Wouldn't that be a riot?!! I was just talking to a co-worker who does a lot of driving places, and he told me an alternative to having to go through the Chicago area as I had told him that that is a major hinderance to my confidence to drive east.
Anyway, yes, it would be a lot of fun to road trip with a bunch from here.

I wish I could cartoon better. There are so many times I get little "comic" visuals about some of the goings on here.

Sorry to hear that. Bothering in what way?

But Sharon, I think that you cartoon so well already!

Like a stiffness/pain, it seems to be a little bit better since I laid down though. I think that I will "make" myself do some stuff today as to not be stuck in the house and doing nothing.

Well, as far as cartoons...I mess with other's cartoons. I mean literally draw up some of the things I think. I doodle some but...

If your back is hurting or recovering, that is probably part of the leg issue and yeah, it might be good to move around a bit today.
I have to try not to sit in one place too long or it takes 10 minutes to really get going again.

Honestly, it seems as if sitting in this chair at the computer seems to agravate it more, go figure. The only thing is that this is where in the house I get most of my enjoyment, next to listening to the radio and watching TV as well.

I might go see a movie, may not be a bad idea. At least to get outside for awhile, or do something interesting anyway.

Hiya Karlie! Has California fallen into the ocean yet? Then again Massachusetts is still here.

Mike, I hope you're feeling better quickly.

A road trip with folks from here would be fun though if we did something like that, can you imagine trying to make decisions? For instance, where would we go? Who would drive? Who would be in what vehicle? How often would we stop? How long would our stops be? When should we set out in the morning? When would we stop? Would we use hotels or tents? and so no.

Hi Maggie, sounds like the reason why so many GT's do not end up happening!

Hey Karlie, 102º? Now thats hot! But it must be a dry heat though instead?

Oops! I missed a bunch of posts. Hi Karlie! 102º already? Yikes! I don't think we've gotten past the mid 70's yet this year and then only for a few days. Talking about falling into the ocean, I watched "Volcano" with dh a couple of nights ago. It was certainly a gripping story even if many parts of it were far fetched.

It's fairly dry. We have our humid days, but not bad right now.

Mike, how is it that the singles manage to have a GT every year and the rest of us seem incapable? I really enjoyed the one in 2002.

Well this is only the second year, however John_O is very nice enough to open up his house to us GTers and that saves a lot of money from the get-go.

Yes, despite me being depressed back then, I really enjoyed the 2002 GTGT as well!

LLisa tried to organize one at a camp by her house when she lived in Missouri and everyone backed out. It was pretty sad. Larry said we couldn't go because he was not going to drive all the way down there since the campground didn't have a lake.

Everyone? Yes I do remember that I ended up not commiting to it myself, but I thought that it was at a campground or something? Or was this a different time as well?

That's what I said Mike, at a camp by her house, not at her house. It's not like we were going to camp in her backyard or something, it was at a campground.

The only one that came to visit her was Dee. (thisistheday)

Hey Maggie! There's an idea!! (opening your house to our coming.)

Karlie, thanks about the lilacs. They are right out my front door but the bush is my neighbors. I can really smell them today so I thought I would go take some pics to go along with the smell.

It's sunny, about 68º and breezy. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Yup that was a shout. LOL!

I was out with a little hack saw trying to trim some limbs on my old cedars so when someone mows they won't be "slapped" in the face, but the on the last branch I was working on the blade flew off and the screw and nut fell off
Fixed it though.
