I can understand that. I had to be very creative with my finances to be able to afford it.

I won't ask any questions........

Don't worry. Nothing illegal was done!

Glad to hear it!!!! It's a good story though, "you wouldn't believe what I did to get here...."

Well, my kids are going to school without shoes now!

I always did that. Shoes were for store and church and stuff.

But I was homeschooled.

(Maybe I didn't make that clear enough in my last post.)

I think all the Roger Bennett threads have been deleted. I betcha that's why my post count went down so severely.

True, but we in Kentucky have that reputation of not wearing shoes. The old joke is that the reason there is always a backup going across the bridges from Cincinnati into Kentucky is that all of us Kentuckians have to stop on the bridge and take our shoes off.

I've been on those bridges and have yet to see that in the cars around me.

Now Daniel, I don't think they are going to raise their feet up high enough for you to see them doing that.

But it would be kind of obvious if the drivers aren't at the wheel, and are bending over and doing something.

That's because he was at our house where shoes are outlawed.

I was born in KY so my siblings say that's why I act the way I do. I'm really not sure they should blame KY for that but it's nice to have something to blame.

That's funny. I didn't realize shoelessness was associated with homeschooling but I guess I was too sheltered to be aware of that.

Homeschoolers are tolerant of non-homeschoolers' habits.

The joke was based on the discussion over the last page or two of this thread--if you go back and read them, the context will be a little more clear.

(If going to school means going to the living room, who needs to put shoes on for that? )

My son just told me that L5's new DVD Live At The White House is scheduled to be released next Thursday. I'll get my copy when I go to their Celebration weekend.

No. It is not a joke. Their new DVD is called Live At The White House - the White House Theater in Branson, Missouri!

Scott Fowler mentioned it at the last concert I went to on April 4th.

He was! He waited a minute before he clarified that it was the White House Theater and not the White House in DC!

I'm sure he'll still be doing it when we see him at Celebration weekend, huh, Jeff?
