Hi Bonnie. Gee, not sure what's up with your connection problems, but I hope you get them resolved. I'm looking forward to getting to know you!

Actually, I think forums are easier than chat. You have time to make, and explain, your point. As we learned in this thread last weekend, there's still the risk of being misunderstood, but eventually you can clarify things. Chat is more limited. But in here, you can write lengthy posts, if necessary.

By the way, welcome OneOfHisJewels! I'm originally from California, too. I moved here six years ago from Marin County, which I miss terribly. Are you comfortable saying what part of California you're in?

Thank you! I'm from central California (Kings County). I'll pm you the name of the actual town. I'm sorry you miss it here. I would miss it too. Did you ever spend much time at Monterey/the aquarium, etc.? While I like Yosemite, San Diego, Sea World, Disneyland, etc., I think Monterey is my favorite part of the state.

I visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium once. Awesome!

No need to PM me the name of the town. I just wanted a rough idea. The photo in the avatar looks remarkably like a friend of mine from Marin, so I was curious...

Hi Scrubbybubbles, welcome to the forums. Sorry chat isn't working for you. I know that some posters have not been able to get onto chat since they upgraded the format. I prefer forums anyway. In chat, you can't see what's been said before you enter the room so I usually feel lost.

Awwwwwww, come on guys! We're just one big happy family here. (And that includes former West coasters who are now transplanted to the East coast. )

Well, you folks have been busy in here! Thanks for keeping things moving.

I just re-joined Classmates.com, after a 7-month break, so I've been busy looking up old friends and updating my profile. I heard from a guy I used to witness to senior year. What fun!
