John_O, here-on out to be referred to as "Johnno" (much easier to type another n than a _ I hope that's okay).
This is John's thread to do with as he pleases. Perhaps he will (en)lighten you with his plethora of jokes.

I'm sitting here grinning from ear to ear. After just getting home from a bad trip and having tomorrow being the one year anniversary I really needed this. Whether the thread ever gets posted to ever again doesn't really matter to me. Knowing that you all thought of me enough is a blessing that I'm not sure I can even live up to.
(The situation really calls for a really, really bad pun but I'm just speachless. So I'll go out on a limb and assume you all loved the prior stories. I'll try not to get too nutty or fruity though because I wouldn't want you all to leave)

I didn't know for sure if jokes were allowed in your forum ... but then I remembered you were the King of Corn ... so ... to help lighten your mood ... (I thought it appropriate because of you foundness of redheads.)
A man is dining in a fancy restaurant, and there is a gorgeous redhead sitting at the next table. He had been checking her out since he sat down, but lacked the nerve to talk with her.
Suddenly she sneezes and her glass eye comes flying out of its socket towards the man. He reflexively reaches out, grabs it out of the air, and hands it back.
"Oh my, I am so sorry," the woman says as she pops her eye back in place. "Let me buy you dessert to make it up to you."
They enjoy a wonderful dessert together, and afterwards, the woman invites him to the theater followed by drinks. After paying for everything, she asks him if he would like to come to her place and stay for breakfast the next morning.
The next morning, she cooks a gourmet meal with all the trimmings. The guy is amazed! Everything has been incredible! "You know," he said, "you are the perfect woman. Are you this nice to every guy you meet?"
"No," she replies, "you just happened to catch my eye."

OK. Since It's my thread (thanks to you all) I'll give you a small glimpse into my world.
As you know I'm a recent widower. One year ago today my Michele went to heaven.
Here's a link to the prayer request thread that was posted on www.freerepublic.com This link takes you to post 129 where I responded and filled the people in on what was happening. (have tissues ready though)

I've only got one picture of my Michele on the computer here. She always loved being near me. I used to come home and find her wearing my shirts cause it made her feel closer to me (and she looked so cute in them too). At the time this pic was taken we were remodelling the kitchen, bath and dining room. I was working in the dining room where the picture was taken from and it's easy to see where she was.

Now this next picture is for the brave of heart and strong of stomach only. One half of it is a vision of unsurpassed beauty. The other half is of me.

I hope these pictures are accessible. I don't have access to the website from here (firewall is really picky). If not I'll fix them tonight. (Someone out there please let me know if they work (or not) thanks)
Let's try now. I warn you though I don't think the second picture is a very good one. Autumn of course looks wonderful. Don't know about the other half of it though
