Glad to see so many Kingmen fans. They did a good job at our church in Dec. It was one of their first concerts without a band

Welcome bcicio! We are going to hear them this Sunday at a church just down the road. I've been pretty curious how they sound without that band.

I'm not captain smooth , but do know that they are trying people out for the piano position at least. Ray said (at a concert recently) that they are going to take their time.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who received this but thought I'd go ahead and post it since no one else has yet.

Our tenor Eric Phillips has requested prayer for his father Ernie Phillips. Ernie has been battling abdominal problems since before Christmas. A mass has been found in his colon and they plan to remove the mass soon. Please be in prayer for all of the Phillips family as they walk through the days ahead. Our position and prayer is that God is still in the healing business and we are believing for a touch of God on Ernie's life. We covet your prayer. Hopefully we will see some more 50th Anniversary Reunion concert videos surface up on Youtube

Hey, i just called the Kingsmen office and ordered the 2 new DVDs and matching CD's. They are called "I'll Not Turn Back" and "Honor the Heritage Volume 2". I sent Bryan an email asking about these and he said they were now available at the Kingsmen's table, or to call their office. So i did! lol
Then , the new Cd they are finishing up right now will be for sale in April!
P.S. the nice lady that took my order on the phone was Ray's wife. She was very nice and friendly!

I assume they are trying out various ones from names that are passed to them. I didn't wanna make a big to do on the board or anything, but i had the opportunity to audition not too long ago. It was an awesome experience.

That is awesome! So did it go well? I'm curious.......what did you have to do in a "kingsmen" audition.
I too am going to get the dvd and cd. They sound awesome!

Sorry for my delayed response...i'm on a work trip.
The audition was fun yet of course nerve wracking. I've looked up to the kingsmen for a while, so sitting there while people you admire are watching you is a little intimidating to say the least.
I guess it went well, like i said, i was a little nervous, but all the guys were very friendly and down to earth. The piano wasn't what i would have desired to do an audition, but they couldn't help that haha. Ray asked me to play I'll fly away...then i played something else. Then Ray started singing "how great thou art" and i played along. Ray said that they are taking their time and I was one of the first to audition. No matter what the outcome...its something i'll never forget!

From talking to David, I believe the lineup is Bryan, Phillip, Ray, Harold, Brandon, Nick, and Grant
