have held off on this a while but the situation is getting worse.
I ask for prayer for my dad. he turned 70 this year and his health is getting bad. found out he was a diabetic and it has effected his hips. he has to have at least a cane to get around.

Praying for all these requests.
I'd like to ask prayer for a situation that really is troubling to all involved. A lady, in her late 70s, she has been in church all her life, she professes to be saved but she can sow more dischord than anyone I've ever seen or heard about. She can walk into a room and within minutes has picked apart almost everyone there - it may be their dress, they hair, they're too fat or too something.
She has a group of 'pet sins' that she harps on constantly, she continually puts folks down that do any of these but can't or won't acknowledge the damage she does with her tongue.
In the coming days there are situations that fall into 'her pet sin category' that are going to come to light that will probably set her off. This will hurt people that I care a great deal about. Please pray that God will control her tongue. And that He will open her eyes to see the damage she is doing. I don't really think she has a clue to how much damage her words have done and continue to do.

Praying for Knoxville Police Officer that has been shot several times this afternoon in NW Knoxville (Westin Ave area) and he has been rushed to a Knoxville Hospital. This happened just a little while ago.
Shooting occured just off Rockbridge Lane for those of you in the Knoxville area like Christi.

Please pray for all your buddies in Atlanta. A tornado has touched down within about 5 miles of us (Woodstock/Holly Springs) and more storms are on the way.

It missed you and heading towards us. You need to get that fan blowing in a different direction Sam. We're okay so far but those near of us are currently in tornado warnings...funnel cloud been spotted. Pray for those in this storm's path.

This happened fairly close to us (within 2 miles or so). Our neighborhood was on heightened alert and we were encouraged to stay in our homes, but we felt like sitting ducks and helicopters were swooping around and so low that our windows were rattling and we had to get out of here. We had to go through a check point to get out of our subdivision. There were at least a dozen squad cars and unmarked cars lining the street and we had to put our car windows down and let them search the inside of the car. They were very nice...as soon as they saw GB they took a look in the cargo area of my SUV and smiled at her and us and said "thank you" in a very nice and unintimidating manner.
As of right now there are 9 people in custody, but the 3 suspects (shooters) have not been caught yet. We're home, but a tiny bit nervous. I hope they are caught, but I hope they are gone from this area.
The officer is out of surgery and in stable condition.

I was mistaken. The officer who was shot is in critical condition. I had said stable condition earlier, but that was not the case. Sorry for the confusion.

We made it through the storms just fine last night, but about 5-6 miles away there is significant damage. They said on the news this morning that over 100 homes were damaged. From the pictures I saw, it looks more like extreme winds rather than a tornado. The Weather Service will check it out and make a ruling today.
