Our youth group consists mostly of emotionally-dramatic-cataclysmic middle school girls and hormonal guys. Yeah, it's been heck, I tell ya, heck.

Ugh.

Poor Randy. I think I already went through that stage. It lasted about a day and a half before I realized how dumb it was!

The song I've got running around in my head I shall not name. It's too embarrassing!

Sounds a lot like my youth group. I can't stand all that stupid girly drama. While they're complaining about their "problems", I'm just thinking, "you're pathetic" and continue goofing off with my guys.

"Shaun the Sheep. It's Shaun the Sheep." *continue till driven to insanity*

If I had any dignity left, it would be embarrassing to admit that I kind of enjoy that show.

I just saw the one with the kite, and I laughed til I cried. I'm so pathetic.

Shaun used the baby sheep to erase the chalkboard, and put the chalk covered sheep back on the ground on top of a lady bug. That cracked me up so bad. *snickers*

The bouncing-off the mattress was by far the highlight.

And I don't know who Shaun the Sheep is!! LOL I feel so totally left out! GAH, another embarassingly dumb song in my head... I have a mind like a steel trap when it comes to songs, which is good a lot of the time, but then there are the times where I wish I could forget songs right away... 'specially the ones I hear in the mall.... blech.

Awwww... praise God, I was never like that... But when all my senior buddies graduated, I was the oldest. That means everyone is like, late middle school/early high school.

Part of the reason I quit, actually...

At times I wouldn't mind leaving myself. But, we have no youth pastor. Basically, I'm partially a leader among a few others who cannot devote the time to the youth, because of prior business, therefore is seems we are stuck in a rut.

A youth group requires a passionate leader. I see this in the kids. Hopefully, once graduating Bible college, I can devote myself with the passion for them.

We didn't have a youth pastor, either. I think it's awesome that you want to be a youth pastor. That takes a long of guts. I was the oldest girl in the group, so our leader looked to me for help a lot with the younger girls. Also, as part of the band, I was looked at as kind of a representative of the group.
Now, with my best friend and me both gone, I think they're having some trouble. We were really the guys and girls leaders... I feel bad, but I just couldn't take it anymore.

hmm. At my church, we have a youth group but not one that meet frequently. We organise programs for ourselves and stuffs. A lot of ppl in there are also very responsible. I think the dominant age in the group also determines how well the group would be. At mine--its predominantly 17&above

It was either become a youth pastor or raise a farm of apes and slowly plot the obliteration of mankind. Financially, the first option broadened my view.

That's exactly how it was when my former youth past and his wife left. The girls really hit rock bottom, and it killed half of me since my youth pastor was the closest thing to my big bro.

Downside to being a pastor of any sort is the political hoopla. Hopefully, I can avoid the harsher situations.

Well, hopefully I'll be able to take care of the political aspect.

With all the girls 15 or younger, it's kind of a madhouse.

I don't know, Schect. You strike me as more of a Samus opposed to Master Chief.

Personally, Samus owns Master Chief. For the sake of my gaming reputation, I won't flat-out admit it during a Halo tournament.
