Am I the only one who thinks it's high time that Clark got his super-breath? He really could have used it when stopping the flash flood from the broken dam. As it was, what happened to all the steam created by his heat vision? Steam is much greater in volume in water, and pretty deadly as well. If Clark had really vaporized all that water, it would have killed all the trees in the area, and likely burned the people he was trying to save as well! C'mon writers, I might "believe a man can fly" but I'm not going to buy that steam is harmless. See the trouble you got yourself into by not setting up Clark to freeze the flood with super-breath?

I was thinking the same thing. Those trees should have looked like broccoli that was boiled for about 30 minutes too long. Looks like you got the no-prize.

He kind of already has it. I remember him using it ONCE last season, can't remember when and where, but he did use it.

He developed a "cold" in episode two or three last year and developed super breath at that time. Watch the dvd from last year.

Yes, but he never got around to trying to control that power, nor did it chill anything. Shame on the writers for missing out on a better power to use due to lack of planning!

In all of comic-dom, I think there is only one character who is allowed to stay dead: Barry Allen.

*sigh* nevermind, no one is allowed to stay dead.... ever...

Especially not LANA. On Smallville.

Because the producers LLLLUVVEE her. You'd see Lois Lane, or Lex, or Jimmy die and stay dead before Lana. At least on Smallville.

Maybe even Clark.

A better question is how are writers going to conjure up a three month case of amnesia so she forgets Clark's secret for the nine millionth time.

Who knows? Maybe the writers will have Kara teach Kal-El that he has the power of super-hypnosis and he'll use that to make Lana forget. I remember that from my day of reading the comics. The only problem is that they keep shifting from how the comics played out to how they think they should have played out. Which as the producers will tell you, is how things really should be since they are so much smarter than the original comic writers. Yeah, right! Gimmie an everlovin' break!!

Yeah - plays into a lot of prime audience hormones and keeps the ratings up.

she's just such a ditz

Exactly. That adds to it.

Yeah, they add to it also.

At least the ditz is not blonde and the blonde is not a ditz.....

Yeah. Chloe is no ditz, and Lois is only a semi-ditz. Lana, on the other hand, is a ditz that the producers are in love with, so not only is she a ditz, but she also can do no wrong. I think the Smallville Bottomless, Deep Bitterness Society over on TelevisionWithoutPity BEGAN all because of Lana and the Lana-love.

Well, lets be honest all of them are semi-ditzy. How many times has Clark pulled some superhero feat, and they just shrug and say ho hum, it's a miracle we survived. Or Clark will be standing there talking to them, and then disappears, and they just shrug their shoulders and say "Oh, that Clark."

ROTL, too true.

Just saw on TV Guide's website (POSSIBLE SPOILER) that Clark receives a gift in the Oct. 25th episode, the clue is It's neither black nor white, but red all over. Hmmm.....maybe someone WILL start flying sooner than expected.

Probably another chunk of red kryptonite to make him "Bad Clark" again.

"Bad Clark" and Lana need to be permanently banished to the Phantom Zone.

Last night's episode was pretty good. Kara is awesome, and I like how she teased Clark about not being able to fly yet.

Lois finally got in at the Daily Planet. But is she pushing Chloe out? I don't like the new editor and how he seems to have something against Chloe. But I guess they are going to have to start phasing her out and pushing Lois.

Still no word on Lionel. Although according to spoilers he won't return until around episode five.

So, they just throw a Lana clone into the mix, huh? There was no mention anywhere last season about it, and I really don't understand why Lex would want a Lana clone. It's like the writers were reaching to find a reason for her DNA being at the scene, and said, wait, I know! Lex secretely had Lana cloned. That'll work, the reason? Eh. No one will care.

That Lana clone story was ridiculous. Although I never believed for a second that she had died in last year's finale.

I loved the mini-brawl between Clark and Kara, though. I expect we'll see the latter finally fly on the series' last episode; before then, however, I'd like to see more future superheroes (e.g. Green Arrow, Flash) on Smallville.
