HI Joy. How are you today? I had to run to the store this morning.. Todays Temp. 103 Degrees in Downtown Phoenix..

Hisjoy -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/9/2006 5:48:24 PM)

Hi, John! I'm doing OK. How are you doing in that hot weather? Have you ever been to the Cracker Barrel in/near Phoenix? We first went to one in Missouri I think, and ten years later we went to the one AZ (last year). It hasn't arrived in CA yet.

I was wondering who was going to make the hundredth post since it was coming up soon, and just noticed that I had the honor--an honor because of you all! Thank you (((((all))))) for coming by so often to chat!

dawgfan42 -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/9/2006 5:50:41 PM)

Oh yeah. I love Cracker Barrel.. There are at least two in the area.. I love the sausage and biscuits.. I also love the apple crisp mix they sell at the store inside the restaurant..[:D]

Hisjoy -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/9/2006 5:59:41 PM)

Hi again, John! I love the country atmosphere and menu in Crackerbarrel. If Crackerbarrel would come here I'm sure they'd make a barrel, but a lot of businesses don't want to deal with CA requirements.

No, Brendalee, I haven't forgotten the story. I'll get to it.[:D]

Brenda-lee -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/9/2006 6:31:04 PM)

Thanks for not forgetting me Joy!

I will have much to share about the spiritual significance of that allegory next week. God is SO working me right now - Funny how those dust bunnies turn into giants! Makes one wonder if it is those very dust bunnies that keep us from fully enjoying the promises of God.......

Is it just me that is going through this.......[8|]

Hi, Brendalee, Trish and Trishy and everyone!

It's interesting to see your take on the furniture-moving, Brendalee. Look forward to seeing your post on that!

This weekend, Trishy, let's see...yet another attempt at cleaning house, laundry, writing letters, starting out on our weekend assignments with our mission, and definitely not hurrying through the days! What are y'all doing this weekend?

Brendalee was wondering if I wanted/expected answers to my questions or not.

I'd love to hear from everyone--whether it's in answer to my posts & questions, or anyone else's, or if it's your original thought on something else, serious, casual, whatever. On the other hand, if you're one who likes to just drop by and say "Hi," know that those special little greetings are treasures, too.

Hogans originally were for everyday family life and sanctified for worship as well. So you can feel free bring anything in here, worshipful, witty, and, to reiterate, whatever! Just be yourself! Yourself is welcome here! (((((All)))))

cherish405 -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/10/2006 11:25:47 AM)

Thanks Joy.

I've just done a blog entry on it, but I'm trying to figure out why I'm experiencing some of the things that I am at the moment, and wondering whether God is wanting to do some healing in those areas.

Hisjoy -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/10/2006 9:45:51 PM)

Hi Trish! Thanks for the hugs up there! Sounds like God is speaking to you! I read your blog and you are obviously thinking things through. Father, we pray that Trish will clearly hear what You are saying to her, in Jesus' Name. Amen. Would you like to share what He is saying so that we can keep the prayers up to date, Trish? (((((Trish)))))

cherish405 -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/10/2006 10:36:48 PM)

Sure, as I figure things through. Thanks for the prayer.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Dee

Hisjoy -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/11/2006 2:00:38 AM)

Hi, Trish and Dee!
You're welcome, Trish, more than welcome.
I wrote a little about the weekend plans just above, and so far got to the laundry and some house tidying up. We also cleaned out the garage! Tomorrow we are going to a different church than usual to represent our mission. And I will probably write some letters once I have cooled down from the heat after we get back.[:)] My hon made pork chops, collards and beans for dinner. I tell you, I am spoiled.

slushie -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/11/2006 2:03:12 AM)

Writing letters? That reminds me... i have 4 to answer. [&o]

Hope everyone has a great weekend too!!! [:D]

Mrs.Above_All -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/11/2006 2:30:37 AM)

Hi Joy! Happy Sunday to you! I hope you got a lot done from your agenda. [:)] That dinner sounds great! Can I have some? [;)]

dawgfan42 -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/11/2006 3:04:47 AM)

Wants what Joy had for dinner [:)]

cherish405 -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/11/2006 10:48:47 AM)

Letter writing? That's something that I really enjoy, but most people use email these days. I miss the days of using pen and paper. I've got an aunt and uncle in the UK who don't have a computer, so they are pretty much the only ones that I write to the old fashioned way.

I know some people put annual letters in their Christmas cards, but I can never remember what I've been up to for the year. Besides, most of the people I send Christmas cards to are online and y'all hear my news.

Hisjoy -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/11/2006 11:59:57 AM)

Hi, Slushie, Trishy, John and Trish,
Sorry, there's none left! And John especially sounded so hungry! Next time, I will ask Leonard to make more for you guys!
This is still Sunday morning, Trishy. I've had devos and breakfast and done a little cleaning up, put the laundry in to dry, and ironed a dress, and it's 8:45 now. I got up at 6 and did all this in slow motion so I don't feel rushed. We don't have to leave till 11:30!
So I've got time to relax a while.
I enjoy letter-writing too, Trish--letter-getting, too! We have several people to write each month. Somehow an email wouldn't cut it, and most of them I don't know if they have email or not. On line's great for getting news from one another right away!
There you are over in Australia and I in the US and we know what's happening with each other! Apart from everyone meeting personally, what could be better!
I see you're having a writer's block or something, Slushie, don't worry, inspiration will come![:)]

vagrant -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/13/2006 12:49:53 AM)

Hi, Joy! I am back in Medford after our whirlwind trip in northern Oregon. I am very tired, so I am going to bed now! See ya later! [:)]

Hisjoy -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/13/2006 1:42:00 AM)

Hi, Dena! Thanks for dropping by so soon after your trip! Those trips make you tired, don't they, but it's a good kind of tired! No doubt we'll hear about it--I hope so!--probably in your thread! Goodnight![:)]

dawgfan42 -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/13/2006 1:54:17 AM)

Hi Joy. How was your Monday?

cherish405 -> RE: HisJoy's Hogan (6/13/2006 3:37:29 AM)

Hi Joy, everybody.

Went to see the surgeon this morning. He's pleased with how I'm going.
