So far, I am having a problem as far as the avatars. I read the info in FAQ. But when I "click to pick avatar" no window opens or anything. I wonder if that will be a Mac issue. I know I need to report that in the Bug thread or Feed back thread. Would that be a bug ya think?

Sharon, to get an avatar, you need to do the following:

1. visit Avatarity.com to choose an avatar (or more than one to suit various moods) and save it to your hard drive

2. Click on the 'My Profile' link above the forums list

3. Scroll down and click on 'Upload my picture (will replace the existing one) ' which will open a pop-up window where you can browse your hard drive and choose your photo

4. The process will upload the avatar to the forums after you click 'ok'

5. Once uploaded, the pop-up will tell you that it's uploaded. Click 'ok'

6. Scroll down to the bottom of 'my profile' and click "apply". Do NOT click "ok" because that doesn't seem to be working well right now.

Voila! You should now have an avatar!

I went back to the profile area just to double check and still no windows or way to go any further. I think I may have read awhile back that Mac users may not be able to. *shrug*

OK - I'm having problems with my avatar too. I can get it small enough pixelwise; but it's 49 KB and it needs to be 10 KB.

I guess I'll get the cafe open.

Today I have to get motivated to do my taxes. I started doing them online a few weeks ago and got stuck. They want to know the tax number for Minnesota and I have no idea and am too lazy to call and ask. [sm=rolleyes.gif] I think I'll just skip that part and see if I get arrested. [sm=eek.gif]

I don't have any fancy graphic programs. My main one in irfanview, but I also have one that came with my printer (HP something).

I have one that's small enough in size. And I've tried uploading it, but it isn't here. I'm thinking it's awaiting admin approval. I tried uploading the one that isn't small enough and it got rejected.

I'm going to email the one I fiddled with to you - it's a bit smaller in size, and is under the 10kb, I believe
