I wanted to buy an MTT CD at the bookstore yesterday, but I thought the one you all were recommending was Journey Thus Far, which they did not have. They had one with "Time" in the title, dated 2005. Should I wait for the new one. I have never heard them.

ORIGINAL: MTTKingsmenfan WEll I am going to get it the day it comes out... I can't wait. Daniel how many songs did they sing from there new CD?????. Were they good??? One, and it was excellent. People say they are waiting for them to come out with material worthy of their vocal abilities...wait no longer. (No longer than another month, anyhow.)

Thanks Daniel. I made a comment at the blog. It looks like they will be in concert close to me on 3/16/07. Hope to go. Maybe I will wait until then to get their product. The new one will be out and they will probably have a blue light special.

ORIGINAL: danielmount .....did the title song of their new recording, "Once Upon a Cross." That song is good. They won't be back down this way til mid March, it looks like. I hope I don't have to wait that long to hear it. I suppose if all else fails I'll order it off the website. Mark told me he expected it to be released in Feb. Feb. 20, to be exact. Very interesting, since they'll be on a Cruise til the 24th

Dustin Sweatman gets better with each group. Saw him with his family (Gerald Sweatman) and then with Dixie Melody Boys and hope to see him with Mark and Eric soon. Dustin is from Cumming, Georgia.

I ordered the Mark Trammell Trio CD from christianbook.com (since they had it for $10). It came in today. Wow! I haven't collected my thoughts enough to put together a review. I'll probably do a review in a few days. But I can say this much: This is the best CD that the Mark Trammell Trio has ever released. They've taken a step up with every album they have released since Something Good. Here's what I mean: Beside Still Waters was better than Something Good. This Time was better than Beside Still Waters. Journey Thus Far was better than This Time. Once Upon a Cross is better than Journey Thus Far. There are quite a few good songs, both uptempo songs and midtempo ballads. But right now, the song "Once Upon a Cross" has jumped out as one of the best songs I've heard in a long time. In fact, I was repeating it so often that at one point I thought that I might not end up getting to the next song tonight! Has anyone else heard this album yet? MTTfan, where are you?
