Well, to get back to the oringal topic, here's my attempt, To my future wife, wherever she is right now: Patience and hope, my dearest. Though time and space seperate us, though we do not know each other, though many trials yet remain, hold out in faith that God is good and has great blessings in store for both of us. Patience, because I fear I am not ready yet. I have squandered my time and my gifts, and have been slow in pursuing the purity that God is calling me to. I have been rebellious and self-centered, but God is working on me. Hope, because God can restore the years the locusts have destroyed. I know how long it has been, and I do not know how long it will be, but endure for me and for Christ, I pray. I am seeking my time with the Lord, so that I might pursue my time with you. All is in the Lord's hands and in His time. Until the day we can be together, patience and hope, my dearest.

hey Guys, I know this post was started a long time ago, but I think it is a good idea... I haven't read all of the responses but I will when I get time... As for myself.... I keep a journal... I think I will start writing things to my future husband in that journal. I wonder has anyone else done this? Kitty

That is truely touching if only my crush were able to read this.

I was praying for my future husband this morning and these words came to me for him: My Dearest: I am your bride which the Lord, Himself, brought out of the fire for you so I know you will equal my passion for the pursuit of holiness and justice in this world and the next. I know you are the bridegroom of fire meant for me and I was meant for you, together we will set the world on fire! Come quickly! I have so much agape love to give!

I have done that. I have poured my heart out at times. I have hoped that one day, I will be married to the one God has for me. I have went my own way with relationships and this time God is restoring me because I have been saved from all of the impurities that have affected my life. I am excited to have something to give my future husband. The one that God gives me. I will finally be pure. Praise God!!!

My cousin received a verse from the bible from a guy friend and it had a romantic meaning, I was really impressed and decided that I wanted my future hubby to woo me with scripture, for that would be truly awesome. WOW I just got done reading all of your responses and I feel ................inspired i guess.......................sigh..............to write to my future hubby too. To where ever you are and whatever your doing I want you to know that I trust and respect you and am looking forward to learning your ideals and following in your footsteps. I want you to know that when ever I finally find you I will never let you go and will strive with all my might to show you that you are valued by me above any other man seconded only by God. I will go wherever you go and learn whatever you learn and when show me your fears and weaknesses I will not scoff and raise my nose I will build you up in the lord and show you my faith in you and that I could never leave you. I will humble myself before your authority(sp?) and never go behind your back. I will strive to keep our home and children united with communication and understanding and God's principals, and to back you up on the decisions you make. I have been saving myself for you so that you and you alone would know me and I hope you will appreciate the strength it took to do so. I have never been kissed and I have not pierced my ears, those may seem like small things but nevertheless they are what I offer.

Wife, Though I haven't seen, much less know The look of your face, In my heart is clear Your beauty is like a rose - strong, yet precious, And desiring defence. What words can I say that will draw you near? What symphony, what melody shall I play? For distance and time be tyrannical; Much like this sunburnt land. I pray the Lord be with you, and keep you and above everything you follow Him; I longingly look to see you once, twice, thrice Sometime this life and hope that from then till death do we part Are we of one mind and of one heart. But most of all, let our lives honor the name of our Lord, The one who saves and redeems those on the earth. ------------ That was kindof spontaneous.

I wrote things to my future wife in my teen years. God laid it on my heart to start this thread as a way for everyone to express thier heart's desire for thier future mate. :)
