Do you borrow DVDs from your library. We used to do that, before we started using Netflix.

yes, I borrow DVDs and books. I also do Netflex, but I share with two other people, so I only get one movie.

Isn't my avator awesome. I told Awed what I wanted and she put her skills to work for me. She's such a sweetie.

I have a dental appointment today. Gosh do I still miss Shannon. This aide is a 22-year-old college student whose finances get in the way of her job, especially today.

Well, I gotta go take my meds and make the bus, with or wiothout her..

Shannon was good. It's outrageous that they fired her!

Yesterday and today were wasted, except I did get my teeth cleaned. It wasn't the senior partner; the new gal was just a little too sweet, but I wasn't rude. She gave me a rechargeable toothbrush which sold for $15 and I just smiled and said "thank you".
She nearly got a rise out of me when after complimenting me on my outfit, she asked if "they" picked it out or if I chose it myself. I replied that I did, not bothering to ask who "they" were. It also chided when she called 20ish technicians, "Ma'am", but called me by my first name.
She moved here three years ago from Texas, so what do ya' expect?

It's just twice a year and there I can get referrals if I need a root canal, etc. I felt more comfortable when I had two little ones with me. 0, well

LOL, Ben.

Oh, and I meant to say 20ish-year-old technicians, not 20 technicians.

I used to feel totally humiliated when something like this happened, but as I discovered in the nursing home, the past 22.5 years of family life has developed my self-esteem, in God, so much that I let a bit roll off my back.

Still, it's degrading. I hate being treated that way!

Maybe it makes you smarter. Because speaking isn't as easy for you, you can't just say whatever comes to your mind. You think about what is important to say and say only what needs to be said. Just like with typing on here. Because typing for you is difficult, you don't just post the first emotional flippant thing that comes to your mind, you post what needs to be said and only after you've thought about it. Why waste your precious energy on something that could damage a relationship or hurt feelings.

I'm guilty. Yesterday was your birthday, Marsha, and I just saw that on my calendar. Please forgive me for not being more attentive.

Happy Birthday, Marsha!

yes, Sunday we went to church, then Nathan took us out to lunch. I was in the mood for desserts, so we went to the Golden Corral. Desserts are the only thing they still do well. By the time they put out more baked sweet potatoes, I had moved on to desserts. I do love their mashed potatoes, always have.

I haven't been here for a few days, but things are status quo. Yesterday I exchanged something at the mall. The flowering trees are in bloom, so the ride was pretty. My front yard is also at it's prettiest. We're getting frost tonight, however. Last spring, it was so cold that trees didn't bloom at all.

I have a fill-in aide today. Ericka came, but was throwing up. I hope it's not catching. I seem to get my share of sickly help.

What's for dinner?

HAPPY (late) BIRTHDAY, MARSHA!!

Glad you got to do something special!

Do hope you don't catch anything from the aide. Garrett has a stomach bug again . . so far he's managed to give me about everything he's had, so

I take it that didn't include vast sums of money...
