Hi Fritz,
New here I have four children, I don't home school them but living a block from the school I can check on them all the time(and do) LOL.
I have felt very convicted about writing my own devotional but feel overwhelmed in my own inexperience but I will do my best.
How did you start yours?
Well I suppose that I had better go for now it was nice typing to you and reading about the interesting things you have done.
I will be checking out the homeschooling just because I do try to do a lot of activities with my own kids and their friends. Ages 10 -2 years old.

Fritz, I have been a member for nearly a year. Crosswalk got me through my last pregnancy and some subsequent issues. I feel God led me to the forum to give me the support I needed at a time when I didn't have a lot of close friends nearby to help me.

Thanks for making this all possible! I, too, like the smileys!

Hey there Kass!

Thanks for the note.

I had actually written a devo for a year back when I first started my online ministry in chat.

One of our editors got the idea for us editors to do a devotional for Crosswalk.com.

I prayed about it and agreed to write weekly.

I know this much... it has to be something that God leads one to do.

Doing it on one's own without His direction is a waste of time and effort.

Hi again Fritz,
I feel lead to write it, I just am a bit scared of rejection so i think i will write it just for my family.
I don't think it will be like others I have read in the past but maybe more on a poetic side. I did start today being three days short of the new years. LOL
But its more of a simple poem based on a verse or two. I'm sure this has been done before.
Today I sat quietly while the little ones went to sleep after I had read my morning bible study. The beginning was slow, but I just waited for God to give me the words and although I haven't edited it, I think it came out fairly well.
If you want I can pm it to you. I guess I am a little shy of negative feed back but an honest opinion and criticism in the love of God is welcome. I will post one poem I have written that has received the Editors Choice Award in the writer's round table.

have a blessed day

If the Lord lead you to write it then don't worry about any critisim you recieve.

You are His servant and you answer to Him and His leading.

Hey there!
I just wanted to say that I have been on the site for about a week now, and really enjoy it.
I appreciate the fact that people are allowed to have disagreements, even heated,(respectfully heated..lol) and not get bounced out or have thread shut-down. It is nice too that Mods step in when needed.
While it is not "the real world," it is nice to be able to have normal conversations as you would in the "real world." Some places are a bit too namby pamby, expecting all Christians to respond exactly the same!
I get so much from all the posters, regardless of agreement of topic or agreement of belief.
The choices are unbelievable, in forums and chat. (meant that in a good way!lol)
Thanks for such an awesome site, and thanks for sharing how you got started.
Looking forward to time spent here.
Godbless!

Hello Fritz , it's nice to meet you.

I have a question: can you explain the fudge thing? I started at the old Crosswalk, and I remember some fudge talk then. Did people really send you fudge? Did you actually eat it?

(Did you already explain this somewhere and I missed it?)

I love fudge!

I would put messages on the webcam to send me fudge. Yes, people actually sent me fudge. Yes, I ate it and shared it with the rest of the staff in the office.

My favorite is chocolate fudge and peanut butter fudge.

The best ever chocolate fudge I ever had was from Thorton's. Click Here

The best ever peanut butter fudge was from Athena, a sweet sweet lady in NY state.
