Scifigirl your poem was wack,
i think high maintanence girls are brats,
to many they always lead the pack,
for me they never get to bat!
What's wrong with guys who speak softly,
or eat mad cow casserole soufflet,
i like my clothes clean and smelling great,
or finding friends with which I can relate.
So why keep your standards up so high,
you know guys like me can still be fly,
so please don't care about my paycheck,
i'm fun like a homerun in the upper deck!

i didnt have a change to read all the posts on here so im just going to ask away!!!
Do any of you have letters writen for your future spouse???
i started to write to him expecially when i get in that mood where i would wish he was next to me just to hold me in his arms or hold my hand!! hope that doesnt sound to silly!! :)

Naw, it's not silly. I did that as a teenager. I wrote to her. I since lost or threw it away, but this thread I started was a way of putting that idea public and seeing others hopes. It's a way of affirming that which alot of us yearn for, most of us, even.
In a sense, I think of this thread at times as prayers of intercession for our future spouse.

Okay, so here it goes...
First, I must say that I will not share all my deepest yearnings and desires concerning you here. That info is only kept in the heart of our Father (and maybe a journal at home  )! The Lord has been doing a deep work in me that, at times, feels like an eternity  , but He is so faithful to continually keep me! One thing I know is that He first does not want to be replaced by you, and I know He must be doing that work in you as well. I believe He has a very interesting plan for us. One that is going to manifest His awesome faithful love to a lost and dying world. One that is going to show that He is never late, His promises are sure, He never lies (what He says He will do)Numbers 23:19, His love and mercy endures forever, He changes hearts of stone to hearts of flesh (ezekial 36:26), and He breathes life into what is dead (ezekial37:1-6, John 11:1-44).
The enemy has been doing much to try and thwart the plan God has for us. But Our God is far mightier. I believe our lives will be this living epistle: 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: “ For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
There have been times over the years (at times, months, days, weeks, minutes, seconds) where I have been so discouraged, so tempted, so desirous to fall back into the world where I know my needs will be met now! But Our Father is so faithful, Jesus is being my ever Faithful Husband. Every time, He reminds me you and I are just flesh....and I am not to look to you or any other earthly man. What He is working out is not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit, says the Lord! When faced with the temptation to go back He speaks in to my ear... "Why do you beautify your way to seek love? "(Jeremiah 2:33).... "where will you go? Who is there like Me?" Right now He is teaching me that He will meet my desires for you. The temptation to beautify myself (in the wordly way) to find you is evidence of a lack of trust in Our Father. The next part of that verse says, therefore you teach the wicked women your ways. He has a call for me and all His daughters to declare to the world we can trust our Abba, for the true enduring love. Not the love of the world with all it's falsehood and selfishness.

My dear one, I have seen you struggling and striving wanting to get somewhere different on the outside than where you are at right now. But I would tell you this day My love, that I have been needing for you to get somewhere different on the inside first so that I can take you to your new place on the outside. I know you are weary of all this wilderness training, but if these changes are not made first on the inside, it could spoil what I want to do through you later on the outside. You will make it through this.
Even though you may feel like you are not accomplishing much these days, I am giving you daily revelation that is changing who you are from the inside out. You do not need to be somewhere else right now because you are still right where I need you to be. This long time of spiritual training will end one day, and you will be released into the things I have promised you. You gave Me permission to do this work many years ago, so I am just making sure that the changes in you are truly genuine and lasting.
You have been faithful and patient to allow Me to work in you so trust Me all the way through to the end, because there is an end. I did not make any wrong decisions in your past, so you need not keep second guessing where you should be right now. WOW!! I tried to read most of the posts -- but there are so many!!
I write so much in my journal to the Lord specifically about who he is and what I hope to tell him when I meet him. My mind is a ramble right now so I'll write a little and come back. I have felt led to pray for a specific man in my life (and the path to him has been very interesting!!) so sometimes I get specific in my writings and musings about my Future Husband.
~Lord, thank you for your truth. Please protect my heart and the heart of my dearest. Thank you for helping me to realize some of the lies I was allowing myself to believe and helping me to work through them. So glad to be tearing down the walls and opening myself up to the possibility (seriously!!). Please help him not to be discouraged -- please give him the strength and courage to open himself up. I know he has been through a lot. I thank you that he can see my character, that he has the ability to know who I am (if "he" is the one that you have for me -- Lord, I truly feel that "he" is). God, his heart is so beautiful and I truly don't know anyone that is like him. He loves you so much and serves you so sacrificially. He's gentle and kind (probably more than he'd like to show) -- and I truly respect him (which is huge considering my past experiences). The first scripture I memorized (even before I became a Christian??) was Psalm 27:14 -- wait on the Lord, be of good courage and he shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say on the Lord!
Lord, waiting for your leading and am sure of your love and promises.

I am srry for all the mistakes I am going to make. I am not used to having someone so loving and gentle in my life. If you need help with something just ask, I will be more than happy to help. I dont mind washing my share of the dishes or doing my share of the cooking.....i will warn you ahead of time I'm not all that great of a cook unless its steak on the grill. Sometimes I am a little dramatic...dont take me serious because I'm not. Please treat me with care, like you would your best freind....because I am. Anything "Golf" is a good present for any occasion. The most impotant thing...love God with all your strength and all your might!

Honey, today i felt slightly discouraged, But it's alright now ...I am making my way through a deep forest , and God is leading each of my steps...HE is preparing each of us on our side for what awaits us in the future...I have so much love for you..I know through the amazing marriage that he'll bless us with , we'll glorify His name and be His faithful servants...We'll form an awesome team... ....Hubby, i have soooooo much to tell you...I am a talker ...and a good listener too ...gooodness, it'll be amazing....Oh hubby, what do you prefer? beautiful sunrise above the ocean or sunset behind the mountains???i can't wait to know EVERYTHING about you...including when your mama stopped breastfeeding you  ...when did you start talking? walking?...i want to see your baby pictures.... ....oh hubby, I'll wait for you...not compromising the BEST God has for us....Not settling for second to best or crumbs...nope....I'll WAIT for YOU....I know you like cuddling, because i do...and being all silly and goofy, yet very serious too..Anyway, NO ONE is gonna make me breach my promise hubby....Your future wife is here waiting for you.....

Thank you dreamsofstardust_75 for this posting. It just really touched me at a moment when I needed it the most.
It reminded me of several things that I know God is doing in my life. I am not the same woman that I was a year ago, or even a month ago. I have sinned and I am not that sin. God has forgiven me and I have asked God to help me to forgive myself. I truly long to meet the man that He has chosen for me, but I know that he is working in my life to prepare me for this relationship.

It is so hard at times, the pruning, the reshaping, that is going on in my life.
I have been slow to realize, accept and believe that God can fill every need, every deep longing in my being, if I would just let Him. I think that is what I would say right now: "God have your way with me. I want you to be an overpowering presence in my life, fill my spirit, soul and being with Your love." I have longed for earthly relationships for so long, and yet I know that He is the one that I am truly seeking.
I can't wait till I meet the person God has chosen for me, because I know that he is preparing him for me as much as he is preparing me for him. That we will have such a strong relationship with each other because we are captivated by God, rooted in His love, fertile ground to bear His fruit.

I have a frizz, of a mop, of hair. Curls every which way, to soak up the water and suds off the floor if need be. Especially, since I chopped off most of my hair this past July because I was so HOT!
