cherish405 -> RE: A place to cherish (7/3/2008 2:07:33 PM)

Thanks for the hugs and prayers, everybody.

I don't remember good things about my parents, but I'm just trying to honour them because they were my parents.

Don't know how much time I'll be spending online the next few days. We're supposed to be getting thunderstorms, hail, lightning and all the rest of it. If I can get online without causing any further damage to the computer, I will.

Right now, bed is calling my name. Talk to you all later.

bride48 -> RE: A place to cherish (7/3/2008 5:55:00 PM)

Hopefully, there will be breaks in the storms so you can go online. Our state has had vicious thunder storms every day for the past two weeks, but only twice have they gotten close enough to require me to get off the computer. Hopefully, things will work that way for you. Like you, I get most of my socalization online, so I'd hate to see you miss out.

cherish405 -> RE: A place to cherish (7/4/2008 11:28:15 AM)

Had some thunder and lightning today, but not bad. The next few days are supposed to be not too pleasant with thunder, lightning, hail and all that kind of thing. I'm not looking forward to it as there are parts of the house that leak, despite the owners trying several things to fix it. Poor Bailey is going to be looking like he's in an ark if things get as wet as they did the last time. [8|][:@]

Happy 4th of July Trish!

cherish405 -> RE: A place to cherish (7/5/2008 1:03:14 PM)

Thanks, Denny. We don't celebrate American Independence Day here, but thanks anyway.

Friends are having their baby dedicated later today. They've invited us to go along. If I'm well enough, I'll be going. It's supposed to get down to 35F tonight. It wouldn't surprise me if it got colder. It's already 40F.

humbleinspirit -> RE: A place to cherish (7/5/2008 1:04:03 PM)

Hey Trish, what is Austrailia's national holiday instead?

denbert -> RE: A place to cherish (7/7/2008 6:22:44 AM)

Yes

Australia Day

cherish405 -> RE: A place to cherish (7/7/2008 1:10:35 PM)

Thanks Ray, I was just going to answer. Yes, it's Australia Day on January 26.

Talked to my oldest brother and his wife for the first time in years. Called them, and my sister in law didn't have a clue who she was talking to. Thought I was somebody else. It was strange, but good.

Mrs.Above_All -> RE: A place to cherish (7/7/2008 1:46:14 PM)

Hi there Trish. I hope you are doing well today. I wish I could send you our weather here. Glad you got to talk to your brother. [:)]

cherish405 -> RE: A place to cherish (7/7/2008 1:56:07 PM)

Hi Trishy.

I'm not minding our temperatures too much, as long as I can stay inside under a blanket. We try not to use the heaters if we can help it as there was a gas explosion just off the coast of our state, and the government has asked us to cut back on electricity and gas use.

Anyway, speaking of blankets, I might go and get under mine seeing as it's coming up to 2am. I'll talk to you later.

I thought the same thing...I guess it is the thought that counts.[;)]

I don't have many thoughts anymore.

((((((Trish)))))) For the anniversary of your dad's passing on the 9th.

Hope you are doing okay and staying warm!

Funnily enough, neither do I.

Thanks for the hug, Sharon.

I'm warm in bed. Sitting on the couch, I usually put a rug over myself to keep the chill off as cooler temperatures wreak havoc on my muscles, causing more fibromyalgia pain.

We're trying not to use the heater as often as there was a gas explosion just off the West Australian coast weeks ago. We, (the state), have to try and conserve gas and electricity until they have the problem fixed. It's already caused problems for commerce who've had to lay off workers as businesses don't have the fuel they need to run their business.

saraimay75 -> RE: A place to cherish (7/10/2008 1:30:37 PM)

How cold does it get "Down Under"???

cherish405 -> RE: A place to cherish (7/10/2008 2:47:04 PM)

Not as cold as it gets in the US, Sarah. My city got down to 33F a couple of times this week. Further south of my state, and over the eastern side of the country, it gets much colder. There are snow fields etc over in the east.

When I lived in New Zealand, it got a lot cooler, but I've acclimatised to the warmer temperatures now. Not used to it.

Speaking of temperatures, I'm going to increase mine in bed. I'll talk to you all later.

saraimay75 -> RE: A place to cherish (7/11/2008 12:20:31 AM)

Well the coldest it gets on Oahu is about 60 degrees. It dows get colder on the Big Island. Where it been known to snow.

cherish405 -> RE: A place to cherish (7/11/2008 12:51:50 AM)

That's still pretty warm. I suppose you've still got the beach to go cool off in.

cherish405 -> RE: A place to cherish (7/11/2008 6:19:14 AM)

We were supposed to have a friend join us for dinner tonight, but Joan isn't well, so we've had to postpone it.

I hope you all have a good Friday.

cherish405 -> RE: A place to cherish (7/11/2008 6:31:06 AM)

If I suddenly disappear, dinner is ready. That won't be too far away.

Hi Ray.

I'm just hanging around trying to get rid of some of my subs. I had a lot of them from when I used to hang around in humour and games. I'm down to 84. [8|] It gets so overwhelming on the nights when I come in and see that I have 118 waiting for me! [:o]
