Wood floors USED to be hard to take care of--50 years ago. They're not anymore. The finishes they use (and you can ask if they do and if they don't ask that they do) are easy care, such as urethane. We clean our wood floors exactly the same as if they were vinyl. As for being more slippery than vinyl, NO! I think the woman who fell was looking for something to blame. I've walked on LOTS of wood floors in stocking feet and never was I in danger of slipping and falling. I think it's a ridiculous claim. I think your parents are being controlling and manipulative, Mo. They want to tell you, their grown daughter and son-in-law, what to put on your floors and if they don't get their way they won't come to visit? Give me a BREAK! That's simply childish and shouldn't be given in to. I sure wouldn't want to have cortisone shots, though I think I've been offered them (by a doctor who didn't tell me WHAT the shots were about). I'll be waiting to see if these help you. And that's sure strange about your dream. Are you worried? {{{{{{{{{MO}}}}}}}}

Thanks for the reply,Maggie. You have told me often enought what my parenets are doing. And I dfinally see the light! Wooooooooohooooooooooo! WOOD floors ALL over the downstairs is what we will get then. Alot of pressure off my mind. Now I think I will go back to napping. I just woke up from the nap to go to the bathroom. And about the dream, it sure was strange. I talked to Bo after I got the shots finished and every thing is okay. Why I did have that dream I have no idea. Made me say a quick prayer though! I'm hoping the shots will work Maggie. I was told it my take up to 2 weeks to notice any difference. And if the shots really work well I sure hope you consider getting them if you are in a lot of paon. Well now back to finishing my nap!

You're too funny Mo. I think you're making the right choice with your floors. You're adding value to your home and you're going to love how it looks. I was always surprised at how good the floors looked when we got done with a job. And we did a lot of jobs where we replaced carpet with wood. Always looked better in the end. I wish my floors could have been salvaged. There were beautiful wood floors in these apartments, but someone who lived here before us had cats or dogs that didn't always get out in time. There are stains that won't come out, and they would have had to replace the entire living/dining room.

UGH to thoughtless apartment dwellers and pet owners! What a waste! That's when the damage deposit should be kept back but of course it wouldn't have been enough to replace the floor. :(

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo every one! I am feeling soooooooooooo good today! The pain that I have been putting up with in my back is almost entirely gone! Woooooooooohoooooooooooooooooo! Which means I will probably have to have at least one more treatment, but thats okay! As long as the pain is gone! I've been told that I am standing straighter than I used too. I guess with the pain I was having I was not able to stand up that well. The need for over the counter pain medicine I don't need any more! Well maybe for the occasional headache or some thing like that. I'm still amaszd that I have hardly no pain! Yea, Bill. Thats why I don't want any carpeting. Because of the smells that get traped in them. They never go away in carpeting. Hey, Bill! You wanna come over and help lay the wood flooring down!?!!??! Hellooooooooo Maggie! I entirely agree with you.

Hellooooooooooooooooooooo every one! Thanks Trish! I went to a new heart Doctor this Tuesday. I really like her and i'm gonna keep her! She gave me a small physical there in the room. Then she looked at all my medical history and listened really well. she listened so well that she ordered me to have 3 tests done! One of the tests was a blood test, and the other one was a breathing treatment. Today I took the breathing treatment test. We found out some intersting resuts with that test! The results made me happy so I will post them for you all to read. And even if the results ahd not made me happy I still would have posted them for you to read! I just got back from having the breathing treatment done. Well Dad took me out to lunch after the treatment was over. :D The breathing treatment was not as bad as what I thought it would be. Having the treatment done did clarify a few things for us. The person who did it for us was able to read the results and told us. Number 1. We now know that it is NOT the heart that is causing the problems with the breathing. Number 2. We now know that I have trouble getting enough oxygen in my lungs. That is what is causing me to get tired all the time. When I am sitting down and not moving around the oxygen is stableized. As soon as I start getting up and doing things, the oxygen level drops, causing me to get tired and out of breath. They measure the amount of oxygen with numbers starting at 74 to 150 (I think). I am at the 74 point mark. When I do things however, that number drops below 74. I even had more blood taken from me today to do another oxygen level test on it and it showed the same results. As to how that can be treated we have no idea. We will have to wait till the heart Doctress (since she is a female) call to let us know what she has planned to try on me, if anything. A couple of things were sugested one was an inhaler and the other one might be using oxygen. We won't till next Tuesday when the I get the call from the Doctor. I am sooooooooooooooo excited as to find out exactly what is wrong with me! And that it is not "all in my head". Thanks for the prayers!

Hellooooooooooo Mo! More good news! You're on a roll!! Nothing beats having a doctor you're comfortable with. Did the breathing dude have any ideas as to what the problem may be? Are they talking emphysema or anything like that? Or are there more tests to come?

Hellooooooooooooooooo every one! Hello Marsha! Hello Bill! Hello Trish! Hello Maggie! Well we did not get our floor done last weekend. I was very disappointed ofcourse. We won't get the floors doen till the second week of September. I'm positive this time that the floors will get done! They won't do it next week end because the person who will be doing the floor all ready made plans, then the holiday weekend comes. So I am looking forward to it one more time. It makes me not wanna do any sweepeing or cleaning of the floors that we have now but I guess I better do it. Bo and I will be going camping with the church this weekend. We will be back Sunday afternoon. Then the next weekend, the holiday weekend, we will be going camping again but for a longer period of time! Can hardly wait. Actually the weather has been to hot to go camping this year! I have not heard about the test results yet. I should get a phone call some time today about them. Now I feel no guilt when I have to lay down to rest because I know the reason why I have to! It makes it easier for mt to take unexpected naps! Well thats about all I need to get busy cleaning. Thanks for the prayers!

Hi Mo! So sorry you didn't get the floors done as expected, but at least they are going to get done. And now you have longer to enjoy the anticipation . . . Anticipation -- Anticipa-a-a-a-tion . . is making me wait . . . . . . . what??? . . you didn't wanna hear that?? Hope the weather is nice for your camping trips . . it's way too hot for that here. You should never have felt guilty for lying down when you were tired or hurting, Mo . . . how many times have I told you that??! . . . most of the time, our body knows when it needs rest -- we need to listen more often, I'm thinking.

Hellooooooo every one! Thanks Leah. Yea, I know you told me many times, but I still felt guilty. In a way I still kinda feel guilty but not enough not to take that nap when I need it! No Trish. I have not heard anything about the test results. I guess no news is good news. I found out from my Dad that my new heart Doctor only has office hours on Tuesdy and Thursday's, So maybe I will find out tomorrow morning. I'm praying. The weather here today and tomorrow is gonna be HOT. In the 90's. This morning we had a Thunderstorm come in right before we had to leave to take Bo to the train station. The storm got done just in time! If i'm hearing right the weather will be a little more bearable this weekend. Jus tin time for the camping. I had told Bo that if this heat does not break up I may not be able to go camping but then I heaed the good news about it turning cooler. Well at least cool enough to be bearable. When I hear anything about the test results I will post. But it may not be till tomorrow. Thanks for the prayers!

Helloooooooooooooooooooooo every one! I finally called my heart doctor. She was not in today but they were able to give me the results. They only had my blood work that came in so they gave me that. So here is what they found.... I am not anemic electrolytes are normal Kidney functions are normal Thyroids are normal And I have had no heart failure (I know, strange. But that was included in the test.) So In other words I am normal! Wooooooooohoooooooooo! No smart remarks from the funny farm! The office has not gotten my breathing test results. So we are still waiting on that. Maybe those will come next week. And we are still waiting on if there is anything that can be done to boost my breathing level. This weekend we were gonna go camping with the church but that has been cancelled. We have been getting ALOT of rain. Infact Bo and I were on our way home (from picking him up) and the rain just came down. Forcefully too, but by Gods grace we made it home safe and sound. There has been alot of flooding going on too. So I am glad that we are able to stay put and be safe and dry. Well thats all for now. Thanks for the prayers.
