Bailey would love that, Denny, but the vet won't let him have bones at the moment.

How are you doing, Denny, Deb?

I didn't get to church this morning. It's been pretty cold here. I also have a streaming cold, and my asthma was playing up this morning. Didn't think it was a good idea to take it to church with me and infect everybody. I actually wasn't feeling too good yesterday when we went shopping. By the end of the trip, I was so ready to come home. Thankfully John and Joan were on their way back from a store, otherwise I would have called them and asked them if we could cut the shopping trip short.

((((((((((((((((((((((((RAY)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

(((((((((((((((((((((((RACH)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I promise not to cough and sneeze on you.

We had some visitors here on Friday morning. That stressed me out a bit. They're more John and Joan's friends than mine. They've known them a lot longer. Friday night wasn't so bad. I've known them since before I came to Australia. They are family of the people I came to Australia with. We've got another friend coming over for dinner this Friday night. One of them had to cancel for that same night, so I'm not sure when she'll be over. So, despite me feeling uncomfortable about the whole 'entertaining' thing, we're going to be doing a lot of it.

We had the friendship group here this afternoon. I stayed in bed. I didn't want to infect anybody.

Bailey gave me a polar fleece blankie for Mother's Day. Normally I just have a quilt on the bed and I'm warm. Lately, when I get into bed, the quilt has been cold against my skin, so I put the polar fleece blankie under the quilt, and now I'm really warm. I won't go near an electric blanket now.

When I was 14, we had a house fire. My mother got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and when she came back, her side of the bed was on fire. There had been a fault in the electric blanket. As nice as having an electric blanket can be, I'll never use one again. I don't want to be fried.

That's cute about Bailey giving you a Mother's Day gift. Was that Joan's idea?

Yeah, that was Joan's idea. When it comes to birthdays, Christmas, Mother's Day and Father's Day, Bailey always seems to come up with an allowance so he can go shopping. He's even been known to send Grandma and Grandpa, (John and Joan) email cards. He's extremely clever. LOL! Sometimes even his mum, (me), gets email cards from him.

I'm feeling really sore today. Yesterday I went to the gym, and the rehabilitation physiologist gave me some new exercises to do. I had the rowing machine, and I also had to balance my upper back on an inflated ball, keep my feet at 90 degrees from my knees and keep my butt and lower back lifted up from the floor. My back, hips and legs really don't like me any more. I can barely walk today.

I went out for a little while today. Got a haircut, did some shopping and errands. Picked up some meals to take to others.

I've had to take some strong painkillers to help with the pain. I'm getting pretty vague now. I'll have to go to bed soon as a result.

You're welcome, Denny.

It's been another long day. I went to the gym, but not to exercise. I walked in, and the physiologist told me how I didn't look good. I thought if you knew what I'd been doing just before I came, you'd know why. In any case, I was in too much pain to do any exercising. I'm still having troubles walking.

John had a doctor's appointment this afternoon. Whilst he was there, I went shopping at a nearby shopping centre, and started getting some things for Christmas. Got myself some things to wear to the gym. By the time I got home, I needed a rest.

We've got a friend joining us for dinner tomorrow night if he's not too sick to come. John's got another medical appointment in the morning to try and find out what's wrong with his shoulder. Joan and I have to get some ingredients to make dessert with.

I've taken some more painkillers, and it's making me vague again. I'm going to have to head to bed. Talk to you all later.

It's been a really tiring, stressful day. I've talked about it in my blog.

Is anybody going to be watching the Olympics?

Was going to make some lemon butter and some banana jam this weekend, but can't do that now as we havent got a car pick items up.

I may watch some. I prefer the winter Olympics...particularly Figure Skating. But gymnastics is fun.
