ORIGINAL: Grace-N-Mercy Hey, honey. I need help STAT... Isn't there something that goes where the carpet meets the tile that will hold down the raw edge of the carpet? My kitty has found the "strings" and has pulled up the carpet and I need to prevent it from going any farther. Is the underlying floor wood or cement. If it is wood they make edge pieces that you nail to the floor and squeeze over the edge of the carpet. They are aluminum and you can buy a section and cut it to fit with a pair of tin snips. If is cement they may make a simular product that you can glue to the floor. Another alternative is a small rug over the edge where the tile and carpet meet.

Look in the flooring section. Is the carpet higher than the tile or at the same level?

See if you can find a flexible edge piece that will cover the connection of the tile and carpet. They may sell it is fixed lengths and you will have to cut it to fit your space. The only thing I am not sure about is how to fasten it down, but the people at the home store will tell you how to do that.

Hey Honey... The car won't start.... nothing. Doesn't even want to turn over. Battery, alternator? or starter? but if the starter is going out, doesn't that make that clicking sound? or am I getting my wires crossed here? Dear Twin #1 has been using the car in her auto mechanics class & she said that she has been taking the battery in & out this past week to work on alternator belts -- at least I think that's what she said...????? Since she has been working on it, I'm wondering about a loose connection? There hasn't been any problems w/ it until yesterday...... If she's been working on the car it all week and the car has been running, could a loose connection just show up all of a sudden? Just wondering if it's something we can fix quick or if we need to take it in... Do we try and jump it or look for ... ah, what am I gonna look for?

Hi Guys! Why would a computer say that it has encountered a problem with the IP. If I remember correctly, it said that there is another computer on my network with the same one and it will sometimes kick me off the internet and I can't get back on unless I restart my computer. My comp. is a Dell Inspiron it is 6 months old and I have Vista. I'm wondering if my IP conflict is what is keeping me from being able to start threads???

A box came up that said Network Error, Diagnose or close. When I diagnose it says: could not come up with a solution to fix the problem(not in those words though)

Does restarting reboot? If so then yes. Is shutting down different than restarting?
