexpressible groanings rise from the depths of his soul to the highest heavens. Be merciful to your servant and restore him.

Amen

These are my prayers, too.

Father,
We ask in Jesus' name that You intervene for dt29 with encouragement and with healing of all that is causing suffering. Please replace the used-to-be relationships of the past with current, better, wonderful relationships. Thank You. Amen.

It's my prayer hope that this costly lesson of giving into fear, was allowed to be costly, because something much grander is on the horizon. And God wanted to teach me this lesson so I would not allow fear to cost me His next even better blessing.

Praying against fear.

Try Psalms 27 1-3, psalms 23;4, Romans 8:15, 1 peter 3:14-15, and 1 john 4:18.

I like to write scripture out by hand while I am praying it over myself. It's kind of cathartic in a good way.
