psalm100 -> Pray (8/31/2008 10:38:33 PM)

Praise the Lord!!!!

I just thought I would check in. I have to admit I am very disappointed about this so called presidential campaign. I first want to say I am not a Republican. I am not a Democrat. I am simply a believer in Jesus Christ. The One who shed His blood for me and has forgiven me for all of my sins. I am disappointed in all of the mudslinging between the candidates. I am disappointed that McCain picked someone simply to advance his political career. I am tired of all the "change" rhetoric. I am disappointed in all of the wishy washy thinking of some of these candidates. That is why it is even the more important to keep our leaders in prayer. I know the will of the Lord will be done. I pray that God will have mercy on this country. As for right now, I don't know where we our headed as a nation.

Believers in Jesus Christ must stay focused upon Him. These are critical times that we are living in. I know none of today's happenings should take us by surprise. The Lord told us in His Word that these days will come upon us. And they are surely here. My prayer is that Believers will stand firm and put on the whole armour of God as stated in the Book of Ephesians. We must stand in the face of persecution as people become more hostile towards the things of God. But rememeber even in the midst of everything that is going on GOD IS IN CONTROL!!!! We must continue to witness to those that are still walking in eternal darkness. As Jesus said in Mattew 7 the road to destruction is broad. Let us use every opportunity to lift the name of Jesus. Also pray for those in the paths of the hurricane. Pray that God will have mercy on those who may be in danger of this storm. Loving Jesus Always and Forever.

psalm100 -> One of those days (9/4/2008 8:19:52 PM)

Praise the Lord!!!

Today was a pretty difficult day for me. I arrived to work around 8:30am and all of a suddent I said to myself " I don't want to be here today". It was one of those days when I didn't want to be bothered with anything or anybody. I was even crying while driving down the road. I immediatley told the Lord I am ready to go Home. Home meaning heaven. I get those days where I just want to be where the Lord is. Away from the cares, trials, and tribulations of this life.

I have so many regrets. So many decisions I have made that weren't wise. And now I am suffering the consequences. What do I do? I continue to fight the good fight of faith. I have to make Jesus first in my life. Surely, Jesus knows my plight and He cares.

psalm100 -> A Couple of Praise Reports (9/11/2008 9:39:14 PM)

Praise the Lord!!!!

I just thought I will tell you all about a couple of praise reports. Our Lord never ceases to amaze me. The first praise report is about my soon to be 6yr. old niece. When she was 4yrs. old she was diagnosed with a rare brain diseased that caused her to have mutliple strokes. Threee of those strokes were devastating. She lost some of her eyesight and lost a lot of her speech. The doctors at one time thought she would never walk again. She underwent two major brain surgeries to increase the blood flow to her brain. Well I want you all to know that she is walking, talking, and acting like the average soon to be 6 year old. She started kindergarten about two weeks ago. She is enjoying every minute of it. And she has not had a stroke in about 4 months. Praises to our God!!!!! The Lord stood with us the whole time we were dealing with this deadly disease. He put the right doctors in the right place at the right time. Who are we mere mortals to question the method God chooses to heal? He is our Healer!!!

The second praise report is concerning one of my friends who was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She underwent surgery this past summer and they have removed the cancer cells. It was and is still a difficult road that she and Jesus walked. She managed to remain steadfast and strong in the Lord even while undergoing chemo. I thank God for his healing power.

I think sometimes we seem to focus on the negative. We sometimes think God isn't moving because he has not poured out some "spectacular" blessing upon us. When in reality, He moves on our behalf every day. Somebody needs to know the wonderful works that God does. Many of the psalms exhort us to make His deeds known among the people (Psalm 105:1). Another psalm declares the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord (Psalm 33:5). I challenge you tell somebody that God is acting on the behalf of His people!!!

psalm100 -> Fall is in the air!! (9/16/2008 11:45:35 PM)

Praise the Lord!!!!

Fall is almost here. Next week will be the official arrival of fall. Fall is my most favorite time of the year. I love to see the leaves change colors. I even love to rake the leaves!!! I enjoy the cool crisp air. It's not too hot nor too cold. You can tell fall is right around the corner. In my neck of the woods, it starts to get dark around 7:00pm. This year the time doesn't change until November. Read Psalm 148 and meditate on the Lord. It's appropriately titled in the KJV "Nature's praise of the Lord."

Good night Everyone!!!!

psalm100 -> A quick update (9/30/2008 5:16:08 PM)

Praise the Lord!!!!

WOW!!! is all I can say. Things sure are getting crazier and crazier in the political world. I don't know much about politics, but I am getting a crash course on it through the media. I wonder are things as bad as the media says it is. Do the media "hype" situations up to instill fear and anxiety in the hearts of their viewers. Yes, the economy is bad, but things could be alot worse. Where is our nation/world headed. Do we look to a human being to bring us through these turbulent times? Do we think one human being is going to fix the corruption, greed, and lies of our government leaders? Is anybody trustworthy anymore? Are people looking to advance their own "agenda" at the expense of ordinary human beings working to provide for themselves and their families? These are some tough questions. Believers we must put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. We have to humble ourselves before the Lord. The Lord has promise to take care of His own. He hasn't given us a spirit of fear. Hang on to your faith in Jesus Christ. He will see us through the turbulent times.

psalm100 -> still alive and well (10/13/2008 2:53:30 PM)

Praise the Lord!!!

I am still alive and well. Just want everyone to keep our nation/world in prayer. There are rough days ahead, but God is still in control. Continue to love and serve Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. I will check back in when I have more time!!!![:)]

Just thought I would share the above words. I got it off of another message board. This message just quickened my spirit when I read it.
I still haven't decided who to vote for. I am leaning towards one candidate but still have many doubts. God willing I' ll make a decision by Nov. 4th.

On another note, life is going ok. My fall classes will be over soon. Thankfully, I am passing both classes with A's and B's. Work is going ok. We are a little slow right now, so that means lots of downtime. I am still studying the Word of God. I love the Lord's Word. I am studying in the Book of Galatians. We are free in Jesus Christ!!!!

Have A Good Evening Everyone!!!

psalm100 -> Please pray (10/28/2008 7:21:14 PM)

Praise the Lord!!!

I would like all who read my blog to lift me up in prayer to the Lord. I am going through a very difficult trial right now. Don't feel like going into specific details right now. But any ways, I would love for God to avenge my enemies. I remind myself that I am not wrestling against flesh and blood, but spiritual wickedness in high places. I am doing all I can in the Lord's strength to love my enemies and be at peace with them. Please pray for me. Thanks everyone.

psalm100 -> Update (11/1/2008 1:19:14 PM)

Praise the Lord!!!

I have been down and out the last couple of weeks. I am dealing somone who appears not to like me. The hard thing is that I don't know why this person doesn't like me. I always try to treat this person nice and kind. I always try with the help of the Lord to act Christlike. It's so hard sometimes. The Lord tells us in His Word to love our enemies and to bless and not curse them. Of course, our fleshly nature likes to go against Jesus's Word. That's why the Lord states in His Word that the spirt and the flesh is constantly in ooposition to each other. What do we do when this happens? We depend on the Spirit of God to lead and guide us. We must be attentive to the Holy Spirit. We gain strength from the Lord.

Who knows, maybe the Lord will use me to minister to this person. Maybe I will point this person to Jesus Christ? Maybe this person will repent of their evil ways. I don't know. But I do know that Jesus suffered. Now I can understand how Jesus must have felt when the people hated Him without a cause. I will continue to pray for this person and I will continue to pray that the Lord will uphold me.

P.S. Pray for our country as we face the elections next week. Pray for our gov't leaders. Some of them fail to understand they will be accountable to God for how they rule.

psalm100 -> RE: Update (11/6/2008 5:33:15 PM)

Praise the Lord!!!

History has been made. President Elect Obama is officially the first African American elected to be president. I am glad, but I also have a few reserves about Obama. Time will tell if the change he's been talking about is good or bad. One thing about it is that Obama has great big tasks ahead of him. He needs the prayers of the righteous to intercede for him. We are called to pray for those in authority whether we voted for the person or not. So let's commit to pray for our current and future president.

On another note, today marks one year since my grandmother went to be with Jesus. She is no longer suffering and no longer in pain. I am anticipating the time when I can join Jesus, my grandmother, and all of the other saints in Heaven. Her death was kinda of bittersweet. I will never forget that cool crisp morning when the Lord called her home. She looked so at peace in her hospital bed. Thank You Jesus for the promise of Heaven!!!!!

psalm100 -> RE: Update (11/13/2008 10:38:44 PM)

Praise the Lord!!!!

I am still hanging on only because of the grace of Jesus Christ. Things in my neck of the woods are getting pretty rough. There have been massive layoffs and massive foreclosures. There is definetly a shaking going on. I am not quite sure what the future holds, but I know who holds the future. Now is the time for christians to pray like never before. Enough of the "fluff" preaching. It's time to get an understanding of the Word and be not only hearers but doers of the Word.

I am a little disappointed in my church setting where Obama is lifted up. Yes, he made history, but no he's not the Saviour of the world. We can never look to a mere human being to change the hearts and minds of the people. Only God can change the heart. He can clean and purify the heart and mind. I am praying for Obama, because he has a rough road ahead of him. But I refuse to put all my trust in him. My trust is in the only living and true God, Jesus Christ.

Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

psalm100 -> RE: Update (11/19/2008 9:06:49 PM)

Praise the Lord!!!

Guys, please offer up a prayer for me. I have been feeling pretty bummed out. Things just don't seem to be working out. I was talking with my sister the other day and shared my feelings with her. I get tired of praying about the same things day after day year after year. I have been dealing with one particular situation for 4 yrs now. Nothing has changed. I get tired of the same old thing day after day. These kinda of days don't happen to me very often. But this time they are getting the best of me. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

Also pray for our president elect. Many people are upset that he won the election, but he's going to be our president whether people like it or not. No one but God can change that fact. I read about what Al Quaid (sp) said about Obama. I would take these Al Quaida people seriously especially because of the 911 atttacks. Please pray for our current and future president.
