Hi all,

An update on my Grandma Honey who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and who is not a firm believer in Jesus...

I think my mom, who has a rare heart for witnessing to the unsaved, is going to visit her soon! What a blessing to have God "send one of his people to the scene"! Please pray that this visit does occur ... Grandma Honey is my dad's mom and my parents are divorced. My mom would be going there as a missionary and I know my grandmother misses her ex daughter in law very much. I think she will listen to what my mom has to say regarding salvation. I was feeling so hopeless about it all, but God has these amazing answers for our feeble prayers!

Please pray for my sister and her husband. She was about 10 weeks pregnant and friday evening she had a miscarriage.

Just stopping by to give you all an update on MissGizmo.

She called me to let me know (to let you all know) that she will be having a triple bypass tomorrow morning, Sept. 6th, at 7:00 am. Please pray for the doctors as they perform this surgery and that MissGizmo will heal fast with little pain and return to posting quickly. We miss her!![&:]

EDIT: Miss Gizmo also says THANK YOU SO MUCH for your prayers for her! Keep them coming!![:)]

Please pray - I found an empty strip of pills in my car about a week ago for what, I found out this morning while doing a search online, turns out to be a generic viagra type drug.

I asked dh about it today (hadn't given it a thought until this morning when I realised the strip wasn't from throat lozenges as I'd assumed) and he doesn't have a clue where it's come from (and hasn't been in my car)..

I plan to ask J and X about it (separately) this afternoon. It may turn out to be that it was something that they found under a seat while putting my seat covers on for me last week (I'm hoping), a leftover from the previous owner (I've only had this car a short time).

But, there is always the possibility that it may be something more sinister which dh and I really need to be aware of.

Praise God! Apparently it was in the ashtray and J was checking out all the nooks and crannies of my new car and pulled it out.

What a strange thing to cart around in your car with you. [&:]

I have a couple of other praises too -

* A catenary wire snapped on the site dh and one of his associates are working on. They were not in the roof at the time it snapped and nothing got damaged either.

* I got the stuff I needed to get for X's concert tomorrow night.

* J got invited for a sleepover tomorrow night and won't have to go to X's school for the concert (those who've followed J's schooling in the last 12mths would know that that would be a really hard situation).

and

* I have been happily surprised at just how much sleep I've gotten while dh is away. Usually when he's not in the house I barely get any sleep.

I'm off to work after three days of multiple panic attacks. I prayed for some members here and some that I know in real life and took my meds. That seems to have helped. However, the dizzy spells from my allergies or cold have been so bad that I'm not sure I can stand long enough to take a shower. Please pray that I get through it.

I keep trying to remember Romans 12:12. That is the verse that I'm trying to commit to memory this week.

I just found out that my grandmother might have Parkinson's Disease.[:(] I suspected that she might when I saw her in July. We are waiting to hear about some test results to confirm or deny that she has this disease. YIKES!!! The waiting part is especially difficult. Please pray for my grandfather, mom and Aunt who are struggling with this whole process.

We are having to buy a new car quickly without much prayer and preparation. Please pray for wisdom and good stewardship as we make this decision. We don't buy cars often, so this decision will probably affect us for years to come.

Please pray that baby moves out of breech position. I am 38 weeks and this has just knocked me that it won't move so I am feeling kind of down today.

I do have a praise point that my gestational diabetes is well under control and doctors are very happy with that!

Ladies I am needing tons of prayer. My ex has tried to get ahold of me. And didn't give up when I denied a friend request then proceeded to send me msgs. I'm so angry now and the tears won't stop.

Lord help me :(

Ladies, I need prayer! I am about 8 months pregnant ... The last two days I've been feeling like I'm barely holding things together. Tonight I broke down when I thought of another three weeks ahead, becoming less and less mobile with the world's sweetest baby relying on me for everything all day long. I don't know what to do ... I feel I need some kind of relief ... my family can't come to be with me for another few weeks and I don't know what to do.

I am a little worried for Claire.

I'm posting a request for our friend Meghan (Bookaholic) ...with her permission.

Meghan has been having trouble with her eyes lately, she has a condition in which her body doesn't produce enough tears, and her eyes have been affected the last little while. Her doctor is going to put plugs in her tear ducts today to keep her tears from draining away.
Aside from surgery, this is one of the last options, and she could be facing eventual permanent damage to her eyes.

Please pray that this procedure would go well, and that it will work in preventing more damage to her eyes. She is facing a lot right now, please pray for peace and guidance.

Dh is travelling twelve hours home today after putting in an over 100hr week. Please pray for his safety and for safety for the other guy he's travelling with.

Also that things will run smoothly while explaining the system they have installed to the client so that they can get a reasonably early start.

Dh and his workmate didn't get the early start they had hoped for and are leaving now. That means that they won't get home until close to Midnight and will be very tired. Please pray they will be wise enough to stop somewhere if they need to have a sleep.

Her son called today and said that the surgery went GREAT, and that she'll be in the hospital for 5-7 more days and then be back home (and on the computer! lol)[:D][:D][:D]

I had to call 911 this evening. My neighbor (who is early 20s) decided to beat up his girlfriend. She kept leaving the house and he'd pull her back in. He didn't actually hit her in my view, but he was yanking her around by the arm and cussing loud enough for everyone to hear. It took almost 10 minutes for the first officer to get here. Within 20 minutes there were seven cars at his house. They took both of them away in handcuffs. He put up quite a fight and actually attacked the arresting officer when he showed up. Definately a drug-related situation. He makes his money dealing. This is at least the 4th time that he has been arrested in the 11 years we've lived here. I'm not sure how many happened when he was a minor.

Right after I made the call, I came in the house and told my husband what was happening. I never thought to tell my dd to keep her mouth shut. One of her friends came over to see if we knew what all the chaos was about. She proudly told her friend that I called 911. This friend is the biggest gossip in town. If this guy gets out on bail and finds out that I made the call, then my family will have problems. This guy is very dangerous.

We need some prayers for protection.

just an update and praise point
went to the OB today and baby is head down and not breech like the GP thought it was which is wonderful because I had been freaking out about it all weekend.
So thanks for your prayers about it! God is good :)

If you can continue to pray it stays head down and that it arrives soon, also that it's at a good time of day or I don't need an epidural as I may not be able to have one depending on the time of day it is.

Update on our car situation: We were able to purchase a car this weekend that we can afford and that both meets and exceeds our needs. We still have loads of details to work out with the situation that caused us to have to buy so suddenly, but I know God will be faithful in those matters as well.
