I'd be willing to bet this pastor has been praying for you and Matt.

I never thought about that. Considering how long he has been on earth and how many people he must know, he probably has a lot of people he could be praying for.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll admit that I am frustrated tonight. Matt had a three day weekend. I made him a list of things that are his chores that I wanted to get done this weekend so we could leave for vacation with a clean house. I do know that Saturday he was busy with the wedding. Sunday he spent a large chunk of time over at his friend's house. He said, "I will do my chores tomorrow." Well, today (Monday) he stayed at home all day. The only thing he did on the list was some dishes, and there were not many to do, and he was still doing them when I walked in the door. Arg!!! I was gone for nine hours; certainly he could have done a few more things. He said "I will do them throughout the week," but considering he already said he would do them today do I believe him? I am so sick of all the dog hair all over the tile floor the forms in clumps around the edges of everything. And the bathroom that is primarily his is so disgusting. And he has these stupid white pellets on the floor from his airsoft gun that have been there for weeks and weeks and weeks. I urged him not to shoot that gun in the house ever again because I did not want to pick those white pellets off the floor ever again. Before all these new ones got shot on the floor I was still finding pellets from his last airsoft gun months and months later.
Catherine ---- I think it's terriffic that you and Matt have stuck it out this far. I know things are still hard, but you have done something so many people (including myself) don't have the courage, strength, and stubborness to do.
Regarding your wedding: no, pictures were NOT an hour and a half. That's a long time for photos. Yours were pretty quick, if I remember correctly. Your photographer knew what photos he wanted and you were well organized.
You had a nice wedding.
I think a lot of married couples look back on weddings and think of their own and compare to where they are now. I've only been to one wedding since my divorce, and that was HARD!!! It's a smack in the face of all the things I did wrong the first time.
Donna's right, that pastor was probably praying for you, and will continue to pray for you knowing that his prayers were being heard.
Thanks for the hugs.
I wish I had not gotten myself so upset about the cleaning. I could not go to sleep last night, and it didn't help that Matt was breathing much louder than normal.
Today I spent five hours at the appraisal place. I should have had more for breakfast because I used up all the food I had thinking and now I have a mild headache. They asked me to come back tomorrow, but I need to get things done at home, so instead I am going back Thursday.
Saturday is getting soooo close. It is weird to think that this trip we have been thinking about since October/November is finally going to happen.
Lots of rain today. I hate getting wet. Isn't rain supposed to happen in April? Do you think when we get back from Florida it will still not be summer?
Hummmm, well, anything seems possible this year LOL!! In some areas of Wisconsin there might be freeze warnings tonight. And then by the Sunday we are suppose to be back up to upper 70s. I am so thankful we did not have 90 degrees and humidity in May this year.
I find it amusing to hear the weather forecasting guy say "the snow level is very high today so that shouldn't be a concern out on the roads." The snow level is not supposed to be a concern in late May!!! I can tell though that the top of the mountain peaks have fresh snow on them.
3.5 days left to go til Florida.
I'm so annoyed right now.
I'm moving to a HOUSE (renting), but the landlord doesn't allow cats. I looked and looked for a place that allows cats, but couldn't find one in the right area and in my price range. So I'm having to find a new home for my kitty. I'm not having much luck. So I decided to contact the people where i got the kitty and see if I could use their resources to find a new home for her through their guardian assist program. The email I get back said:
quote:
See our RESOURCE page for a long list of pet friendly apt. that allows cats.
When do you plan to move?
Try other rescue groups on our RESOURCE page also.
We are too full and too many death row cats & kittens at shelters.
I can't help but feel really put off my this. Umm .... I'm already moving, have no choice now, and am trying to find a home so my kitty doesn't get put down. And this email is WAY too snotty for me.
So now I'm at a loss. I don't know what to do with her. Brandy ... want another cat??????
Heck no. we are only allowed 2 and have 3.
Send an email around work?
Put a note up at current apt complex?
Call your vet, ask if they have any clients that need a cat, like an older person or if they have any clients that do rescue. Say "I"m moving and can't take her, she's healthy and happy and just needs a new home"
we've asked everyone we know at work.
I'm about to ask at our complex. I wish we knew more people there. Everyone has dogs though.
We don't exactly have a vet right now. she's not ever sick. After her last set of vaccinations, we just haven't taken her in anywhere.
With where you live I would think there are a few no kill shelters. Google?
Call the last place you took her anyway, they may have a client or two they could get you in touch with. We have a few clients that do professional rescue and a few that doing personal hobby.
I've contacted a few no-kill organizations. Most rescue organizations are full right now and won't take anymore. Not even just help me show her while I keep her in my home.
I'll contact a couple vets and see if anyone can help.
You would think with where I work finding a home for a pet wouldn't be this hard.
I've tried in the past and didn't get any response. I've had little to no luck with listing things on craigslist lately.
I looked at craigslist earlier today and there are a lot of listings for pets right now, and I think that my listing would get lost.
I'd prefer her to go to a home of someone I know, or have a professional find a home for her.
I'm going to miss her so much.
I'm going to put up flyers tonight at the apt complex, and ask around the neighbors that we know. Maybe someone there would be interested.
I doubt it. We already told him we didn't have a cat anticipating being able to find her a home. there used to be a bunch of people at work who wanted a cat, now nobody does.
Aww, that must be hard. I would be sad if we had to move somewhere that didn't allow dogs.
Well, I am back now from getting an eye brow wax and pedicure. My eyebrows look fantabulous! My toes are a bright teal color with a white flower painted on them that has a hot pink center. I decided to stray from my normal pink or purple selection.
Next I need to go to the post office and mail the rebate for my new laptop and also the textbooks that I rented for spring semester.
Then I might go to Wal*Mart.
Then I need to do some cleaning in the house.
For dinner we will either have grilled tri-tip or leftover meat loaf.
Only one more day of work before vacation!
I have a whole lot to do tomorrow and hopefully I can get it all done. It seems that no matter how early I get to bed I still have a hard time functioning before 11 AM. I hope this gets better when I have thousands of acres of theme parks waiting for me.
Tomorrow on my to-do list is:
- post office
- PetCo
- chiropractor
- put back dining room (Matt mopped tonight!)
- clean master bedroom (not much to clean)
- clean master bathroom (yuck)
- do rest of laundry
- start packing
- maybe straighten up the office room if I have time
I realized tonight that we are getting home Sunday, Monday I have work, then Tuesday and Wednesday are my normal day off. Do I ask if I can work on Tues/Wed, or do I just enjoy some rest after my vacation?
I'd do the one day of work then enjoy the two days off to rest up.
I don't wanna work today, work today, work today.
I don't wanna work today, maybe I just won't.
If I do not work today, work today, work today
If I do not work today, I may not get paid.
I should go do work today, work today, work today
I should go do work today, or life could be real tough.
LOL, Christine! Good song. I don't want to do much of anything today. I just finished reading Red Hot Internet Publicity in preparation for marketing my book when it is finally available for purchase and just trying to wrap my mind around this stuff is impossible. I'm responsible for my own marketing but sheesh! If I followed even half of what this book recommends I wouldn't have time for anything else! I have a headache just thinking about it all.
