Just made a blog post about it. Shocking news, but I wish Jason well.

Goes to show how flighty tenors can be...

...just when we were getting used to him.

Seriously, my prayers and best wishes for Jason. He will never regret furthering his education.

I just got that......Oh my, Donna is going to be heartbroken!!

This is good for Jason, though. Honestly. I went thru Bible College and he will not regret it!

Donna is just thrilled for Jason! I really hate to see him go, but I know without a doubt that he will be a wonderful minister, whether it is a preacher, a minister of music, or whatever he's led to do.

I re-submit my idea that our very own tenor from these boards, bigboytenor, should give it a shot. That'd be cool!

I hate it...for me (us), but not for him. But as others have stated, when the Lord says it's time to move, it's time to move! I believe that obedience is the key to blessings, so Jason is going to be fine.

The e-mail today definitely came as a surprise to me, especially since GV has been one of the more stable SG groups. The current lineup has been around for well over a decade.

I personally hope that Gerald can find someone else who is part Cherokee so he can keep using the same jokes!

I'm sure Gerald will find plenty more jokes, no matter who ends up in the tenor position!

I was going to send him an email saying "Happy Birthday!" but decided I ought to pass for that very reason.

I sent him an e-card anyway!!!! I absolutely wanted him to know that I was thinking about him on his (45th) birthday!!!! (I'm sure he doesn't mind us knowing his age......he listed his date of birth on his profile!!!)

I'll have to wish him a belated Happy Birthday when I see him on Friday.

Note from Gerald's latest email newsletter:

As we roll toward our first stop on this trip, I'm reminded of all the people who tell us that they pray for us regularly. That's a very comforting thought when you're traveling down the Interstate at 65 miles per hour with Rodney at the steering- wheel! LOL

Seriously, we really do appreciate your prayers and your friendship now, more than ever.

Have a blessed weekend!
