I was looking online earlier to find a site to basically help me track my weight, my goals, my food, etc and I found one that I like so far. Here it is in case anyone else wants to give it a try.

Meghan, I joined that site too but haven't had the time to really get into it. So far today I have eaten: Breakfast: slice of toast with pnut butter and a banana Lunch: Chicken salad sandwich w/light mayo, salsa (homemade) with 10 chips and now I am forcing down a yogart. Dinner: we are going out to Sweet Tomatoes (I just have to make good choices); if I feel better. I woke up feeling awful but today was my first day back to work; so I drug myself out of bed and went in. Thank goodness I work part-time and could come home. My stomach is a mess, my head is pounding and I am all achy (sp). I am going to take a nap; pray that I will feel better.

I've been reading some of the posts and I decided to jump into the boat with you gals. I'm in the process of losing weight, having lost about 64 lbs so far this past year. I've been doing this by eating less carbs and more protein, eating more veggies, drinking more water and substituting sugar-free foods for regular ones. Since I've hurt my foot this past year, my exercise options have been limited, but I try to do some anyway. I need to work on this area more when my foot heals. I know how hard it is to stick to a healthy eating plan. Somedays I just pig out on carbs because I'm depressed and sometimes I feel deprived. Just today, I had cereal, 2 slices of pizza and Russell Stover (tm) sugar-free chocolate candy balls for a total of over 80 grams of carbs! Usually, I try to eat 80 to 100 grams of carbs per day, so I need to watch it for the rest of the day. I've not been very good at drinking water the last couple days either. Anyway, I'm here to offer my support. I think we all need prayer to make it in our weight loss efforts.

Hi Heidi, My name is Barb and I have lost a hundred pounds this year '06. As I read your message I really heard what you had to say. I think that I am a pretty woman now. But it took God really working in my life to beleive that. I have been heavy my entire life. From the time I was a child until now I have been a big girl. I heard so many times "You would be so beatifu if you lost weight" God has really changed my thinking in this. When I get up in the morning I tell myself that I beautiful because I was made in his image. I am desireable because I was created to have relationship with Him. I am a princess because I am a daughter of the King. I tell myself that because they are the truth. I have lost the weight that I have because I did have surgery. I had rouxny gastric bypass on July 31 of last year. I also have a gym membership and to tell the truth December was very bad, I think that I made it to the gym 4 times during the month. I have started out January better. I have already been once this month and plan on going tonight. I know that this is hard and weight has such a role in our lives. But God is greater than the scale and the number on our clothes. He can be there for us in everything. Barb quote:
ORIGINAL: drumplayersmom Hi, My name is Heidi and I would like to try and join you all. I need to lose probably 100#'s It is really too much to think about..I have been in quite a funk lately having a hard time shaking it. I have felt so desperate and ugly that I have actually been thinking of some type of surgery. But I am honestly kinda scared of that option.. I have been overweight all my life I am 38yoa...I have lost and gained hundreds of pounds during that time...I have dissappointed myself and my family with constant failure in this area of my life...I am tired and wish I would wake up the perfect size satisfied with myself and my life.but sadly that will probably not happen. My goal is to change my habits. I need something I can live with...nothing fade been there done that.. I do have a gym membership and plan on starting again next week... I am going to have a goal of adding more raw fruits and vegetables and cut out sweets...I am diebetic and controlling it with diet ok right now...that tends to be up and down...I tend to crave sweets and salty junk food... I also really like potatoes and pasta...I will also try to cut them down... My 14yoa son also has my tendencies and we have decided to work together on our eating habits... I certainly don't want him to end up like me in 20 years... So here goes... today is a new day... Lord help us all as we strive to be healthy for you... Heidi

For those of you that don't like water...do you like lemon? LOL I was going to suggest that too! Lime also works well. Any kind of citrus helps without adding calories. Traci

I am proud of myself because even though I feel really yucky, I did a 15 minutes aerobics step video. I was so excited because someone on Freecycle gave me a step, so I had to use it! I will walk on the treadmill tomorrow 30 and do the video plus the strength one. That will be an hour; then I will have to jump in a quick shower and get to work! Off to dinner trying to force myself to make a good choice at the salad/soup bar! Traci edited to remove word that had **'s

I wasn’t horribly bad over the weekend, but I certainly wasn’t good. Today I had Chocolate Slim Fast for breakfast and dinner. For dinner I had some crackers and cheese and a hamburger patty. I only had 32 ounces of water so far, so I need to get the rest of it down before bed, which should help me stay away from any more to eat tonight. Oh, I forgot I did have a handful of nuts when I got in from work.

We have gone out to eat so many times in the last few weeks I can't even count. It certainly doesn't help for weight loss to eat out so much. I also haven't been at work in two weeks, and that hurts too. Next week things will be more routine and I hope that helps me be more disciplined.

Today was NOT good on the "Loosing weight" plan. I worked out in the morning, YAY! I had Special K for breakfast along with a vitamin.... For lunch I hate a turkey sandwich on rye...And dinner---- dun, dun, dun, TACO BELL!!!!!!!!! What the heck was I thinking? I was doing so good! I have just been under so much stress lately and it was just convienant.. UGHHH I get so frustrated sometimes. Tomorrow is another day. And for everyone who was saying how they hate water, put lemon in it! I could never drink the amount of water I do without lemon...not only does it taste yummy, but it always wakes me up in the morning! Just try it out, it helped me a ton. Good luck for a healthy day tomorrow, ladies!
