Got a good report from the Dr. today. He was pleased with the blood tests. Have to have that done every 4 months or so just to be sure I am behaving myself. Thanks for the prayers.

I read about your good report, Santa and it made me think of something my Pastor said yesterday in church. He says that his doctors schedule his appointments around their car payments..... thought it was funny at the time.... but could be true..... ha ha.

Thanks. My Doctor goes to my church and occasionally plays the offeretory piano selection. He is good. Not sure, but he maybe has played at Louise Mandrell Theater for their Sunday morning worship service a couple years ago. So some of you may know him from there.

I vaguely remember a doctor that played on a video I have of a Sunday morning service at the theater. I'll have to pull it back out and look at it again!

Would you join my family in praying for my grandson, Noah? He is 20 months old and was born with a q12 chromosome deletion. He has spent a lot of time in the hospital for a variety of surgeries as well as illnesses. He is again suffering from a respiratory virus and is a very sick little boy. His mother keeps a blogsite for him and you can check http//noahgrantjohn.blogspot.com for more information. Of course, it is not up-to-date now that they are in hospital, where she does not have access to internet.

I will be preaching my very first sermon (as an ordained minister) on July 15th. My pastor wants to make sure that I'm prepared, so he wants me to come by with my sermon notes Tuesday. Since I was ordained (in April) I've been writing away and have a few sermons outlined. My only problem is, what do I preach about? Please pray for guidance on this because I really want to get this right.

(And if anyone that lives close enough wants to attend, let me know and I'll PM you directions. )

A former baritone of my quartet has a son named Noah. He is one day older than my daughter. (11 1/2 months) When he was about 4 months old he had surgery to remove a tumor. The poor child almost did not make it.
We found out today that he has two more tumors. They have to make a choice between more surgery or chemo. Please pray for little Noah and his parents. I can imagine having to go through something like this.

Thanks for the welcome, Santa. I have been lurking here for several months and pray for requests as I read down the page, including your blood work. Our little Noah is responding to medication and seems to be improving. I also am praying for Noah #2 and his family. I am aware of how difficult these situations are for the parents and siblings.

Congratulations dude. I will pray for you.

I suggest that you preach about sin...

...and be against it.

(In the alternative, you could preach about 1. beginnings, 2. first steps in Christianity, or 3. what you know best - you: , Where you came from, what brought you to be in front of this congregation, and where you are going.)

Santa, Hubby and I farm in Manitoba, Canada. It's a long way from "southern gospel" country but we enjoy just the same!

I just came in from a Inspirations concert tonight. Archie Watkins was not able to be there, and from my understanding he is facing surgery on his throat very soon, maybe even next week. When talking to Mike Holcome at the product table he was asking for prayer for Archie and the surgery.

Also I had a chance to talk with Matt Dibbler concerning his nephew, Byron Fouty. They still know nothing. It is very hard on the family not knowing what has happened.

Let's keep these 2 request in out prayers.

Praying for Archie. I just sent this request to my prayer partners. And would like for all of you to continue to pray for Godsgotanarmy and Christiansoldier. Have not heard from them in several days. I know both said things were going on so they would not be posting for a while so continue to pray for them as well as all of our service people.

The New Hope Church in Sevierville (where the Mull Singings are now held) suffered a great loss when their thrift store burned down last night. I believe that the building (sort of an indoor strip mall) had some other charitable uses.

Remember the church members and leadership in your prayers.

My grandson Noah is now home from the hospital! Praise God! The doctors allow him to be discharged earlier than usual because his mother is a nurse and can continue his care at home. Our ongoing prayer is that he will be able to stay out of the hospital until his next scheduled surgery. Thank you all for your prayers!
