Catherine, I think I remember your saying that you liked Steven Curtis Chapman's music?
Some very sad news . . .
. . . His 5-year old daughter died last night from injuries she sustained while being run over by the family's SUV. It was being driven by her brother and he didn't see her as he was backing out of the driveway. (I think he was backing out; the accident did take place in the driveway).

Very sad. And that poor brother is going to need some serious counselling to help him with the guilt (and trauma) he surely must feel. Wow.

Catherine, the thing about following the vet's advice is that it helps with the diagnosis. If you try this diet for a reasonable time and nothing changes, then the vet can rule out certain possibilities. If you don't try it neither of you will know for sure if the further, deeper tests were necessary.

So Busy
Tuesday
Went to the appraisal office for four hours. Was busy while I was there. The bosses told me that one of them is going back to school in the fall, and they want me to come back and work at least part time starting in September!!! That means only three more months of working full time in the boring call center!!! If I am getting part time pay from the appraisal people I would still work part time at the call center, but 4-5 hour shifts are much easier to handle than 8-10 hours.
After work Matt and I drove to Carson City. On the way there we stopped at this shop that sells hand-made chocolate and other goodies. Spend more there than we intended to, but we are helping the local economy and it is yummy.
We went to dinner at the only Italian restaurant in Carson. It was decent. I had tiger shrimp linguine and Matt had his usual chicken Parmesan.
Then we went and saw the new Narnia movie. The fighting was a bit much for me. I had to plug my ears whenever they got out their swords because the high-pitched noise hurt my ears.
Wednesday
Took Princess to the vet at 10:10.
Since my chiro was still open before closing for lunch, I went there next. My pelvis felt so very very ouchy to the touch. I should have went in the middle of last week when it first started feeling twisted out of place.
Then I went to Sonic and got some tater tots and a java chiller.
Came home for a bit and watched TV. I took a short nap on the couch too.
Went to my call center job for two hours of overtime. That was fine and done quick enough.
Then I went shopping with a goal of finding a new swimming suit.
I went to Kohl's first. None of the swim suits were particularly flattering on me. I did, however, find some shirts on clearance for $2.48!! I bought two of those shirts, and then I bought two other shirts for $7.99. One of the $7.99 shirts was just too cool and something I did not think I could live without.
Then I went to Gottschalks. I had never been there before. I discovered that the second flood of the store was the ultra-clearance section. The only one-piece swimming suit they had up there was on clearance for $9.78. I tried it on and it fit pretty well. If they had one size smaller I probably would have got that. It does a decent job of covering up my tummy flab though. I also got two pairs of swimming shorts for $3.something each to wear over the swimsuit.
After clothes shopping I went to the store to buy cottage cheese for Princess' bland diet, plus some other stuff. Got a pre-made chicken for dinner. We played some arcade games on Xbox and watched the movie "Eregon." Eregon was OK, but I am tired of good guy/bad guy movies now after seeing Narnia the day before.
Thursday
Made myself get up at 10 AM since I have to start preparing for Florida where I will not only have to get up early, but it is also three hours ahead.
Spent the morning watching TV and doing nothing important.
Started work at 2 PM and worked til 12 AM.
On my lunch break I went to Payless and bought some sandals to go with the new dress I bought to wear to the weddings we are attending in the next few weeks. Since it was BOGO I bought a second pair of sandals that were on clearance. I think tomorrow I am going to take the second pair back and buy a pair of flat semi-dress shoes instead. I know there is no way I can wear heals at DisneyWorld all day, and I also planned to wear the dress to the nice dinner we are having there.
My plans for Friday are get up at 10, go to the appraisal place from 12-3, then work at the call center from 3:30-12.
Saturday I took off two hours so I could go to wedding #1 that Matt is best man in. The wedding is out in Carson City, and hopefully my truck will make it there without dying. Matt is spending the night at the grooms house so he doesn't have to waste gas coming home at night and then going right back the next morning.

I'm glad to hear that Princess is doing better. :)
I am probably too late to offer advice about the dress, but I'd have worn the spring dress too. After all it is spring and I imagine most of the women will wear spring clothes.

Wedding Thoughts
I did wear the spring dress to the wedding. The shrug I bought to wear over it was long sleeved (though thin) and it worked out OK. My legs were a bit cold, but not so bad.
The wedding was a bit emotional for me. Once upon a time I too had a big beautiful wedding, and look where I am now. Their wedding was similar to ours: simple but elegant, three attendants of each gender, familiar pastor, OK attendance, oldish church, wedding dress from David's bridal. I remember being so happy and full of hope. Now I have days where I wonder what the point is of living if even my husband does not care for me.
I have to say that I liked my wedding colors much better. Then men had black jackets, white shirts, and pale green vests and ties. The vests were UGLY. I would so never pick pale green to go with a white shirt.
I did like their ceremony much better than my own though. My own wedding ceremony felt too canned and blah. The pastor used the same speech at every ceremony he did and just changed the names.
I didn't know too many people at the wedding who weren't in the wedding part (I knew 3/6 attendants... one of them was Christina who was also in my wedding).
One guy there came over here to play Mario Party a few times with us, and he was not fully sure if I was me. After the ceremony was over he was like, "Catherine??" And I said, "Yep." He was like, "You look good. I wasn't sure if it was you or not, but you looked familiar."
Another person there I had seen pictures of but never met in person. He is the now fiancée of one of the people who was in my wedding (Christina). Mario Party guy mentioned something to the other guy about "you fiancée won't be sitting here since she will be at the head table." Then it clicked with me and I said, "Oh, you're Christina's fiancée?" Then after a sentence or two of info he realized, "Oh, you're Matt's wife? I like that guy!" Ha. Actually I am amazed that Matt has met this guy and I hadn't.
A couple people there were from the church Matt and I left when we got married. One lady I sort of remembered but not really. If I hadn't been reminded of her name I probably never would have figured it out. The other lady and her two kids I remember more.
The pastor who preformed today's wedding did one session of marriage counseling for Matt and I a long time ago. He is a very nice man who has been married to his wife for over 50 years. Last he knew we were getting divorced (because we were). When he got me mostly alone he said, "So where do you work and live now?" So I told him. Then said, "So, are you at this wedding with anyone?" I said, "I am still married to Matt," and he said, "And is that a good thing?" I said, "It is hard." I don't remember what his exact response was to that, but then he said, "Well, thank you for letting me pry for a few minutes." When I was leaving the wedding he told me to keep in touch.
I have to say that this reception experience went soooooo slow. The pictures lasted an hour and a half: oh my! I said to Christina, "If my wedding pictures took this long, I sincerely apologize. This is crazy." In the reception hall everyone was allowed to eat fruit and chips at first. Then after 70 minutes of picture taking someone came in and said, "You either need to get in there or let people eat the rest of the food." So the bride and groom decided to just let everyone go on with eating the rest of the food (salad and sandwiches and stuff). After 90 minutes finally the wedding party came in and there was a very nice slide show with pictures of the bride and groom growing up and then together. I left a few minutes after that because I was too bored and sad to stay any longer.
After I left there were toasts and cake. Matt said the bride's cake was good, and the groom's cake had good cake but bad frosting.
Well, that's all I have to say about that.
Honestly I am not looking forward to the other wedding in Florida ... I will have to stay for the entire reception because I will have no where else to go, and I only know of one person I know who is going, and it is a guy.

Your hope is not in your marriage, or in your husband. Your HOPE is in God alone. And God is more than capable of changing both Matt and Catherine.

I'd be willing to bet this pastor has been praying for you and Matt. As for the "it is hard"...a lot of marriages are very hard. I don't say that to negate what you've been going through...I say that to tell you you aren't alone in the struggle. I am determined to do my part to make my own marriage work, but I will not ever tell someone it is easy. Very, very hard, and there have been times that I know if we didn't have kids, we would not be together. God's grace is what has carried us through those times, and I pray it is what will carry you both through this time. It IS hard, and probably seems impossible sometimes, but God is bigger than all of your struggles. Hold on to that.

Yah, I thought that would be the response I would get. It is just the thought of another full semester, even if just one class, makes me sick. One month would be much less time to suffer through. The class is "psycology of personal and social adjustment."

I just want to say, thank you God for letting me not being awake at that time!! Snow does not do good things for my happiness.
