ORIGINAL: hotsaucygma Hmm, haven't gotten around to this, but since I enjoyed reading about you all, maybe it's time for me to join in. [:D] I'm from Northern Minnesota, beautiful Lake Superior area. I've lurked and posted off and on since about 2001-2002, somewhere in there. I am 53, a recycled single (divorced 4 years ago), have two grown boys (young men actually, 30 and 28 yrs old) that are the light of my life- and one of them has given me two grandchildren that you just might hear me mention from time to time...[8|]. I like camping, flower gardning, cooking, bike riding, quilting and doing things (just about anything)with friends and family. Psst, PamelaSue, I think we might just be the same person... I work for the gov't too (really, I'm here to help you...), and I'm a HGTV junkie too- but I can't carry a tune, so maybe we aren't the same person after all - whew, that was a close one! [:D] Oh, wow, HSGMA, I almost missed that! Okay, let's examine the differences. I have no children, no grandkids (well, I guess that would be a given, although, wouldn't it be nice if you could have them first?) The other things you mentioned above - camping, gardening, cooking, nope, nope, nope. It all sounds quite exhausting to me! [:D] When you tell people you work for the government, do you ever follow up with "But don't hold that against me!"? LOL, no I usually follow up with the "... trust me, I'm here to help you... in triplicate..." [:D] Really, I sometimes wonder where all those "gov't workers" you hear about all the time are (sigh)!! Granted it is a huge bureaucracy and things go slowly sometimes, but most large corporations have many of the same problems... I have only worked for the Gov't for the last 14 years, before that I worked in a couple large businesses, it's not really that much different.
