I minister to people in spiritual need. Do I have to tithe on the indulgences I sell?

My father re-binds old books in genuine leather, and my son wants his Bible re-bound. My son told me that he's going to use some pigskin leather to put them in. I was shocked! Pigs are an unclean animal! How can we surround the Word of God with the carcass of an unclean animal??!!?? I was even more disgusted when I found out that most leather-bound Bibles are bound in pigskin! No wonder we aren't seeing a move of God like we should be! He can't even inhabit His own Word anymore!

That does it. I'm sneakin in here, the lights are out, everyone's still asleep so no one catches me enjoyin' myself. I'm tryin' reall hard to snicker as quiet as I can, but that's just about enough. I'm goin' public. I'm subscribin' where do I sign?

The other day my son asked me what heroes do. I told him that they save people.

I have since repented. I know only Jesus saves, not heroes real or imagined! Have I caused irrepairable harm in telling my son this? I told him I was wrong and that heroes rescue us from danger.

Any thoughts?

Scripture says we are supposed to speak to ones another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. I'm having trouble though. See my car broke down and I need a ride to church. I can't think of any psalms, hymns and spiritual songs that I can use to ask for a ride though. I thought about "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot", but no one I know has a chariot.... Any ideas?

Sunnymom,

Thanks for starting this thread. I have a homeschool business and a few message boards. Sometimes I can get really frustrated with similar complaints. This thread gave me a good laugh. I sent it to my web manager with a note "…and we thought we heard it all!"

You guys are a hoot!

*Young Teens Thread*

I read in Acts where tongues of flame sat on the diciples heads when they were in the Spirit. I wanted my little brother to be spirit filled, so I sat his hair on fire. I think he spoke in tongues for a moment, but other than that, nothing. How can I increase his faith? I will try again after I am ungrounded.

I keep trying to meet Jesus, but I just can't seem to find him. He wasn't at the well or on the lake or in my garden. I just don't know where else to look. Has anyone seen Him?

I just saw the movie The Birds, and then in my devotions I read this verse- Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

And then I remembered that sometimes when people know something, they say "A little bird told me" so I cross-referenced birds and found this verse- Ecc 10:20 Curse not the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter.

I think birds are demonic creatures sent by Satan to spy on us and poop on our cars to make us mad. Has anyone else realized this, or am I the only one who understand The Truth About Birds???

There is a lot of talk in Acts about being in one accord. I have a ford ranger and a subaru.
Should I trade?

OK. So I'm reading in Daniel and it talks about his 3 friends being thrown into the fiery furnace. I have a question though. What kind of furnace did they have? 'Cause mine is only big enough to throw one of my neighbors in, but I have 3 that are causing problems....

<Prophesy and End Times>

The day the "is coffee a sin?" thread hits 10,000 post is the end of civilization as we know it.
