It's acceptable to use the two-letter abbreviations for the province, but we're supposed to write or type "Canada" underneath. (I'm speaking from first-hand experience at work.)

I have read your posts about your jail ministry and the one thing that jumps out at me is that the Lord has decided that you are ready for this and your attitude and obedience and trusting in Him are confirming that.

I never tire of hearing the prison ministry stories. In fact I look forward to them because I know that they are times when you're being stretched and challenged, and that Father is speaking to His kids, whether or not they know Him yet or not. He uses you mightily, Rach. In the times when you can feel it, and the times when you can't.
Visiting that woman was hard, but God can still use you to plant seeds in her. Who knows? One day she may be your sister in Christ. You may lead her to the Lord. You may plant the seed and somebody else water it. Whether or not she did the crime, God believes you are able to minister to her, and HE, of course, is more than able. Go along for the ride and see how He does it and learn. I think He may be drawing you closer to Him with this one. Taking you to a deeper spiritual level in Him. Getting you to know even more, the Father's heart.
I don't know why I'm getting this, but the phrase, "What would Jesus do?" keeps coming to mind. If it's helpful to you, then use it. If not, don't.
Rach, I'm so proud of you. You go out on the limbs that God wants you to, and you bless so many people. People that society shuns, the sometimes misfits, those who are lonely and in need of compassion. Where some would be angry at them, you cry with them and see the love that the Father has for them. And that's just those in jail. I'm sure you bring a ray of light into these women's lives. I know that that is God light. You bring hope and encouragement and love and peace. I'm sure they are grateful for your presence and the Presence that you bring with you when you go to see them. Well done, Rach. They see Jesus in you.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!!
I'm sooo excited for tomorrow! I love Thanksgiving more than Christmas.... there are no presents or expectations to mess up the season.... just some good eats... good family time... a wonderful nap.... I love it!!!!
This year.... I am making the turkey, the green bean side dish thingy, and a cranberry jello salad... if I can find the recipe....
I have to laugh... last year I spent Thanksgiving with another family... and I brought yummy cranberry jello salad.... and they hated it!! lol!! Well... my family loves cranberries... so all is well and as it should be!
The family list includes: youngest 2 daughters (oldest is going to IL with her dad), my sister, my aunt, mom and dad, and 2 guests....
I haven't had a 'sister' talk with my younger sister in a long time.... my favorite thing to do is take a 'nap' with her after the meal... we lay in my mom and dad's big bed and talk about boys for hours!!! lol!!!
And lets not forget our family tradition of pie and coffee for breakfast and the traditional movie in the evening!
okay... enough of us....
What about you guys???
Any family traditions???
