Deal or No Deal: Thinks in stereotypes about most people.

No Deal. He needs to see the various facets of people - not think in black and white.

quote:

Sure; why not? -or- Well thanks, but no: Is hard of hearing and so unintentionally talks very loudly.

Sure, why not. Maybe he'll be able to keep my attention that way.

quote:

DOND: They only drive foreign cars. Will not even consider looking at an American made car.

Deal. I prefer foreign cars anyway. I'm open to American cars (love the Jeep Liberty), but if he doesn't like them, no biggie.

quote:

DOND: You are very proud to be american where they are always talking about how bad america is?

No Deal. Those types of people tend to complain about everything. (There I go stereotyping )

quote:

DOND: They were deeply in love with their last romance and seem to want to recreate that same EXACT thing with you.

No Deal. I am not that person and I'm never going to try to be.

DOND: Is the life of the party and loves to be around people 24/7 but you prefer quiet evenings at home.

Deal provided that he does not try to keep me from having a few quiet evenings at home (with him of course )

Yes or No: They talk with their mouth full...often.

No deal. Manners are important.

quote:

YES -or- NO: They absolutely do not believe in pre-nups, background checks, etc. Instead, they maintain a philosophy of taking enough time to truly and deeply get to know each other, and also a philosophy of "If you want to know something, ask ME; I'll tell you the truth on the matter."

This is very hard. While I am not finacially rich (yet) thee are some assets which I hold in reserve for the Girl (Like M's jewlery). I'd have to figure out how to protect the Girl before I could say deal.

quote:

Livable -or- No Way: You absolutely detest their favorite color.

Deal as long as she doesn't make me wear it.

quote:

DOND: They like ordering new things when they go out to eat, like strange, exotic, like quail or elk or octopus or other such off the beaten path foods.

Deal as long as she doesn't expect me to taste it.

I ahve a friend who islike that. Whenever we go out to eat he orders something different. and he never likes it. I almost always order the same thing but I always like it.

quote:

DOND: Owns tons of toys, but has no kidz.

While I don't know what a "kidz" is ( ) it's a deal as long as I get to play with their toys.

quote:

DOND: Is the life of the party and loves to be around people 24/7 but you prefer quiet evenings at home.

Deal as long as we stay home sometime. Perhaps we can entertain here?

quote:

Yea or Nay: You like to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, and they don't.

Are they a monk or something? Everyone enjoys the simple things sometimes.

DOND: they are very frugal, especially when it comes to clothes, refusing to throw something out as long as it is wearable.

As long as they don't then send it on to some missionary- deal... oh the stories Actually, I have a 'varied' wardrobe, but my faves don't look quite so new so no issues there!

Si or Non: They have an 'ecletic' mix of furniture that they have NO plans of parting with.

Si or No: He or she will not under any circumstances ride in a car, or bus, or train, or plane. Their idea of transportation is by foot or bicycle.

Since my family is spread out from North Carolina to Maine, that would present some difficulty. No deal.

Once we are married we'll either have to build a bigger house or sell off some stuff. I'm fully furnished and mostly new (High quaility solid wood type stuff. M had expensive tastes)

Even the Amish travel by buggy. No deal.

Um - hmmmm I suppose that would be okay - that would merely indicate that he

Nay. What's life without some simple pleasures?

Deal, as long as they're only frugal with their own clothes. They better not be frugal with mine.

Si. No problemo.

No. Walking or biking to see my parents in Virginia would take WAY too long.

DOND: They are willing to accommodate you in every conceivable way.

Hola. I don't expect him to exercise with me, but it would be fun if he would go mountain biking with me and my friends every once in a while.

DOND: Wears the exact same outfit to church every Sunday.

No deal though I wouldn't mind someone who walks or rides to work there are some situations where other transportation is just more realitistic

ABSOLUTE NO DEAL! I dated this girl right before I met Michele. It's very entertaining for about the first three days, after that it's a curse. I need someone who will be fiesty enough to argue with me.

No deal. While a little spontaneous discussion is OK constantly putting mouth in gear before engaging brain just causes too many problems

DOND. The flip side. They very carefully consider every word they speak, resulting in a very slow and measured communications style.

I am not not sure ... that kind of bothers me. I will have to think about that. Probably no deal.. In certain situations that is good - like in heated debate... but all the time???? What is up with that?

Depends on if we mean tactless, or simply honest. Sounds tactless, then a no-go.

Depends on if we mean tactful, or less than honest. Just because you speak slowly doesn't mean you are hiding something, it might just mean you are afraid to be too bold- if that changed the longer we knew each other- then deal. If not, lack of trust is the first sign of a BAD relationship.

The kitties, the fishies, the snowflakes, the nutcrackers, the stripes, the fruit, the froggies, my initials on the cuff, the bells on the cuff, or my plain white ones? (Yes I was kind enough to only mention a few ). Attentive is a Deal!

Double. Nothing much wrong with bowling - although darts is much better - and pizza is my favourite food goup. Elton John? Hmmm.

I know when to fold them and I know when to run. My brothers have very manly names. I couldn't marry a woman with a manly name.

On a similar note...

Dead or alive: he or she has the same name as your parent (of the same gender) or the same as a step parent.

One sister and I both have genderally semi-neutral names, and I could see a girl with my brother's name- it's a place name. So only would it be a no way if He had my other sister's 'girlie' name- and more because I know his parents hate him than anything else
