Thankful for wonderful people who seek after our Lord and let His love overflow from them into my life on a regular basis. What a blessing. And I'll add the AMEN to that! I'm thankful for another day to be able to be able to life for Him.

ORIGINAL: ta_mosquito Other than the obvious, i.e., salvation, the precious gift of Jesus, etc., what in your life can you thank God for today? What little (or not so little) things can you find to give praise for? Thank Away! quote:
God My little girl, Emma Marie, has been very sick. She has strep AND pneumonia. She has been running fevers up to 105 degrees since the wee hours of Monday morning. Well, I am happy to report that her fevers finally broke last night around 2:00am. She went from 105.1 to 99.0 within one hour! She hasn't had a fever since. Her temperature is now normal. I was SO scared. But now the storm is over. Thank you, Father! WOW!!! That IS Scary!!! Thank you, Lord, for healing this miracle of life!

(I haven't been getting good sleep all week, so I'm looking forward to a nice, deep-sleep nap today with her.) i feel so powerless when mine is sick like that ... high fevers like that would worry me ... but i guess we're not supposed to be feel powerless sometimes so we are reminded to lean on God

A lot. It's pretty embarrassing. I know none of my behavior shocks my Father, but I can't help but think it hurts His feelings when I doubt Him and wallow in worries. You are right. We aren't supplosed to feel powerless..... because the Strongest-Lion-of-All is our Caretaker. And He's the One-and-Only Doctor that's "in" 24/7 and never takes a lunch break and DOESN'T have an answering machine either. (Makes me feel pretty silly for worryin' like I do.)

Yeah, worry keeps us safe, but obsessing causes us to miss the real dangers...

I thank God that I have the day off work today. It was a last minute request and my boss said yes! Woo Hoo! My son and I have already got the yard work done. Which means I got the riding lawnmower working. We used the weedeater on the hill where I got thrown off the riding lawn mower last time. Still thanking Him that I was not hurt, more than a few scrapes and bruises. It's so dry form the drought around here, my lawn looks like fall. I mean there are leaves all over the lawn, dried, brown cruncy leaves!!! My new mantra is: Brown grass is pretty, brown grass is pretty. Anyway, onto housework. That way I will have 3 days of fun!! And about the worry discussion. I'm the queen of worry. Actually, in the past few weeks, several daily devotions, a sermon by my pastor, and a sermon I saw on TV were all about trusting God to meet our needs. I'm really, really really working on it. I have found that on the days I let go and let God, I feel lighter than air! He's workin on me!

I'm thankful for friends. I'm thankful that I was able to talk to somebody who believes in fibromyalgia and doesn't think I'm a nut.

I'm thankful for bellyaching, tear-producing laughter with my family today.
