Well....since we didn't get to go to the picnic yesterday, I went ahead and bought our season passes and I took the kids out to Sea World. It was a beautiful day for it. Not too hot, not too cold and not raining. We had some friends out there working the 'Superchick' concert, but we didn't get wristbands for it - so we just stood outside (which was actually plenty loud enough) and visited with our friends and listened to the concert from afar. It was a good day, but it wiped me out. A lot of walking, which I'm not used to, but I'm sure it's good for me.

Didn't take any pictures...I purposely did NOT take my camera, or my purse, so I would not have to carry so much "stuff"....so by the end of the evening it was quite interesting to see me leaving with the kids. I was carrying 3 beach towels, two Shamu-kids-meal-carrier things (like a lunchbox) and two drinks. I don't think my plan worked out too well.
At least the kids were walking out on their own.

We're taking the grandchild (and the rest of the family too) to the zoo on Saturday. He's a little young at six months to appreciate it much, but it should still be a fun day. He loves looking around and taking in the sights, so I'm sure he'll love it. Tooshy has a reserved motorized scooter rented for her.

I tried to find a picture from the kids first trip to the zoo......no luck so far, but I did find a picture of them when Evelyn was 6 months old. Man, time flies.

Somedays it's hard to remember she was ever a baby.
I'm going to a reunion dinner tonight. It's a reunion of folks I used to work with (when I worked for the Church's Chicken corporate accounting offices). I'm really excited to see who all comes. I worked there for almost 15 years before I had Evelyn and stopped working. Ronnie always thought I was wierd because I went through a bit of withdrawal when I quit working. But most of them are like family to me. I'm taking my camera - so hopefully I'll have something to share with y'all tomorrow.

The kids keep getting into 'skirmishes'....Ben will then tell Evelyn that he hates her. This really bugs me. I keep telling him (I do this every time he starts his 'I hate Evelyn' diatribe) that he does NOT hate her, he may not like what she is doing at the moment, and she may be a pest at times and drive him batty, but deep down, he loves her....just like I love him, and just like Jesus loves us, NO MATTER WHAT.
When they are getting along, they get along really well.....but when they don't, it's madness around here.

I just googled the restaurant that the reunion is at tonight. It was a long time fixture at one location, but recently the original location was demolished, and it relocated.
I now know why the reunion is there. Because the President is one of my former co-workers (how cool is that?). I loved this rest. before, I hope the food is still as good. It used to be known for the waitresses with the bee-hive hair-do's. I spent many fun evenings there with theater people when I was working with one of the summer theater companies here.
