I do not want or expect anything free. I know all about bills to pay but I also know what i go to GOSPEL concerts for and it is not for infomercials. I can sit home, save my money and see them on TV

That's what I would do then, if I were you, and I was offended.

Personally, I love the Hoppers and I think they do a WONDERFUL job!

That's a great pic of you with Kim et al, Santa. You looked like you were having a lot of fun. Did you spend much time in the role of Santa or did you spend a lot of your time walking around? Get any unusual reactions? Oh, and which list is Kim on?

Spent about 2 1/2 hours at Canaan Records booth doing photos the entire time and then they walked me around about half the booths for more photos. Hopefully Canaan will post photos soon on their website.

Kim is on the GOOD list, of course.

Does anyone else on here have the Hoppers new Live Across North America CD? The reason I am asking is because when it first starts a man is introducing them and says "Here are three generations..." and they never mentioned anything about Karlye singing with them. I'm confused!

Yes, from what I could tell Karlye did not have a feature on this recording.

I am hoping "Blame It On Love" is the first single from the new recording. Another great Ronny Hinson tune.

Okay, I was talking with my cousin last night and she was asking me about Claude and Connie's age, and she asked if I thought they would ever retire. I told her Claude always says not until he absolutely has to, and wanted to know what I thought the rest of the group would do if Claude and Connie did retire. I said that maybe Mike would step up as bass singer, and if Karlye is older she might want to take Connie's spot. What do ya'll think? Who do you think would take their positions?

I have said many times that the next Hopper Qt is in place now. It will be Kim, Dean, Mike, & Karlye. They will miss Claude & Connie but the group will never miss a beat.

I predict it will either be that or Kim going solo with Dean and Mike as a backup band (and trio / qt with Karlye on select numbers).

Or how about the Hoppers and Greenes merge. Kim can begin singing the lower range and have Taranda sing the power soprano with Dean picking up lead and Tony singing baritone. John will be able to play piano and Mike can stay on drums and still sing a few bass notes.

Good idea, but I like to hear Kim sing the soprano part!! I will miss her singing soprano if she does that! Although that would be a great idea!! They would still be a family group that way.

I agree with Hopperfan... Kim needs to sing the soprano parts. Taranda is good, but I still prefer Kim.

Me, too. Kim is a powerful soprano! She is right where she needs to be, IMO.

Maybe they could swap out soprano / alto parts, much like James Blackwood and Jake Hess (the two finest lead singers of the 50s & 60s) did when they sang together in the Masters V in the 80s.

It sure wouldn't hurt having two of the best female vocalists in one group.
