I can't get to omaha by then. I guess I own some expensive pans if they close before I get there later.

I've done that a few times too!

I don't think they'll close, Kath. I'm suspecting they'll do the same as Sharper Image and stay open and try and restructure. I'd anticipate that if they were going to close, they'd try and liquidate as much of their stock as possible, so I think it would be more likely that they'd have big clearance sales.

Don't quote me on that, though...a business analyst I am not!

Hi Mike :) Things are going quite well overall. I'm in a good place, and God has blessed me with a good man. And two cute cats >^..^<       >^..^< and a wonderful church :)

I don't have anything to complain about. Now I need to remember that

Dear readers

this is what my sweetie and I were involved with this weekend. I'll be posting photos of the work our church did on Saturday sometime later this week :)

Oh how cool Kimberly!

heehee . . . the first thing that came up on the video was an advertising for a casino, although I didn't realize it was an advertisement . . . and I thought, "she wanted us to know they went to a casino?!"

Nice job, Kimmie! Looks like your church is doing a great job at reaching out to the local community!

Hee, hee! I can see how the casino ad would be confusing :P

It's so much fun to be involved with something like that. The house we worked on is in one of the prettiest neighborhoods in Sacramento, and the owner was overwhelmed and awed by our helping him. It also made an impact on some of the neighbors. One of them is a childhood friend of the man who owns the house, and he came to church on Sunday to tell us how much this impacted him.

Pastor Dan is awesome, too :) He's the one who performed our wedding ceremony.

I recalled that our church has one video up on youtube...here it is:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=WH4LppyC3W4

this is from youth Sunday a few months ago, when the youth do the entire service. We have some amazing youth :) The young man who introduces the skit is Christian, our junior high youth pastor.

Dear friends,

Here is another video of the Elmhurst Project. It's much more comprehensive than the other :)

Have you felt any of the earthquakes the past two days, Kimberly? They are originating from my side of the mountains. Are they strong enough to make it three hours away to where you are?

Nope, I haven't. I haven't listened to the news enough to know that there were earthquakes up your way!

Dear friends,

For those who might be interested, I've begun uploading 200+ photos I took during the 2nd and 3rd days of the Elmhurst Project to my photo album.

Yes, I have! Andrew and I just got back from our small group bible study followed by a quick trip to Super Walmart and are off to bed soon. I've been doing some overtime at work, and I have Friday off.

Tomorrow I'll be meeting a friend for lunch. On Friday morning I'll be leaving for a women's retreat near Yosemite and will be back home on Sunday afternoon. Two friends from church are riding with me.

Tuesday evening I'll be going to a spa party with some women from church, and next Wednesday and Thursday evening we may be helping our Pastor move into his new home.

Whew!!!

Hi Kimberly, not sure if I should ask, and please feel free to ignore this post if you wish, but how are things with your old roommate going?

It's ok to ask, Mike. She's still looking for a place to move and nothing she's looked at so far is quite right. She's no longer living with her sister but is staying with a coworker, and told me she has to be out by the end of this month.

Every Monday and Thursday I print ads from Craigslist and leave them in a basket on the porch for her. She doesn't want to knock and ask for them, she feels it's intruding. I've tried to tell her it's not, but she's very resistant to that. I decided it was easiest to let her do what she wants and not get frustrated with all that type of thing. I also helped myself with that by deciding not to answer her calls but let them go to voice mail. That way I don't have to deal with any possible emotional manipulation if she's in a depressed mood. Thankfully those don't seem as common right now by the tone of her voice mails. I am praying she gets the help she needs, though.

That is very nice of you. She can't do this for herself?

That's a good idea.
