Moderator's note: this thread has administrative approval. [:D] Thank you Di and Fritz! [:)] quote:
DOND: Has to deal with the impending deaths of immediate family within the upcoming year. Death is a part of life . . . I would want to be there to provide prayer and emotional support. quote:
DOND: Someone who places God before you, in church every time the door is open. Deal on placing God before me, very most definitely. However, I don't necessarily think that is synonymous with being in church every time the door is open (nor do I think such behaivor is necessary; nor do I automatically consider this behaivor to necessarily reflect a deep Spiritual life and relationship with Our Lord). quote:
DOND: They work as a forums administrator and somehow manage to irritate 1/2 of the population no matter what they do LOL. Deal. Again, uplifting him in prayer and providing emotional support would be one way I could be there for him. quote:
DOND: Did not want biological children. It's a moot point with me at this point in my life, so my answer would be N/A. quote:
DOND: Hates to do laundry. No biggie; I don't hate it. I could do the laundry and he could put fresh sheets on the bed (which I DO hate to do . . . I love fresh sheets; just hate putting them on the bed). quote:
DOND: Wanted to adopt children. I would consider it. quote:
Purchase or Keep Lookin'?: Only wants to live in one geographic region. I would want to discuss his reasonings and his desires in this regard. quote:
DOND: He/She is healthy, but has a family gene that means they would very likely produce children with a major disability (i.e. Downs Syndrome, Sickle Cell Anemia, etc.) (This came up in a conversation with a co-worker today and I immediately thought "what a perfect DOND question. ) Again, a moot point with me; N/A quote:
DOND: has an uncanny ability to start threads that are all but instantly closed. LOL! John, perhaps your siggy is a bit, uhm, too prophetic. [:D] quote:
DOND.....only wants a spouce with long hair? [;)] Truthfully . . . at this point in my life, NO Deal. I have been playing with my hair for a few months now, and I am really REALLY loving it. In December, I had 12" of long straight hair cut off and the rest (which is about 1/2" past the lobes of my ears) put in a spiral perm. A month ago, I had it colored auburn red. I'm having a LOT of fun doing this . . . and it has lifted my spirits and has given me some extra confidence that I didn't even know I needed. And quite frankly, I'm really enjoying the compliments I'm getting. [:)] And depending on what I "do" with my hair in the mornings . . . I can have fluffy hair or tight curly hair; a "do" for all moods. LOL I realize that not all of my answer deals specifically with long hair . . . but for me, it's the idea behind the philosophy that I'm addressing . . . that a wife cannot change her looks unless her husband approves. There is more to me than my beauty; and while I will want my husband to notice and appreciate my beauty, I will also desire that he appreciate ALL aspects of me; not just the externals. Placing emphasis on my keeping my hair long negates this. quote:
He and his friends had Lan parties on a regular basis... DOND? I have no idea . . . WHAT are Lan parties? quote:
DOND: Has a need to watch as many Orioles and Ravens games as possible??? Or as many Jayhawks games as possible? [:D] Deal. He can teach me about the games he watches (or are we talking birding here . . . orioles, ravens, jayhawks? heehee; I have binoculars - deal). quote:
DOND: They have 5 checking accounts and 5 savings accounts, at 5 different banks. This would only be an issue if he refused to put me on all his accounts after we get married. Money should not be a separate thing between a husband and wife. quote:
DOND: He/she issues empty threats on occasion. Depends on the motive behind them. LOL. Are they really "empty" or is it covering up something that needs to be discussed. quote:
DOND: He/She is addicted to a TV show you hate. Depends. Is my attitude toward such show because I consider it inane or because it is unGodly in some way? If it's inane - I can always go do something else during that time. If it's unGodly, no deal. quote:
DOND: They are unsatisfied (but very secure) at their job This is a toughie. Lots of conversation would have to take place before I would make a DOND decision either way. quote:
DOND: Silly Putty is something they keep in large quantities. While I would consider "large quantities" of silly putty to be quite bizarre for and adult to have on hand, I don't think I would run screaming for the hills because of this. quote:
DOND: they are a wealth of trivial knowledge. (Picture Cliff Claven on Cheers but better looking) Deal; trivia is fun and interesting and, even sometimes, actually educational (although Cliff Claven, in his totality, is definitley not for me). YES OR NO: Outside of the basic precept of WHO God is, they don't have a lot of black and white areas in their life (including all aspects . . . Spiritual, Political, etc.)
