I hope you guys have fun this weekend...and keep us posted. One thing I'd like for you to tell us...tell us if they shoot a video. I hope they will shoot a video with new songs from the new project. I noticed on the NQC website that L5 and The Booth Bros are doing a Sunday night concert together before NQC kicks off on Monday...wouldn't that be a FUN video!

The Sunday night concert at NQC was a riot last year with The Booth Brothers and Legacy 5. I'm sure it will be the same this year. Never can tell what Michael and Scott are gonna do.

ORIGINAL: Jeff_from_Kentucky Well, we're packed and ready to go. In just about 11 hours (7:ooam EDT) my son and I will be leaving for Nashville! I know that is a bit early considering it takes less than five hours to drive from here to Nashville but I want to avoid the problems that we ran into last September: Dead stop on I-65 southbound for an hour and a half due to an accident, one hour waiting in line to get into the parking lot, and one hour waiting in line to check in. I have my handy-dandy road atlas with me so that if there are any accidents I can get around them, we should get there long before the parking lots fill up, and we can always look around the place for a couple of hours until check-in time! Oh, and I have 10 rolls of film just aching to be used this weekend! I can't wait to meet you and your son, Jeff. Got your PM with your telephone number. I'll find you tonight!

Friday night the Voices of Lee started the program, and you will not find a more talented group of young people. They are absolutely fantastic and most, not all, of the music was a capella. They sang 5-6 songs and then the Pfeifers had a set. I normally am not a huge fan of the Pfeifers, but this time I enjoyed everything they did. (Dinana---I forgot my earplugs (they were in the room) and John played the trumpet standing at my feet!!!!!! Had to put my finger in my ear!!) They gave quite a bit of testimony and allowed us to get to know them a little better. They have a pianist, Justin Hill, that also sings with them. Very, very good set. Next up was Bob Stromberg, and we were rolling in the aisles as his part of the program continued. He used Ken Davis for some of his act. Very, very funny! If you ever get a chance to see him, DO IT! Then Legacy Five took the stage and sang for us. It is very clear that they love singing to this big "fan" audience (my estimate is that there are 2,000-3,000 people here). Everyone here LOVES Legacy Five and the guys can just let their hair down and sing. And they did! Excellent set! I can't tell you the names of all they sang, because I have gotten behind and didn't have their most recent stuff (but I've got it now!!!). They sang several songs off of Know So Salvation, their Christmas CD (which is Scott's all-time favorite CD), and off their newest one, God's Been Good. Tim Partin is fantastic and I bought his newest CD, So Happy! AND..... we got to meet Jeff_From_Kentucky and his son, Jeff. Very nice! We've all got good seats and agreed that we are really enjoying this weekend! Edit: Scott confirmed on Sunday morning that there were 2,000 in attendance! That's a whole bunch of people!!!

Saturday morning came really fast! I am normally one that cannot sleep past 4-5am, but I had to drag myself out of bed at 8:30am! But if was well worth it! We welcomed back the Voices of Lee. I am just amazed every time I see them. They are perfection and they sing with such enthusiasm and such joy! Then Mike Lewis, a painter, painted a picture of Jesus while music was playing. He uses a combination of various sizes of paint brushes and his hands! He started off by writing ALL MY SIN in large letters across the top of a very large canvas ( 4' x 5' would be my quess). In the beginning stages the painting looked like a mess, but by the end you could see the beaten, bloody face of Jesus with a "suggestion" of the crown of thorns (actually dripping blood marks where the crown would have been). When he finished, ALL MY SIN was completely covered! And that's really the way it is, isn't it? Jesus completely covers our sin! Very moving! Now, if that wasn't enough, next up was Dr. Charles Stanley. He delivered a sermon on why we should be of good courage in a bad world situation! Excellent, excellent, excellent! Next up was Dennis Wilson, who is evidently a Christian country music artist that has a current song, Castles in the Sand, that is on the top of the charts. It's a story of how a soldier is serving in the Iraq war so that his little girl will be safe to build castles in the sand. Very moving song. He also sang 3-4 more songs that were very moving. Legacy Five sang some more for us. They are very relaxed during these Celebration weekend things, so they kid around with each other even more than usual. Very nice. Col. Oliver North spoke at the end of our morning session. It is so wonderful to hear a Christian man of his status boldly speak about his faith and about how much prayer means to him and to all our men and women serving in the Armed Forces. I'm so glad he was able to be with us today. I'm gonna take a nap now to get ready for tonight. You know, it takes a LOT OF ENERGY to be able to accept and process this many blessings at a time!!!!

Well, I have some good and not so good news to report. I'll start with the not so good first. I got a call from home about a situation that needed my immediate attention, so my son and I had to leave Nashville this afternoon. No, we did not have to leave for stalking Frank Seamans! We're at home now so that means we missed the evening concert tonight and won't be there tomorrow. I missed Greater Vision and Janet Paschal! On the plus side, the situation at home has been taken care of and everything and everyone is fine. Now for the good news! The first bit of good news is specifically for Tina. L5 has a new compilation CD called "A Tribute To Roger." It has 16 previously released L5 songs featuring Roger on vocals. I know you will love it, Tina! My son and I did get to meet Donna and her husband. They are both wonderful people and they had the best seats in the house! She's the first person from the forums that I have had the privilege of meeting in person (Not counting Gerald Wolfe, Scott Fowler, and other artists). I really can't add anything to Donna's reports about the concerts. She covered everything pretty well. Dee Ann said to give everyone a hug but that was posted after I left for Nashville yesterday so I didn't see it. However, Tim Parton came out from behind the table when he saw us yesterday afternoon and gave me a hug just like an old friend! That is what I love about these guys. We're not fans to them, we're friends! Scott Fowler's little boys are getting big! And, everytime I saw them running around, they were smiling! He has a couple of happy kids! Oh, and Gary's last name is Buckner and he is a super nice guy! The bad part is, he said the guys were not going to let him sing this weekend!
