Jimbo- I found your brother: Scott Hollifield: No butts about it, mooning dangerous By Scott Hollifield rhollifield@mcdowellnews.com Thursday, June 5, 2008 quote:
A 21-year-old Dutch man is recovering from severe injuries to his backside after a tragic mooning accident. He and a friend dropped their pants “as a joke,” according to the AP story, and scampered down a street in Utrecht, Netherlands (presumably in wooden shoes on their way to a leaky dike). The man decided to push his own netherlands against a window of a restaurant for the amusement and/or horror of others. The window shattered and the man suffered “deep wounds to his derrière,” said the story, which was sent to me by a reader who was apparently Googling the word “derrière.” you gotta read the whole thing... it is quite amusing to say the least. ~e

Didya get back to that coffee pot in one piece? Wish I could've come to Yellowstone! Yes, we are still in CA waiting for our house to sell!!! It's been on the market 2 months so we are just starting. Others down the street have been up for sale much longer. What has happened to all the gang? MJ? Ellie-Mae? and the rest?

Gross Jimbo- simply GROSS! Splendid news though- I have been given my husbands blessing to pray and church shop after he leaves for iraq in September. So after 4 years of attending the Brass Plaque Social Club that is run by the three lil ol lady sisters who currently have the most relitives names on the brass plaques and cause the entire congregation to walk on eggshells for fear of offending them I am FREE FREE FREE! Yes, I did offend one of the Three. I told her that running two sets of books(calenders for the fellowship building) was not right and needed to stop. Oooooooo BAD ME!~ The lil ol lady sat there and said that 100 VBS kids took second place to another matter she had scheduled... I think I smiled more yesterday than I have all year! ~e

I think I smiled more yesterday than I have all year! ~e Praise the Lord! hehehehehe I have been doing crafts with those 100 VBS kids this week. They all leave wondering what I am up to- All smilin and having a good time and all. My Honey has told the Pastor who just left(he has stayed on to help out with VBS as he committed to it before the promotion at the seminary happened.) Jerry has also told the deacon body. The ex-pastor wanted to be sure that it wasn't because he and his family were leaving. it was at this point that Honey had to tell said pastor that I had never felt like the place was "home" Like I'd been accepted into the "flock" that it was not the ministerial staff but the others in the congregation. It is a relational thing, I have found no Christian fellowship there, I am an outsider that gets tapped to do work from time to time... Honey had fellowship with the pastor and a few of the other deacons, and felt called to serve there- he said it was to affect a change, either in US or the church itself. It has affected change in me. I refuse to walk on eggshells any longer. I refuse to sit back and allow a lil ol lady tell me that 100 kids in our largest YEARLY outreach take a back seat to 30-40 of the "Good Ol Boys"---- then look around the church and find ZERO folks willing to back me up because they do not want to endure the wrath of the lil ol lady. SURE they agree it is wrong! but they do nothing. I had already told them I was done with the Church Clerk stuff when jerry announced his deployment. That is no longer mine after the august business meeting. I am even looking forward to COMPILING all the JUNK involved in the handing of that over- This bunch is about to lose their Chairman of the deacons(Iraq) the Church Clerk, the sign girls, half the youth. But life will very likely go easier for them all because the trouble maker is not gonna be around anymore. ~ezri
