If you pvp you might appreciate this. Often in the chatter amongst players, there are those who get very upset and cuss at other players because things are not going the way they want. And then they just want to give up on the battle and call the other players Noobs.

Someone took the time to add what I had been thinking quiet awhile, " to think I pay $15 a month to listen to someone whine at me"... and I added, "their mom pays for their account so that they'll whine at someone else for a change"...to which someone else added, "their mom plays horde"... ROFL

i rarely pvp but the story is funny! i did wg over the weekend to get the olympic tabard but our team got slaughtered. it was actually pretty annoying, after horde captures our flag twice someone rallies the alliance to start playing defense just postponing the inevitable loss. i've become very anti buying armor but broke down again this weekend when i found some good upgrades. any good instances that anyone can think of off top of their head that might be good for some of my guild 70s to run my level 49 warrior through for gear?

My hunter got an owl. My brother in law and husband both have an owl and my sis in law has a flying serpent. I think if the four of us pvp together, the annoyance factor alone will be worth it. Imagine four flying pets in your face!

bring it on!

You might try Uldaman or Dire Maul.... If you were a little higher, I would say stratholme.... (live side)

I don't know the Alli instances very well though.... I'm a hordie :)

We recently switched to a PVP server (our guild migrated).....

I am TRYING to get used to it.... but I have noticed that there are alot of ganking children out there... seriously bad manners.... so I must say I need to apologize to some NELFS and gnomes....

After getting ganked numerous times, I now hold no quarter

Sorry guys! :p

thanks restored ... i'll look up those instances ... i hit 50 last night YAY! put my talent point in rampage level 1 which is a lot of fun! (Warrior goes on a rampage, increasing attack power by 30 and causing most successful melee attacks to increase attack power by an additional 30. This effect will stack up to 5 times. Lasts 30 seconds. This ability can only be used after scoring a critical hit.)

regarding your pvp and ganking ... ashenvale has been under attack last couple weeks seemed really peaceful before then and tanaris last couple nights both by horde but then enough alliance come clean it up ... i did beat up a poor horde after he finished deadmines last night, i figure he had his fun there and this makes it more memorable for him :D it is such a vicious cycle ... i prolly woulda rolled on a pve server but all my friends were on a pvp one (stormreaver) ... i was thorougly ticked off one night trying to quest in wetlands but hasnt been too frustrating an experience overall ...

Thinking more on instances....

In Burning Steppes there is Black Rock Depths and Black Rock Spire.... Spire I think is the harder of the 2....

Possibly Scholomance... but I think that may be more for clothies.... (although with my luck on drops, its always dropping plate, leather and mail when I need cloth).

dinged 51 last night - w00t! steamwheedle quests + hinterlands really easy for a 49/50 and giving good XP (the quests not the mobs i have to kill) - thanks restored_heart - i'm gonna try to look those up this week so i can be ready for monday to instance. my guild respecced me to fury which is incredible fun and easy to level with but it seems it's so much easier to find groups if one is a tank ...

Well, My hubby plays an OT (off-tank)... He is arms and fury (dual wield) and is able to tank, b/c I pair his warrior with my Disc/Holy priest.... He does way more DPS and doesn't have to worry about health (keep fort and spirit buffs). I wouldn't worry about tanking until you are running alot of instances where that is what they need from you... If you are lvling... the DPS is the way to go I think...

One thing my hubby does is carry a shield in his bags so that when he needs to up his armor he can...

nods that is good idea, i have the awesome scarlet monastary shield in my bag for 1500 armor which is still pretty good even at lvl 51 ... thanks for the thoughts ... i am doing pure fury, i should probably look at some common talent builds ... i don't really care about pvp at this point

If you want, you can go to wowarmory and look up my hubby's toon on Maeiv and one like him on Thrall servers...

Look up Anric on those servers...

Just remember that those toons are specked to pair with Chaya (a Disc/holy priest = she is specked to buff others and heal....)

Level 50-55 for me has always been about BRD (Blackrock Depths)...some killer plate drops from several bosses. Also, run Maraudon a couple times to get the Helm of the Mountain from Landslide (giant boss on the way to Princess). YOu won't need another helm until Outland. I would run ST several times also...some excellent weapon drops...especially if you get the Dragon's Call sword to drop. Thottbot it and then /drool ;)

As for running Dire Maul...yes, it has some good drops, but the mobs are too high level for you at 50. The gear you get will be instantly replaced when you hit Outland also. That, and it's nearly impossible to put together a group on alliance side because DM is a pain to get to. You might get lucky because pallies have to run it to get their epic mount and rogues have some high-level quest there also as I hear. Stratholme is also too high for a level 50, however, at about level 55 you could run Scholomance. Personally, I recommend questing to 58 and then hitting Outland. BRD is the last old world instance I run with any regularity.

Hope that helps!

I always thought that the Horde were "bad guys" but ya know, now that I've played a little bit on a deathknight... I've changed my mind. The horde are just misunderstood and suffering neglect/arrogance. Deathknights are downright MEAN... and yes, I have a name picked out for mine when I get to make a keeper.

yay, i'm up to 52. i got like 4 tanking invites from PUGs for various instances and i finally said yes to sunken temple. now that i am fury, everyone asks me to group. it'd quite different tanking multiple mobs rather than just one, still getting used to it. our healer disappeared toward the end but i was able to convince a 70 pally from our guild to help us out and i got some nice stuff tanking gear - some great stamina boots and a better shield which is good if i tank i guess. i'm questing over in that town above un'goro crater now ... i'm gonna be doing brd this week ...

p.s. horde are still bad guys as i see and hear way more examples of horde ganking than alliance ...

If you are a good tank, you will get lots of invites to PUGs. I get invites as a pallidan but I'm healer (darn good one, too) not a tank. And I usually don't have time to do an instance with PUGS.

Having tanked as a bear in a lower level instance, I have deep respect for tanks. I bow to you.

Well, in my experience as Horde.... I have been ganked WAY more times by Alliance.... but as a rule, I do not gank, unless they have gotten me first....

I think mainly it has to do with which side you play....

Not all hordies are bad guys

For us too... we actually regularly have allis hanging outside our area, in groups..... especially they like to gank around the Satyr areas....

I also have had problems in Tanaris.... Allis that wanted to quest where I was, took me out as I was finishing up 2 wastewanders (I was low on health and mana) - it was a group of 4 allis to one priest....

When I rez'd and went to another area to continue questing, they continued to do the same thing....

I think the true issue is that there are immature kids on servers everywhere....

Also, not to mention that it is SO much fun to have a lvl 70 gnome mage come up behind you and one shot you as a 20 something in the charred vale - as you are trying to quest and kill harpies.... (You know, if he got honor points for it - it wouldn't feel so bad... also if it was only a one time thing....) Also, I had passed up bothering any alli questors in the area, we actually were getting along just fine...

I have found good and bad on both sides...

I just like the horde areas better...

M'love and I play on pve and rp servers so if there is any ganking to be done it is usually just outside of battle grounds. M'love will go after horde if they are pvp flagged. In fact, just got a BE on Q'ailous Island.

We have both been on level 29 gninja gnome rogues and bounced around like crazies bothering horde, just cause it was too silly and fun. And get my in-laws on their lock gnomes and we can be quite the pests.

Running as new horde (our cows are level 26) it is fun to see new things and do new quests since we both have a number of Alliance alts.
My older son has a tendency to do dailies on the island while flagged for pvp, guess he likes the challenge and plenty take him up on it.

O.K> what does GYTTFT stand for?

btw, congratz on the dingage. It seems that they nerf the A-Me escort quest but you still don't want to get stepped on by the big dinosaurs!

yeah a-me was more dicey by the fact that horde were in the area. a 70 from my guild helped me out some. the apes were just below my skinning level :( i missed a golden chance for LOTS of leather ... besides for the horde, i really liked this zone ... not as much as theramore but it was cool killing dinosaurs for variety ... afterwards he ran me through brd and then we joined a 70 and couple other guildies for sunken temple. i played a bit monday night and got past halfway to 56 but was sick last night. i think i will have enough rested xp for 56 so that's cool.

gyttft is an expression in the singles forum here for 'get ye to the flirt thread' ... we were having an open house in that thread this past weekend lol so i had changed my avatar ... i guess i should change it back ...

edit: that quest you mentioned: "Chasing A-Me 01" is another pop culture reference by wow toward the movie 'chasing amy'
