Are you talking about "The Ride" or the new 50-year anniversary one? I've got "the Ride" and I like it!

Dinana and I went to a "concert" last night in Atlanta. It was part of a Music Minister symposium sponsored by a local music warehouse. Mike Speck and his Trio presented "The Redeemed" musical and Dinana's choir sang with them. And, since I'm kinda attached to Dinana, they let me sing, too. It is a wonderful musical and we had a teriffic time. The Speck Trio was marvelous. So professional. So GOOD! Loved it!

BTW, Mike Speck mentioned that Jay Parrack was in attendance last night. We didn't see him, but the lights were so bright I couldn't see much out in the audience!

We are going to Gainesville, GA this Saturday to see Gold City, Kingsmen and Kingdom Heirs, anyone else going?

That is so not fair. If we get 6 concerts a year, we are lucky. I can't go on Sunday nights because I get paid to go to church. [:D] So, I can only get to weeknight concerts, which are few and far between (maybe 3-4 per year). In the last 2 years, I have seen Palmetto State, Perry's, L5, GV, and Booth Brothers. All were great. Last month, GCQ came through and did a love offering fly-by, and I missed it. I was sick about it.

Maybe I should listen to MRS. Z and move to east TN.

I was planning to see Gold City and the Diplomats on February 8...

A new concert has just been booked for the same night....
Greater Vision......at FBC Woodstock.....about 6 miles from my house....sheeesh

Those are both too far for me on a Thursday night but the good news is I see Gold City this weekend and I see Greater Vision 2/17 the night before we leave for FL and to head out on our cruise!

I think the FBC Woodstock thing is part of a conference or something because Mike Speck is to be there on Thursday and Friday (my church choir was going to be there with Mike Speck on Friday but it didn't work out) and other artists are supposed to be there on Friday night as well. I don't believe this will be a full concert but will probably be just a few songs by each group, perhaps between preachers or something. You could check with the church or Greater Vision if you want more info. I may very well go see Gold City & The Diplomats that night.

We really had planned to go to this singing Dee, but I changed "our" minds a couple of days ago. We will, however see the Kingsmen on Sunday. They will be in "yelling" distance to our home! Then we'll see Triumphant on Thursday night!!! And I'll have to check my schedule to see who is next in line for us! LOL

Both Triumphant and the Perrys are within driving distance that Thursday night but I'll have to see what my work schedule holds!

Thanks guys for some reason I couldn't get their website to pull up and last night the guys were "worthless" on the subject - Phillip said in Gaffney, Jeremy in Spartanburg, Ray said Greer, they said Seneca Baptist, Phillip said Celia (close) and Jeremy had no idea!!!

Greater Vision will be here in Talladega, AL on Friday Jan 26, 07, at the
Ritz Theater downtown on the square. Gerald and I go back a long way,so when they are close we always try to go and see them. Hope to see all of you here Friday evening.

I do hope the bus driver knows where they are to be at. If not, they could be in big trouble when they start trying to figure out where and when to go. As good as the singers are, if they did not have a good bus driver to get them there, they just might get to the wrong place more often. I have said many times that the people behind the scenes are just as important as the one we see on a day to day basis.

It was a great weekend. The Mark Trammell Trio was close enough for me to go on Friday and this afternoon. They were GREAT (as always). On Friday Night they were with Karen Peck & New River. To be honest this was the first time I have heard New River in a full concert. They were very, very good.

Steve Hurst was along this weekend, so that was an extra treat.

LOL....the K-Men did show up in Gaffney tonight and it was Awesome , as usual. I have pix posted on my Message Board, didn't know if I could put them on here or not.
So glad DeeAnn & her daughter, Alicia, showed up. It was sure good to see them again!!!
Even though it was raining bad, the crowd was GREAT!
