Sad thing is my team is on par to be worse than your team and we have solid ownership. :X We just didn't have the circus antics and such that yours did in the first few years.

If the Blue Jackets manage to have 3 straight fewer than 20 win seasons in the midst of 6 straight 40+ loss seasons, then we'll talk about them being on par to be worse than the Lightning were. Even the season they made the playoffs and lost in the 1st round to the Flyers, they couldn't manage to win 50% of their games.

Believe me, things could be a lot worse than simple mediocrity. Not that mediocrity is easy to watch or anything.

And the Canes are rapidly hitting that goal. Speaking of hitting, this is something the Canes seem adverse to doing on a regular basis.

We got your number on the 40+ loss seasons but wowsa, those 3 less than 20 win seasons are going to be hard to top.

With a 4-3 loss to the Flames last night the Canes have now lost three games in a row and have lost seven of their past ten games, They play the Flyers tonight in Philly and have lost all three games they have played this year. It's not looking good in Canes nation and the natives are starting to want to throw the entire team under the bus.

Chris Simon received 30 game suspension for his intent to injure incident against my Pens the other night.

The more I watch hockey, the less I see the need for goons like this in the league.

Well, the Lightning called up their AHL goalie Karri Ramo since goaltending hasn't been so pretty these last games. He was in net tonight for his first NHL start and looked pretty impressive against the Leafs. Stopped 30 of 31 shots, and other than a shutout, there's not much more you can ask, especially since the Lightning have won precious few games where they've scored fewer than 3 goals over the last few years. It's nice to finally see a 2-1 game go our way for once.

Gaborik's 5 goals were impressive, but nothing compared to Sidney's Gordie Howe Hat Trick! He actually threw a few punches too! Ference got up bleeding, but you couldn't tell for sure how it occurred.

If the camera angles for the Buffalo game are like they were for Edmonton it should be a fun game to watch. Got a great view of the ice the first time around because they didn't have all the up close cameras.

My mother-in-law who commutes to Ottawa has become a Senators fan! That makes me one of now two in the US! :P She gets them through her work.

I'm watching the Sabres/Pittsburgh game today and they had a lot of stoppages of play due to the snow coming down hard over in Buffalo. I just hope and pray that this idea will save this game and even get the televison ratings up.

Secondly, on the Kings front, they lost 8 in a row, finally ended the year winning two over Buffalo and Colorado and hopefully this will be a start to getting back into the playoff race, which would take a miracle to do so (Maybe they need to call Joel Osteen for motivation, lol... )

I really enjoyed watching the New Year's day game. (It didn't hurt that my team won!) Except for the stoppages to fix and re-surface the ice, I think it went better than expected. The players had a blast, the stadium was rocking, and the game was exciting. They should probably consider doing this more often. I don't really see a down side to it.

Good game but the stoppages took much too long. The Canes parted ways with Grahme today and called up Leighton from Albany. The rumor mill is that another big player is about to get traded. Also, the team is missing an number of players due to concussions, groin injuries, knee injuries, etc. Soon the team will consist of mostly River Rats.

Last night's Pens/toronto game was the most entertaining this season. The Pens scored 6 times, Malkin had his first NHL hat trick, and Ruutu beat the snot out of Darcy Tucker. Pittsburgh has now won 5 in a row, and is looking much more like the team that most folks picked to compete for the Eastern Conference crown.

Now if Lacavilier would be so kind as to stop scoring so Sid can catch up, that would be ever so nice.

The Lightning seem to be doing their dead level best to figure out how to blow every game. Something better change fast or it's dunzo for them. They can't even do anything in the way of personnel moves since the sale of the team is in process. It's just a giant holding pattern.

I know that this is a NHL Bord but did anybody watch the World Junior Championships?

One of the greatest tourneys in a long while. Canada won the whole thing but had to fight there way to get there. They won their first two games but then we played sweden in the third game. We had the lead going into the third but the sweeds scored three and took the lead. We scored again to tie the game but the sweeds scored again with seven seconds left to win the game. Canada won their next game to go into the semis. First Game Was Against the Fins. We won and then against the States and we beat them as well. Then It was the gold metal game against Sweeden again. We won in ot to win our fourth straight gold metal

It looks as if the Southeast Division is turning again into the SouthLeast Division. The callups from the River Rats have showed promise but it remains to be seen what will happen when the regulars get of the IR list. Even Lavi is on the hot-seat in the Canes message board.

Well, the Lightning managed to beat the Rangers, shockingly even though they have been stinking up the joint lately they're still only 8 points out of a playoff spot at the moment.

Pens win for the 7th straight time! Now we are just a point behind NJ for the division. Ty Conklin has been playing lights out during this stretch. Not sure what they will do when Fleury comes back off IR.

Canucks Squeaked one out against the Blues tonight. They had a 3-1 lead going into the third but the Blues tied up the game but we won in the shootout
