A healthy body. I sometimes take this for granted. I love that I can run my worries away.

I am thankful for the opportunity to freely go to church and have a Bible that I can read without fear of re-precautions from the Government.

I am thankful for those hotel room coffee packets. I ran out of coffee this morning, and I found some coffee packets that I took home from my trips last summer. My day is saved, lol. Can't do things without coffee.

I'm very thankful to hear from my best friend who lives 2000 miles from me. Just hearing her makes everything in this world seems ok. I guess that's what it feels like to have another soul accept and understand you beyond what you can imagine. We've always said that we'd marry each other if we're opposite sexes, lol.

I've been looking for a song for over a year. I heard it a couple of times last summer; not the actual song but someone playing it on the piano. The melody was so beautiful. I knew the name of the group that sang it but was having problems finding it because it wasn't in English. Well, I finally found it tonight - complete with translation. How cool is that?

I am thankful that I chose to walk in the Truth.....even though the other choices were easier, and that by doing so the Lord is bringing me through a Trial by Fire...for Refinement.

I've been reading this book called Prayer. It's by the same author by the book Disappointment with God. Lately, maybe for a few months now, I've been feeling distant from God. I pray, I listen, but my heart is really wrestling with a lot of things....a lot of disappointments. I'm honest about it and I've posted this struggle in the faithwalk section a few times. Anyway, as I was getting ready for bed, again, I felt the nudge to pray while on my knees. Again, I didn' t do it. Sign of my defiant. But I prayed like I always do before going to sleep. ALl of the sudden I was overwhelmed with thanksgiving for everything that I have. IT doesn't take more than a few trips in the prayer section of CW to know that I have so much. That God has blessed me with so much. I lack nothing. While people struggle for jobs, health, relationships, finances, education, transportation, etc, I had been blessed with more of those than what I need and want. And though I always say a word of thanks, last night, I was just blown away with thanksgiving for everything. I crawled into my bed; it was warm and soft and sooo comfortable, I felt so much appreciation for it. The homeless came into my mind, and I said a quick prayer. It's not everyday that thanksgiving really flows from the bottom of my heart. Sure, I say thanks everyday, but it doesn't flow from the core; often times, it comes from the head. But when God fills your heart with thanksgiving, it's an amazing feeling. Perhaps, it's a way of God to stop my wrestling with Him. I don't know. Maybe it's the flu virus, lol. J/K. But I had a sound sleep last night.
