ORIGINAL: Dinana Great write-up, Donna Lou! We all enjoyed the concert so much. Everyone that was there came because they love Jason and wanted to wish him well on this new leg of his journey. I was really surprised the program was as long as it was without an intermission at all. I had carried over 7 Gigabytes of memory cards to capture videos of the event (my digital camera is a real memory hog in video mode) but it wasn't enough! I will be working on editing and getting permission to post a lot of the video, but for now, I hope you'll enjoy this one with Jacob Kitson. Little Is Much Well, I did a remarkable job of "keeping it together" last night, but watching the video has me boo-hooing a LOT more than I did last night. It is just so sweet to see Ja hugging---and effectively giving his blessing---to Jacob.

Nope, did not use a single tissue! I went to celebrate Jason's time with GV...and I managed to do just that! Don't know about TP. The TV in our living room has bitten the dust and I'm enjoying the quiet today!

I've been boo-hooing all morning as I've been watching the videos! I was worried about Donna last night, too, because on the way up she mentioned that she didn't have tissues and I told her not to worry because I brought exras. Then we didn't end up sitting together!

Well, I too shed tears last night and while reading Donna's WONDERFUL post, tears flowed again. It was a wonderful night. And I am so glad Donna did her write up. I can't do things like that. By the way, it was Jason that called Mr. Klaudt "grandpa". I had the chance to talk with "Clout" for a few minutes prior to concert. Enjoyed that very much. Thanks Mr. K.

Thanks, Santa. I'm glad you remembered who talked about Mr. K. So many things happened last night that it's hard to remember everything! I DO remember how much I enjoyed it, though!

Just got in from hearing the Galloways. It was a great evening. They sang about an hour took offering and came back to do closing, after invitation and prayer, Assistant Pastor called them back to sing more. Saw Earl look at his watch. They came back and sang a couple of more. They sang a lot of old Galloway Songs and some new songs. They sang several songs they do under the bridge in Nashville. Earl was so delighted that they are going to Detroit with the Bridge Ministry. He said next year they were cutting back on their travel dates. They are going to do some dates with Candy Christmas promoting the Bridge Ministry. If you don't know what the Bridge Ministry, they minister to the homeless under the Jefferson Street Bridge in Nashville. They meet every Tuesday night, feed and cloth the homeless. They have a service there singing and ministering to them.

Saw The Quicks tonight. They were good. Tim has a wierd sense of humor which really appeals to me and their material from their newest CD mixes in some songs with a big band sound to them and was very interesting. I wouldn't have thought of mixing Big band with southern Gospel but they made it work.

I attended the Greenes Gospel Singing Jubilee on Saturday 08/02/08. The new outdoor setting is nice but because of the heat they didn't begin the program until 5pm. It was suppose to start at 12pm (I got there by 11:15am). So I had a few hours to kill. Here are some highlights in order of appearance. *Dixie Echoes - This was the first night they had their new CD for sale so they decided to sing all of the songs from the CD for their first set. The Dixie Echoes are the best at the two mic thing. A great start to the evening. The highlight of their set had to be their cover of "How Big Is God". Pat Barker did an outstanding job on this song. *Perrys - They thrilled the crowd with their signature songs. From "I Know It Was The Blood" to "He Will Hide Me" all the way to the closing "I Wish I Could've Been There", the crowd seemed to enjoy every minute. They also used their time to sing (3) Happy Goodman covers. I will be seeing the Perrys again next Saturday and look forward to them having a bit more time. *Freemans - Some of the greatest people in Southern Gospel. I have known this group since 1989 and always enjoy catching up with them. They also gave the crowd their signature songs. Highlights were "He Chose Me", "He'd Still Been God", "He'd Have To Walk Through The Blood", "Sea Walker", "Children Of The Dust" and a song I hadn't heard in a couple of years "Going Back. Great set! *Greenes - The host group came out to the delight of the crowd. They suffered through sound problems and decided to scale back to just piano and singing. They pulled if off nicely. The highlight was their cover of "I Can't Even Walk" with just piano. The fans in attendance loved their host group. *Triumphant Quartet - They closed the night with a powerhouse performance. They had the crowd on their feet several times. The biggest response by the crowd all night came with Triumphant's performance of "Old White Flag". Folks love this song. The set couldn't have ended any better than with their performance of "He Is". A great night. Three of these artists I will have the chance to see again over the course of the next three weeks. The Perrys on 08/16 and Dixie Echoes and Triumphant together on 08/23.

Friday 01 August Michael Combs wonderful crowd 800+ SRO awesome response to altar call 45 repented & accepted Jesus as Lord & Saviour !!!! As usual, of the probably 5 or 6 times I've attended one of his concerts "Drinking From My Saucer ('Cause My Cup Has Overflowed)" is quite possibly my favorite since it's so true for all of us that our Lord Blesses us beyond measure and we certainly reap a thousand times better than we could ever sow.

It was a festive occasion and a fun time although at times our hearts were almost too full to contain it. Had a special time with Jason, Missy and her parents John and Sandy. Jason will be missed. Enjoyed meeting some new faces and also the conversations with many. God be with you till we meet again. Melvin Klaudt

Thanks Diana for the video! What an emotion filled few minutes! I'm sitting here crying just wishing things could stay the same while also changing so Jason can fulfill God's will in his life. That's not how life works so we wish Jason & Missy the best and look forward to Greater Vision's next chapter with Jacob! Thanks so much for sharing these special moments with all of us! I knew Gerald would make it a special evening! Also, to sit here and think about what was running through Rodney's mind as Jason sang "You Can". Wouldn't that be neat to be the writer of this song as you see it richly minister to so many people plus the special guy you wrote it for? What a neat blessing! I just love Greater Vision and their ministry! Keep up the good work guys!

Saturday night we went to the Mull's Singing Convention concert at New Hope Church (the old Lee Geenwood Theater). We were hung up in traffic and missed the first half of the Crist Family, which was sad since I like to hear them. With seven people on stage I always wonder how they will make enough money to support them all, but I want them to succeed. The Talley Trio followed. I have seen them many times, but I enjoyed this appearance as well as any. Lauren has developed into an outstanding MC as well as a fine singer. The song selection and pacing was excellent. Michael Combs was up next and he was really "on" tonight. This was clearly a Michael Combs crowd (as is usual when he appears in ET) and he really got things moving. He mixed just the right amount of preaching with some of his signature songs and the crowd was enthusiastic and didn't want it to end. With the possible exception of Jessy Dixon, no one can get a crowd going like Michael. It was a hard act to follow, but Gold City did a fine job. They wisely opened with a series of fast paced songs. It was a little disconcerting a at first, at least for me. I have seen Gold City many times, but had never seen this particular group. With the all new group, the open collars, and the obvious Signature Sound influence, this is not your Daddy's Gold City. The more I heard them, the more I liked them, and I believe the crowd felt the same. A very enjoyable concert.

We saw Gold City for the first time tonight! They were really good and they are a great bunch of guys. The only one we didn't get to meet was Daniel but we did get to talk with all of the others. I'm too tired to go into all of the details of the concert (I've been up for 20 hours) but I have to say the highlight was Bruce singing Midnight Cry! That was very, very good! Tomorrow night we get to see the Kingsmen!
