I have many fond memories of happy jolly times at the garbage dumps of my youth. Lots of cool stuff there and at that time you could take it home free!

SAVE ME, O God; for the waters are come into my soul. I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I am come into deep waters where the floods overflow me. I am weary of my crying my throat is dried, mine eyes fail while I wait for my God....

O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee. Let not them that wait on thee, O LORD God of hosts, be ashamed for my sake; let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel....

Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink:let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters. Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up. and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me. Hear me O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies. And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily. Draw nigh unto my soul and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.
Psalm 69:1-3, 5, 6, 14-18

Often I can be my own worst enemy and Satan can use my own thoughts and emotions as his battle ground as he has lately...

The dump was great! Gotta post pics when I have time. RJ's birthday was wonderful, I really surprised him! My SIL's surgery is tomorrow morning. Her and her kids will need much prayer!

I am going through some spiritual battles here, and could use some prayer.

YIKES! Oh I never got back here, well my SIL's surgery was postponed to tomorrow.
--------------------------------------------------------
Showers of blessings, Showers of blessings we need........Mercy drops around us are falling, but it's showers we need

The business of this week as well as the major events going on make it difficult to focus on the reason for the season or that the season has finally arrived. Christmas programs at church, Winter programs at the kids' schools, Christmas get-togethers at work, my husband's oral surgery where he gets all of his teeth yanked out and new ones put in today, and my SIL's brain surgery tomorrow, the sadness that still lingers over the ones who have gone home to the Lord in the past two years(can you believe there have been four), the stress of money and the lack of it, presents, what presents? There aren't any under the tree! (there is a goal to get some by Christmas eve) all of this has all got my mind tiredly swirling about. It is easy to get sucked in to the fear that is bought about with all of these events and that is the time when we need to be still and know that God is still sitting on the throne!

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.Deuteronomy 31:6

For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:17

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10-11

Remember the reason for the season and don't get caught up in the busyness of the time and accept the blessings given!

Hi everybody. I just received an email from DeeDee, and I thought that I'd share some of it with you for those who are interested.

quote:

We are on summer break. God has blessed in many ways! The kids and I along with two of their friends went camping and got caught in the worst storm I have ever been in I thought we were going to get struck by lightning or we were just not going to survive. It was a horrible storm and we were just in a tent. Yet while trees got struck by lightning we took refuge in the bathrooms and were safe the whole time! God held a protective hand over the campgrounds. When we left the next morning there was a lot of devastation we saw and it was amazing how we were spared!! Then besides all of the bad storms we have had there has been a lot of flooding here in Indiana. Many have lost houses and Yet our house is saved just our basement got wet, which is where RJ's room is, but it's drying out now. However, it is raining AGAIN!! On top of that, Robert and I have been doing amazingly well lately. I am excited to see him every day when he comes home from work, how cool is that? Hubby's grandma is coming out with his nephew tomorrow to spend two weeks with us, that should be fun! Tell everyone at CW hi and how we're doing. For what ever reason I just don't seem to get over there anymore. I think of everyone often.... But don't seem to get there.

Thanks for posting that, Trish! I've wondered what happened to Dee Dee . . . . so good to hear their were spared from the devastation of the storms that have swept thru. Hope she makes it back in soon, too.
