I think bigfoot is real. I just think that he is naturally blurry. It is not the photographers fault. Bigfoot is a blurry monster.
And to me, that's extra scary. There is a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the country sides! Run! Get away! He's fuzzy!

No really! I worked with a news guy who did a local story on aliens and abductions. He interviewed Pastor Chris Ward from Leesburg, FL who counsels people who believe they have been...ahem...abducted by aliens!
The name of the nesw story was "The Return of the Watchers", so I googled that and found Pastor Ward's website.
Yeah, we've poked some fun here, but apparently other Christian organizations have taken a more serious look at this UFO phenomenon.

I have ignored this thread for some of the reasons mentioned until today. There have been some important things said re: the topic. I am wanting to just add a thought or two.
I came from the mainline church so these kinds of things were NOT a part of our teaching or thoughts. As someone already pointed out, for many, the devil, does not really exist.
I know that satan is very real and the demonic realm is active and functioning today. I believed it before I had any experience (that I could recognize as such). But I want to share my experience in the hope that it can encourage others who perhaps share the experience.
However, when I began to be an intercessor, that is when I had my first knowing encounters. (I use the term knowing carefully---I knew what I was experiencing but did not want any greater knowledge.)
I began praying for our church and as I prayed, the Lord led me to pray specifically and fervently for our pastor. The Lord would frequently wake me in the night for prayer. I would often get out of bed and go into my closet and kneel as I prayed for our pastor.
During this season of intense intercession, I had several experiences where 'something' was beside the bed, reaching for me. Although a bit disturbing at first, I continued in prayer. And I reminded myself that this intercession was being confirmed as powerful and productive because it was disturbing the powers of darkness. They did not like or want me to continue in prayer for my pastor.
I prayed on.
The powers of darkness are no match for the power, the blood, and the intercession of Jesus! They wanted me to stop. The Lord told me to pray on. Praise the name of Jesus.

I've mentioned this before on another forum that my daughter always gets attacked when satan particularly feels threatened. I have felt like I have been forging ahead in the Lord lately and just a few minutes ago she phoned to ask me to get an appointment for her b/c she's coughing up blood. (she works at a place where she breaths in dust and was motivated by vanity not to wear a mask) It's happened so many times that its no longer coincidental to me. Not anly do I see God moving in my life but I see satans moves too. If I gave him one inch of ground I would be really in trouble As you said satan is already conquered in our lives but I would really like it if she didnt give satan so many openings

Thanks, earthless. I want to be obedient to His voice in all things. And this was one of those areas where I had no formal teaching, nor did I desire it. I have been taught by Him and He knows the way--- But I wanted to share so that others could, perhaps, learn from my experience. Our battle is NOT against flesh and blood. That's not just a scripture to quote. It is the real truth and the reason we need to be on our knees more. Bless ya back, earthless.

Yes, God does teach us, each as we need it.
I used to be terrified of the thought of demons and God wanted me to get over that fear. About 5 years ago He put me through a few months of training that completely knocked all fear out of me.
I was sitting in my living room one night when a huge knock, like something falling, knocked against the inside of the closet. I jumped out of my skin. I looked but there was nothing there that could have fallen or hit the door. I prayed, trembling in fear.
It happened again a week later, with things bumping in the night, each time I prayed. As the weeks progressed my fear diminished and I grew bolder in my prayers.
Finally, the last instance was one morning a large thump hit my bedroom floor. I was over the fear and simply spoke out, "Ok, enough. I'm tired of you guys. Get out in Jesus' name and leave me alone."
Suddenly the dresser drawer shook and another thump, louder than before, and then silence. All I could do was laugh because the Holy Spirit gave me a picture of these little demons having a temper tantrum like kids because they couldn't get me upset. I sat their thanking God and laughing because I had no more fear.
After that I was never bothered with it again and God told me I'd learned what He wanted. I've never been afraid of that since.

I have been reading this thread for the past ten minutes and there are people here who think any supernatural encounter is a figment of the recipients imagination. I, personally, have been attacked by a demon(or demons) more than a few times. The attacks have consisted of being held down on my bed unable to move,talk or scream. Anytime I tried to move I could hear(through my ears) the power of the entity holding me down. The sound(of the power or force) would increase the more I tried to move and resist. The only way I was able to escape is when I was barely able to say the word "Jesus" through clenched teeth and lips that were being held shut. For those of you who disbelieve I would recommend the book : The Demonologist The Extraordinary Career of Ed and Loraine Warren by Gerald Daniel Brittle. If you happen to read this book I urge you to filter this book through the Bible not the other way around because there are traditions and habits that they( Ed and Loraine) adhere to because they come from a catholic background but it doesn't negate the truth and experiences that they have gone through. Only mature christians should read as it may be to much for new or fragile christians.

hmm well... as for me i would always hear my name being called... so i would come out of my room and say "what?" lol and they would look at me and say no1 called u... in my room i would also hear 2 people talking a guy and a girl but i could never make out what they where saying it always sounded far away like in another room... i remember 1nite i got so scared... my door nob was shaking... fast... i couldnt even shake it as fast as it was when i told my mom about it... i also use to see a cat... lol... but it all stopped... i dnt really do the things i use to or watch the scary movies either... and now its all fine... nothing scary happening no more...

Stickwitu I have no idea what you are trying to say. Are you trying to be sarcastic or funny? Your post makes no sense to me unless you are just trying to be just that. Read the book that I recommended then reply. I am pretty sure your response will be different then. Take care.

I've experienced the same thing as DarrylK...I would be attacked in my sleep and paralzyed, same thing...I would then wake up...and feeling a pins and needles feeling over me...a few weeks ago, I experienced this every night. the week of Easter week..(one night i was up and in hte living room and I saw a blue round orb of light out on my porch with a streak of lightning coming out of it...It puzzled me when I saw that...it wasn't stormy at all that night...I heard from other Believers who experienced attacks that week, and was told that week is a high occult holiday...

Don't forget that the GOD we serve is paranormal
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Also, on this planet since Jesus left and until His return our contact with him is the holy ghost.
Not all of the apparitions people experience are evil and our lord is also lord over all spirits.

I know...for one time when I had experienced an attack in my sleep...demons harassing me...and this was when I was in an apartment that had a demon in it...I heard the voice of hte LORD telling the demons ot leave me alone...and when I woke up, I saw a beautiful gold cloud in the corner of my room! I knew it was the LORD! By the way, getting back to "easter week" when I saw the blue orb...it iddn't frightened me...I did not know if it was one that was of the LORD, or the enemy, but i wasn't frightened, just puzzled and blown away to see it...I figured that spiritual warfare was going on....a battle between the Angels of GOd, and that of the enemy...and that was why I saw lightning coming out of hte orb!
