Actually, I take back the thing about it being as tall as my knee. I'm not that tall. ;) It's almost to the top of my leg (I am 5'3").

He looks like a rottweiler mix. The black and tan markings and the face are all rottweiller.

He IS cute. I want a puppy. But we don't really have room for one living in an apt. I still want a kitty, but can't get one yet.

FreddyMark!! I am sooo praying for you!! Thank you so much for letting us know what has been happening, and letting us know about the MRI date! Aw, (((FreddyMark))), it has to be scarey and having to wait on top of that. Praying for strength and comfort for you and all of your family as this all gets sorted out. Mark, I'm assuming you're off of work until the testing is done?

Thanks! really appreciate the prayers. Scarey... not really, I know God has it all under control although the waiting sure is a bummer since they will not allow me to go back to work until further notice. My BMW sure has work for me to do though

Sharon, I really like you avatar. Did you make it up and if you did, would you let Fritz put it in the database for anyone to use?

Hey guys: just checking in and letting you know what I have already let the mods know. Last thursday (Apri 21), I had a grand mal siezure at work. I am currently doing Fine for the most part. Posting is a little difficult because I do not have total control of my right hand. It is getting better. They did a cat scan and an MRI and there is some kind of mass on the left side of my brain. (Yeah and to think that all this time I didn't think I had one ) The doctor wants to do another MRI in a week and see it the swelling (if there was any) has gone down and they want to stick a needle in and get a biopsy. No big deal since they found a brain where I didn't think I had one . I hope to be able to keep ya all updated although I may have to rely on somebody to do it for me so don't be to surprised if you hear from me via some one else. Blessings!!! Freddy

Freddy, I'm so sorry that you're going through this. I'm glad they found that you've got a brain though. That's a real relief. I thought that when they went looking for mine one day when I needed tests too. Will be praying that everything works out just right. Of course, we know that God will be looking after you and yours. Will keep an eye out for updates. Take it easy, bro.

Question for y'all:

Today in Administrative Professionals Day (former Secretary's Day). We have 1, maybe 3 depending on your definintion, admins in our dept who really make the dept run. My boss decided NOT to get them anything this year for this day because she doesn't think of them as admin. But I do and I think they should be recognized as such. I'm thinking of getting them a card just to say, "Thank you. I appreciate what you do". What do you think? Maybe an e-card?

OH yeah. One more note. I commented over in teh FA thread, but thought I should here too.

A guy in my office has really been going through a rough patch in his life. Since I started working here I've been praying about an opportunity to witness to him. I think this might be it. He's reading the Purpose Driven Life right now. I told him that I read it and asked if he wanted to get together and talk about it. He knows I'm Christian, but I'm not sure if he knows the details of what I believe and such. Anyway, he agreed to get together with me tomorrow for lunch. I think it'll be my lunch and his, "Just finished work time" as we work opposite shifts, but whatever.

I'm nervous and excited all at the same time. And of course God has incredible timing. At my bible study on Wednesday night I commented on my wanting to witness to Craig and to pray for the words and the opportunity. Go Figure it would happen the next day.

Anyway ---- prayers for tomorrow's lunch/meeting would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think the cards would be lovely. Several secretaries where I worked yesterday got beautiful floral bouquets from the staff they serve. I thought that was so nice. I don't like your boss's attitude. It's too bad she doesn't want to recognize the work they do and contribution they make to your workplace.

I think her attitude isn't so much not wanting to recognize them, but rather she thinks of them as MORE than just admins.

OK --- I'll do some e-cards when I get home tonight.
Better late than never.

FreddyMark...Are you talking about the tub avatar? If so I could take the name Awed off of it and you could have it. Yes I did make it. I also did the He Lives one. That might be one that would work for the data base too.

PM me if you want about them.

Christine, I went to see your blog. Did you know that you can sign up for a blog at blogspot.com and have that blog on your website instead of theirs? That's what I'm doing. You can give it the url www.klenger.net/melin/chronicle (fitting with the url you have for your current blog). The advantage of this is that people can comment and dialogue with you about what you write and do so on your website, in your blog. There are other advantages, such as the automatic archiving, people able to subscribe to your blog (I would), etc.

thanks maggie. I'll look into that.

(I have to stop typing while I'm talking. I almost called my customer Maggie and something about looking into the blog )

Is it the weekend yet? I have a headache and the phones won't stop ringing.

And Craig says he might not be able to meet today. I'm not gonna give up though.

yw, Christine. I learned it from Kimberly. She does the same. Which reminds me. Did I subscribe to HER blog? Hmmmm.

LOL about calling your customer Maggie. The building boss where I worked yesterday came by the library where I was working to say hi. I introduced myself and then she turned around and introduced herself as Maggie. Then she caught herself. I'm not Maggie! Guess she was working on autopilot and called herself by the name she had just heard, mine.

About Craig, be patient. If he's truly interested, he'll initiate a time to meet. If he's not interested, all the pushing you might do would be counter-productive. God's in control of this one.

I'm not pushing Craig. I'm going to be patient, but I'm not going to let him cancelling once let me give up on praying for him. Actually, his need for cancelling today is OK; he has a doc appt and might not be here this afternoon.

OK --- I signed up for blogger.com, but I think I need to wait until I get home until I can update it onto my website. I think it will take some tweaking to make it work right, but I'll like it I'm sure.

my patience is wearing thin at work.

But the day is almost over, my headache seems to have been relieved, and we got news of a profit sharing check this quarter!!
