........ Yo Babe!!!

Today I thought about you when I woke up... and I thanked God for the blessing you are in my life. I thought of you as I got ready.... I thought of you when I was driving to work.... I'm thinking of you as I type this note....

How did you get into my heart and soul so deeply??

....... and yet, I know the answer. It is a God thing.... and will continue to be a God thing for the rest of our lives.

I love you, babe....

....... always.

Rachel

Dear Future Hubs,

Someone dreamed about you and me the other day, and the person told me about the dream. It encouraged me to hope again that someday you and I will finally meet. You keep the hope alive too!!

P. S. I hope you like donuts.

If I had the chance to talk with my future husband, even before I knew him personally, I would tell him to hang in there because I am praying for him that he will be able to handle anything that comes his way with God's help, and I will wait for him.

Hubs,

Not sure what to say. I think all the important things will be said when we're together. I am excited about what it will be like to be on a Christ-ward trajectory together for however long God has marked the Kingdom calendar for the together part of our lives...strengthening each other...standing side-by-side looking toward Him and sharing one vision, one set of goals, one set of purposes for being on this earth. I look forward to helping you on the mission He has assigned you...and I know you will spur me on to be a woman after His own heart. Together we'll make a strong team.

Let's illuminate the Truth together!

...... Yo Babe!

Just wanted to let you know that God is teaching me about love this year.... so I'm not expecting you to show up too soon..... I gotta learn some things a little better... maybe learn some new things.... and the end result will be a wonderful woman who will be able to love you like you've always wanted and deserved......

Until then, keep me in your prayers- as I do you.

We shall meet.... no worries.

Love always,

Rachel

:) Hi.

We are doing well. We've seen God's unending mercy. She and I prayed together for a great job for her and now she's making more than me.. ROCK ON! :) God is faithful!

Her parents and I are getting to know each other more. I went to a Bat Mitzvah, sang Hebrew (first time ever).. it was great! I wanted to witness to them all.. when they sung "Redeemer" I sung "Yeshuah" ;)

Many people are being blessed when we explain to them how we met. I just keep giving God credit for blessing me because He deserves all of my praise!

Jen and I are learning the in's and out's of each other more. We have our own little jokes now. We've gotten alot closer and are continuing to keep communication live and ever-flowing.

Encouragement. There's alot of that. Prayer, we do it all the time. She, in fact encourages me to pray more, I encourage her to read the Bible more.. works out great, hehe.

Schedules.. we are working out times to see each other and are learning fast that lack of sleep is not good, hehe. Date nights are priority. If I am off on the weekend, we'll go do something fun. She's even as wonderful as to take care of me, pick up tabs.. IE. She's not a gold digger.. she's a true giver. We are working on our time and money management together as well.

We'll find ourselves married this year. We don't plan to wait too long on anything.

You know, in all of this, the funny thing is that our relationship was borne of me following what I thought God's will was. Not what I was going for. If it was me, a few years ago, I'd have NEVER done something like this. It took me being broken and God working on my broken heart and spirit to keep me where He wanted.

It's not about me, it's about who the Lord led me to, and how I can be a better man for God, Jen and her children than I've ever been to anyone. As long as I remember that this is all a part of the mission, and in fact, the Great Comission, things stay in perspective.

Spiritual Warfare. Boy, have I seen this. If one honestly takes a good look at the course of happenings in one's life, it may be easy to see where one is being attacked. Those racing thoughts that come from nowhere? Attacks. Old ways of thinking, old fears, doubts, worries? Attacks. I can clearly see that at times I am being attacked by Satan and/or his fallen angels in my own thoughts. Yet, hanging on to God's promises to me, on the fact that my Father is loving, merciful, and not going to forsake me, gets me through. That and, sheesh, if something so wonderful in my life is happening, and all of a sudden I feel negative thoughts come up.... God must be surely be about to bless me more!

Anyhow, how's that for a report?

Oh, alligators are tasty, neat to look at... manatees are cool.. gar fish are neat...Portuguese Man-of-war's are pretty.. and can hurt.. fresh plucked grapefruits chilled in a refridgerator are awesome! Palm trees are still cool, the sun is alot warmer, new friends are great blessings.. paintball is played like crazy down here... there's alot more jobs in the film/video and computer game industry down here too!

:)

It's been the beginning of the rest of my life in a strange land, the adventure never stops!

Sc1tor! Omigosh so good to hear from you! Thank you so much for the update. As you can imagine, I read it carefully.

Dude! This is sooo what has been on my heart lately too.

Absolutely stand in agreement with you here. Satan knows just how much a man/woman relationship can bless and encourage others. I firmly believe that marriage relationships are very vulnerable to Satan's attacks. After all, a marriage is a direct reflection of our relationship with Jesus and if not taken seriously enough, if God is not the center of that relationship, the fall of a marriage reaps much destruction in a person's heart.

Marriage is all about learning to love another unconditionally. Marriage is about being more like Jesus. And God will allow the tests to come. He will allow the challenges of negativity come in order to make you stronger.

Thank you Sc1tor. Hope to hear from ya again soon!

Kevin, thank you for sharing!!! Please pass on our love to Jennifer and tell her we miss her delightful, joyful winsomeness here! We think of and pray for you two (and the girls) often.

Terrific that FL itself is a huge blessing to you as well. You've got a great attitude! Because of Him! You will make a wonderful husband and father.

Thank you also for the encouragement and exhortation you've given us all here. "Drop by" whenever you can!!

Here is what I would say to my future husband today...

"Please be patient with me... I'm not perfect but I'm working on it. I desire to be the best wife I can be both inside and out." " I want to be a blessing from God and I realize that if I am representing God's love to you on earth that I need to really keep my focus on all the changes that God wants to make in me."

"Somedays I am really on top of things... other day i fall of the band wagon but please keep me in prayer. It is out of my love for you that I work the best the best finished product possible." "I hope to truly be a blessing from God."

My sweet, I pray that with each passing day, you seek Him more and more, and become ever closer to Christ. Walk in courage, do not fear the world, and do not be afraid when the enemy comes after you - he will NOT prevail!

Realise that you are beautiful, no matter what anyone else might say. The world does not recognise true beauty, and that is the beauty that resides within. But Christ does see it.

To my future husband...

This morning a song ran through my heart, and I really did not know where to put it...

So, here somewhere in the future... we shall hold each other close while we dance to the tune of

Close to you ~ By Karen Carpenter

On the day that you were born
The angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold
And starlight in your eyes of blue.

That is why all the girls in town
Follow you all around.
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

~~~
I am sure there will be many other songs .... many other dances... but this is the one that came to me today...
God speed....
Brenda-lee
ps... I hope you do not mind I am a whacky blabber mouth.... LOL!!!
I don't really think he exists... I did use to write to him, for a while, but it was too hard for me to believe such a person existed. If he did/does, and I could say something to him, what would I say? Maybe: I don't deserve you...
Every morning when I go out, I see young children and their parents heading to school. Every afternoon when I return to my residence, I see elderly people sitting on benches just outside. And always, always, either behind me or before me, is a mountain.
In the side of the mountain are four square holes, a kind of window. Every time I see them, I wonder who used to look out of them; I wonder what they saw. I wonder what kind of view they had, long before the school was built for all the children, and the park benches for all the elderly people, and the residence for all the students like me...
Time after time I look into those holes in the mountainside, and I keep wondering exactly who it was that looked out of them, looked down at the very ground I walk now, untold years later, as I wonder.
But only God knows. Only God knows who looked out from the mountainside, and only God knows what they saw. Only God knows all the children and all the older people and all the people in between that I see every day. And only God knows whether you even exist.
If you do, I wish you were with me, so we could tell each other the things we can't tell anyone else, show each other the things we can't show anyone else (except, of course, God). I wish you were here so we could point out things to each other, like Bible verses or flowers or those holes in the mountainside, without having to fear being ignored, dismissed, or ridiculed. I would never dream of doing those things to you, and I hope that you would not do them to me either.
I don't know if you exist; I have difficulty believing you do. But if you do, then, even though I can only wonder who you might be, I am fully confident of one thing: you are more beautiful than all the mountains of Spain. Don't ever let anyone make you feel otherwise, precious one, one for whom Christ Himself died, one beloved of God. And remember Psalm 112:
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.
The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.
Thinking about you today...
This is the first thing I ever wrote for you...
~ My Prayer For You~
Awake! O Beloved
As God majestically unveils
Nature drenched in morning dew.
Arise! O Treasure
And feel on your cheeks
The softness of His breath.
I pray that He will bless you
And cause your cup of love to run over.
May you clothe yourself with humility,
And take the arms of wisdom.
May kindness be your companion,
Gentleness and goodness your shadows.
I pray that the sky will be the limit,
To your arms outstretched to praise Him
May you faithfully follow Him
Into the path of righteousness,
Whether it is strewn with lilacs,
Or full of thorns.
I pray that His peace will be upon you,
And joy will lighten up your heart.
May you in His loving embrace,
Find comfort and solace.
May you upon His breast,
Lay your head and rest.
Still waiting........................
Wow...I just recently found this thread, and although I don't really have anything I'd like to post (what I have to say I'm keeping just for YOU, my love), I just wanted to say how much this thread has blessed me. I've cried!
I do have, Dear One, a lovely gift for you...the prayers I've prayed for you for 7 years are recorded in a journal, which I will present to you on our wedding night...
Oh, dear how stupid I'm going to look if the journal has to be thrown away after my death because you never existed...
What I think is cool is seeing when Sc first wrote this thread & what has happened in his life since it began. I bet many who have posted here over the last couple of years have seen some pretty amazing things from God too. I think it was a great idea in order to have us thinking about the possibility & living positive towards that. Thanks Sc & congrats! kd
Well, I don't know what to say, but I know that God is preparing me for my future husband. i know that he is out there. I just don't want to pick someone that is not in God's will for me. I have met men and when I tell that I am waiting on the man that God has in store for me. They claim that they are, but they don't live the life. This is very discouraging, but I know you are out there and God will bring us together. In the meantime I will keep praying for you.
