Anyone know how much a healthy daily carb count it. I don't keep track because I work out and eat unlimited veggies, meat, cheese, soy milk, andnuts and eggs daily. But a friend just found she has pcos and asked me if Iknow I am looking online, but haven't found it yet. thanks,

Personally, I've never found anything that works for me. And I've tried a lot. Dusty

Regardless of whether we have pcos or not, we should be cutting our intake of refined carbs and switching to unrefined carbs ~ brown rice, pasta, wholewheat flour, other grains (spelt, barley, quinoa etc). As a basic rule of thumb, your carbs shouldn't take up more than 1/4 of the amount of food on your plate.

I got pregnant with Jessica on the carbohydrate addicts diet. They allow one regular meal a day. I have found that within a week of getting back on after taking a vacation from dieting that I have to force myself to eat since I am just not hungry. http://www.carbohydrateaddicts.com/ I would loose weight fast if I would quite going on vacation. :0) quote:

OK, does anyone else crave salt? I could literally pour salt out of the shaker and eat it. Sweets don't interest me all that much. None of my doctors have ever been able to explain this. Dusty

I personally don't crave salt in that manner. From the sounds of it, your doctors don't have an answer either. Hmmmm..... I'm happy with just eating chips or crackers every now & again, LOL. So far I have noticed that my appetite seems to be slightly reduced with the cinnamon. (Or maybe it's a combination of that & DH being gone). Um, where does one find fenugreek? (I think that's how it's spelled). I looked at Wal-Mart & didn't have success.

Craving a particular food can be an indicator that you're allergic to it. Fenugreek seeds should be in the herb/spice section of the supermarket. A health food store should have them.

As to sensitivity, I've never noticed any other symptoms of sensitivity to anything that I eat. Hmmm. Sounds like a little research is in order. Dusty

Thanks the info about where to find fenugreek. I ran a search & read a wiki article about it. It seems that it can help with diabetes (and that sort of thing).....but...it can further cause more irregularities in one's monthly cycles. Does anyone use this to help in their treatment of PCOS?
