Thanks for keeping this alive Trish. (I was amazed it was even on the first page! I thought it'd be on page three or something by now!

How is everyone? I'm feeling a little groggy today. On my day off, too...

Day off? What does that mean

Oh, sounds like my off days. No office work but plenty of house work and running the Cadets around

I have Friday off, but the boys are in school so I'll be doing my running and stuff like that until I pick them up.

Then when they get home, they get put to work. Mwahahaha!!!

A chicken.

So do you call it a chook when you sit down to eat it or is that its name only um....before. Hey we're having chook for dinner LOL. I love the twists and turns our wonderful language has taken.

Hey Cammo, How is it going. I think this may be my first time down under.

Blessings!

Chook can be used before, during or after eating it. Otherwise you can just call it a chicken. Whatever you feel like. Same thing.

^^

What Trish said.

It's basically a slang/shorthand term.

w00t, I've got half of my assignment done! More or less, anyway. It's still a rough draft, but I've addressed the first task.

One of my mates rang the other day too (totally out of the blue, he's good at doing that, lol). I'm going to hang out with him for a while on Sunday. I haven't hung out with him in months (he lost his licence for a while there, which is why. It's a royal pain to get here from there by public transport).

How is everyone, by the way?

So if you're eating something strange like aligator tail, do you say it tastes like "chook"?

Good morning/evening, Cammo!!!

I'm a lil tired right now but it's a good day!

Occasionally one might.

But we usually use the whole word when saying "tastes like chicken".

I hope things are well.

Given a good amount of sleep, I might just be able to knock out the assignment tomorrow (at least to final draft quality -- it wouldn't take long to do the finishing touches, which I can do on Tuesday). In fact, I think I will get it done.

Oh, and I got the one I did before back...

64 and 1/2 out of 70!!!! w00t! One of three distinction level marks in the class.

I'm satisfied with that. If I get that for this subject, I'll be pretty happy.

Actually, every assessment I've gotten back thus far has been in the distinction bracket, which is VERY good.

I'm tired myself, I think it's time for me to go to bed.

It was fried gator tail. And yes...it was like chewy chicken. I don't think I'd order it again...did it out of mischief (a dining friend went to UF - mascot is Gators)

Hi Cammo, well done on your assignments

BTW I watched the Jamie Oliver show on Battery hens and how bad the conditions are etc.... The one where he kills them on TV. Has it been shown in Australia yet? What about in the USA?

I'm still eating chooks even after watching it

Hi Cammo, I do not think that the show is in the U.S. yet.

Yeah, it's been on over here already, I'm pretty sure.

I'm finished my assignment!!!!111!!! w00t!

Well, to final draft standard, anyway. I'll review it, CTRL-C CTRL-V into OpenOffice, tidy up the formatting, and finish it off on Tuesday (it won't take long, a couple of hours at most).

At least that's one thing I don't have to worry about so much.

I didn't watch the Jamie Oliver one on battery hens. I did see his programme where they sliced the cadaver though. Interesting...
