This conversation hurts me because my husband is addicted to this game. It has become more important to him than me or our family. I see no redeeming value in a game that is the opposite of everything that Christians should stand for. My husband knows that I feel this way and has promised to quit playing if it is this important to me. Behind my back, he is keeping in touch with all of his old buddies and what they are doing. He even is talking about playing again. He is going to lose his family if he continues this addiction. He is part of this board and I hope that he reads this and wakes up!!!!!

sorry Pastor Steph.

It is good to remember that Real Life is more important than w.o.w. Those of us chatting in here play with our families. It is something we do together, as spouses and parents and uncles and aunts.

We also go out and do other activities as well as play this game.

Apparently the new instance in Ghostlands (Zul'Aman i think) does not have an attunement line and drops gear as good as Karazhan. Woot! I dreaded ever doing the Karazhan attunement. ;)

So true, anything can become over done.... W.O.W. takes the place of most of our t.v. time. So instead of having pop culture fed to us, we are doing something interactive. For instance, we have a few get togethers planned for this coming weekend.

In the meantime, have to learn my way around this latest patch.

Have you had the chance to see the seamonster at Theramore? It starts raining and then it appears. They have added cannons to the docks, and I get a kick outta finding all the crew members on the ship. I have yet to be on the docks when the seamonster shows up, though. I only hear about it in guild chat.

I ran into it today. I couldn't tell what was attacking it but it's health was dropping. So I joined the fight.

The new clues on the mini map are fabulous. I thought it would be too much info in a small space but it has turned out to be a great help to me. One thing that drove me bonkers was spending time wandering around looking for the right area. Like who knew there was someone with a quest WAY up on the top of a tower in the Barrens? If it weren't for the clue on the mini map I would have missed it.

Spent some time with family on our Drenai. Spent some time with other family on Dwarves. Now to go spend some time with friends who don't w.o.w.

Happy Thanksgiving and leftovers days. And those outside the U.S., have a great weekend!

(our new zealand guild mates remind us that the world is round)

Hello,
I also enjoy WOW. Both my husband and teenage daughter play, too. They are both way ahead of me with level 60 and 70 characters. I am rather new and my main is a night elf huntress who is level 20 at the moment. I have to admit the game is more fun than I expected it to be. I had to learn how to play just to keep up with my family LOL. Recently my husband and I had a wedding ceremony in the game. My huntress married his level 70 paladin. It was all quite romantic for an old married couple LOL.

It is funny sometimes to listen to our family conversations - it all seems to center around WOW. I guess we are hooked!

our guild gets a kick out of flirting back and forth. It is a fun way to keep in touch with family in other states, too. Cool idea, the wedding.

My sweetie and I played a side game in WOW last night. We were guarding the Lumber Mill with two other players. This kid kept fussing and cussing and dissing us cause we wouldn't do what he wanted us to do. He wanted to take the mine, while we took and held the LumberMill.

Now, protecting a flag can be a test in patience, so we chatted with one of the other players (she and her husband both play) and started responding back to the kiddo. It was kinda naughty fun, gently poking fun at his arrogance. Gave us something to do while we waited for the horde to come and try to take us out.

I have to say, the Dwarves at Iron Forge know how to "deck the halls". Also, I really like getting my husband with snowflakes (when you kiss under the mistletoe, you get that or a reindeer to ride... complete with jingle bells). When I get him, he walks around with his personal snow storm.

Yeah. I have enjoyed the snowfall, too. I admit to going around and spreading Christmas spirit with the holly you get from the Winter Reveler's. Had a great snowball fight one night too.

I am a Hunter. Does anyone know how I can get more training points for my pet? ( I'm level 32 )

Happy New Year to All!

http://good-intentions.info/hunterpets

this is a good site. Tells you what to tame and hunt with for the next skill to teach to your pet. I am glad that I am playing with my husband and he knows all of these things. Makes it alot less frustrating for me.
